My Review of Autohaus of Clayton:
Brought my 2007 328i because of a problem with my bluetooth. there were courteous, very nice system of dropping your car off and had my loaner ready. only issue was that they didn't call me the first day to tell me that the car wasn't ready. on the second day, they called to say that my phone wasn't compatible even though it had been working for the last 10 months. But when I picked it up, they called the technician, who sat in my car with my for 20 minutes, we covered everything and tested several phones. By this time, my phone was working perfectly. I was very impressed with the level of service. All covered by my warranty.

My Review of Autohaus of Clayton:
The salesman listed above outright lied to my wife and I. During the course of our sales process, Brett said repeatedly if we ever needed to have work done on our BMW, all we needed to do was to call him, and, as he lived near our house, he would arrange a link-up with us after work to switch out cars (ours for a loaner) as long as we were comfortable with him driving our car. He reiterated this point even after the sale was complete, which reinforced the reason we bought a BMW, as the service was at an entirely different level than we had previously experienced. This past weekend (7 Oct 07), the convertible top stopped functioning on our 330ci. When my wife called Brett to take him up on his offer, he said that he was not allowed to trade out cars. As I am a Marine who works in NC, while my wife works full time and takes care of our 4 children, I want her to have every possible convenience at her disposal. Autohaus mentions integrity twice in their mission statement. Additionally, there is no ability to e-mail the Gen Mgr on their website. Only the ability to e-mail a sales rep.

My Review of Autohaus of Clayton:
There seems to be a hierarchy at Autohaus, those who own 7- or 5-series BMW's (or--gasp!--even 3-series) and those who own (another gasp!) Minis. After waiting over an hour for what turned out to be a non-existent Mini loaner (as 3 or 4 BMW loaners were parked perkily along the front), I was told that someone from Enterprise would be down in "just a minute" with a loaner. This did not occur, nor did anyone seem to notice. After 20 minutes of more patient waiting, a very nice mechanic approached me and offered to drive me to Enterprise himself. The worker bees--the mechanics--always seem really nice and very good at their craft. But there is a sense that owners of more expensive cars get preferential treatment. I'm from the land of public education--very egalitarian--so bringing my Mini in for service has been disheartening.

I had to get new tires and needed them in short order. I called the service, told them my delimma, they said no problem, they would have the car ready by 1pm the following day. I showed up on time, the service guy was walking back in the dealership with his buddies from lunch. I asked if my car was ready and he said, "didnt anyone call you, we don't have the tires in stock". I drove 30 minutes each way because they told me on the phone, they had them in stock. They had already taken the tires off, so I couldn't just drive my car home. We had to go out of town. My wife took the loaner back 2 or 3 days later and she was so ill she was throwing up in the parking lot with the flu. They wanted 7 bucks cash for gas when they kept my car extra days because of their foul up. She had to go to an ATM to get cash, no credit card. I was called for a survey, the person asked if I would like someone to call me, I said absolutely, no call. I asked for all my service records so I could go to another dealer, no response. Emailed the service manager, no response. Bottom line, this has been the best car I have ever owned but because of service, I will not be a repeat purchaser. I would not recommend their service department to anyone.

Great purchasing experience and a wonderful staff overall.
I was able to get a decent deal (not a great one when compared to what others were paying nationwide), but I'm totally satisfied with the purchase.
The customer service tops it all and is the best in town.

Anyone planning to buy a BMW, look no further. The Autohaus of Clayton is a clear winner. Contact either Brett or Bob from their sales staff.

BTW, I 'purchased' a 328XI through their finance department as they easily beat my credit union's offer. :)

Even their service staff were friendly when I went in to check on a minor mirror related issue.

Was originally shopping for a Benz but due to the complete absence of customer service at the local Benz dealers, decided to explore BMWs. Heard that Autohaus is a good dealership so asked for a internet quote on the details of a lease. I wasn't disappointed. Brett sent me a very detailed breakdown, including residual value, money factor, total inception payment, and total monthly payment. Rates were very good and very transparent. Anyways, after a couple more email exchanges to clarify a few additional terms, we did the deal. Overall, a very painless car buying experience.

My Review of Autohaus of Clayton:
My first lease on a Z4 through Autohaus is coming to an end and we met with Steve to have my car inspected and place an order for the next car. We had no problems on the inspection or with placing the order for my new 328xi. We had done a fair amount of research and basically came in knowing what we wanted. It was a fairly simple process and they helped me extend my current lease for one month until the new car arrives (it had to be ordered).

I have worked with them throughoug my lease for several repairs and for such matters as renewing my license plates. They have been helpful every step of the way.

Excellent sales/purchase experience. I'm so glad I didn't buy from the other dealership in town. Hands down the winner between the two dealerships. Autohaus got my money, and I got my money's worth!

My Review of Autohaus of Clayton:
Had a engine bearing "service action", drove 120 miles to get the required engine work. During the week long service which included other service a hood dent occurred (in my opinion). Pictures of the car before service did not reveal any significant dent and it was present post work. Snow/ice was on car thus not noted when picked up Jan 2005. When melted in garage at home there it was. Communicated my concerns to service mgr and forwarded photos/info. They desired not even to see it, said it must have been something/bird I ran into going home?! What bird?? Had to pay over 1800 for a new hood. Their comment was...file it on your insurance since that's what it is for. I am not happy with the support from the dealer or BMW on this issue. I will never recommend this dealer to anyone!
