I was in the market for a 135i and had already talk to several dealers. Although everyone was very friendly and some very helpful, they were not talking back... I did my homework and I new the rates, mone several dealers. Although everyone was very friendly and some very helpful, they were not talking back... I did my homework and I new the rates, money factor, residuals and no matter what, the numbers I was getting were always higher than I knew it should be. That's when I saw sammie's review and I decided to give Steve Thomas a try. I show them my numbers and they call me right away with their numbers. Chris went through the numbers explaining some differences (some were higher, and some lower). One example was that I used the wrong money factor and he pointed out the actual number was lower... (I used the 2010 rate instead of the 2009). That's how strait forward the talk went. I just went there during my lunch break and got the car. I cannot stress more how easy and smooth the whole process was. Highly recommended. More
I had sent out a e-mail to all the dealers that I was looking to buy or lease a car via the net. I sent about 25 dealers this e-mail. I had driven the car at my local dealer, but when we started to work looking to buy or lease a car via the net. I sent about 25 dealers this e-mail. I had driven the car at my local dealer, but when we started to work the numbers I kept catching the CA at higher Bank deposit or different Money factors or Residual Values. I had learned a ton of stuff from Bimmerfest.com so I new better. I was on the phone with SBBMW and had a question about the Money Factor to my CA. He made me feel like he was mad at me for even asking the question. I just wanted to understand. We hung up and Ryan at that moment called. I thought I am just going to lay it all out, know more cat and mouse game. Tell him what I new about the Z4 30i and what I wanted to pay. I want the deal. Got the deal then we worked on payment. Got the payment I wanted. Now already had financing, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy the first year of this kind of Z4 it already had one recall for wiring. I decided to lease. Did all of this in my front living-room in about 2 1/2 hours. I would ask a question he would call me right back, quotes via the net. I ended up with wholesale for the car. The car had three single options on it. I am paying the 499.00 month for 30 10k. I don't drive a lot so that fine with me. I was beginning to think when do I get to the fun part about buying a car. Ryan made it fun. He is the internet guy. There are two Ryan's at STBMW so say his last name. 5 weeks of learning every thing I could about this car payed off. Yes I said Wholesale, not invoice AKA base price or MSRP Wholesale. Bimmerfest post those prices, but your local BMW like South Bay just gave them to me. SBBMW I went in there three time's, felt like you should be lucky to be in my dealership. Ryan changed all that. I felt like I should. No pressure, making sure I was getting what I wanted to get. Making sure I was in my comfort zone and answered all my questions honestly. I know because I tried to bate him. Sorry Ryan if you read this LOL They are going to deliver my car to me and I will sign those paper at my home. I would 100% recommend Ryan Amico the internet guy to sell you a BMW. I am a women of 55 years and it is harder on us. I will always buy from Mr. Ryan Amico. I say buy because the next one will be. TY again Ryan can't wait for the car to be here. I just made the deal today. God I am glad that is over for now LOL The next time will be a walk in park. The next one will be Okay Ryan its time to buy how much LOL thats it.. Why can't every thing be this easy. More
It is so funny to read the reviews in this forum. I took my car their for service and also had to wait for close to a month to get my car back. The staff there was at best unplugged. My guess is they are my car their for service and also had to wait for close to a month to get my car back. The staff there was at best unplugged. My guess is they are either xxxxxxxx or exceptionally stoned. The work being done on my vehicle was simple repair work after one of the 'certified pre owned bmw tow truck drivers' dropped my car. BMW North America agreed to pay for the repairs, after many tense phone calls. Steve Thomas was not able to comprehend this most simple aspect of being reimbursed by the company that provided his livelyhood and became defensive to the point of getting in my face (good thing he did not pursue any further). Of course I got my car back in approximately four weeks: dirty, wheels out of alignment, and more than 100 miles on the odometer than what it was turned in with. I can only assume that there brain dead service people took it on a joy ride while they waited for BMW North America to reimburse. Not sure how this guy stays in business, but fortunately there are several other BMW dealerships in the area that provdie a much higher quality product and level of service. More
Went to lease vehicle was told that they could honor lease advertised by another dealer, just to bring in ad. Arrived at dealership with ad, salesman took it to manager. They told me they would honor lease advertised by another dealer, just to bring in ad. Arrived at dealership with ad, salesman took it to manager. They told me they would honor the deal and salesman was to show me cars to pick from. Applications were filled out and they went to finance. Now the deal that was agreed upon severl hours ago was no good. They would not honor the deal but I could pay more and get the car. A big waste of time, I bought a car somewhere else. More
An Open Letter to Steve Thomas BMW of Camarillo To Whom An Open Letter to Steve Thomas BMW of Camarillo

To Whom It May Concern,

Thank you so much for the service we received at your dealership An Open Letter to Steve Thomas BMW of Camarillo

To Whom It May Concern,

Thank you so much for the service we received at your dealership today by a service assistant who shall remain nameless. He was very efficient at turning my wife away in the rain today with her dead windshield wipers 30 miles from home.

I was so pleased to hear you had such courtesy as to check the fuse. That was really a valiant effort on your part. I heard to that you also even managed to lift the hood and point a flashlight toward the wiper motor. That is a true demonstration of your technical skills. But I really admire your ability to quote the repair at $400 to $600 because the wiper motor would have to be torn down and inspected because what she was experiencing was a very rare problem. Since you couldn't even perform these 'repairs' until the middle of next week, I also appreciate how you made my wife and 6 year old daughter risk their lives to get back home without the windshield wipers functioning. That really gave my family a lesson in bravery, I hope to return the favor to you sometime in the future.

Unfortunately, that scam on my computer they call "The Internet" had some sort of urban legend that this problem is common. And that by removing the wiper motor cover (with no tools even required! HoHo!), the problem is probably caused by a loose bolt on the wiper motor to the wiper arm mechanism. Gullible "Me" tried this silly hoax, and incredibly, I was able to perform the same $600 operation you could, but in 10 minutes rather than 4 days. I promise not to let the secret out (except maybe for writing a letter to your Service Manager, BMW USA and post this message wherever I can on the internet).

And in the future, should my car break down in front of your dealership, I will proceed to push it 11 miles uphill to the next BMW facility because I probably need the exercise.

Yours Truly,

Jack Brown
More
This was definitely the most rewarding car-buying experience of my life. My wife and I traded in both of our current vehicles for two 325i's.
Both James (salesperson) and Tony (sales Manager) wer experience of my life. My wife and I traded in both of our current vehicles for two 325i's.
Both James (salesperson) and Tony (sales Manager) were very courteous, knowledgeable and accomodating... I had set some very tight goals for myself in terms of what I could/would pay and after negotiating ended up exactly where I wanted to be.
I NEVER felt pressured to close the deal, and they made every effort to make sure that the cars we bought were exactly what we wanted. This was a very "top-shelf" process, including sitting with the finance Manager (Jim) who was informative and professional.. there was no feeling what-so-ever of being "chiseled" with "add-ons".
Have not had service performed yet, but if that goes anything like the sales process I will be quite satisfied. I would unhesitatingly recommend this dealer to anyone who is considering a BMW. The process was very much in keeping with the perception of what owning a BMW should be all about....Quality, Class Operation, Professional Environment, Empathetic Staff... This experience was worlds removed from previous (numerous) car buying experiences I have had over the years...
More
I had an experience similar to B_Stubbs (I was harassed directly in a demeaning fashion by Steve Thomas). I bought a new 330i at an agreed upon price through a broker agent. I picked up the car and paid directly in a demeaning fashion by Steve Thomas). I bought a new 330i at an agreed upon price through a broker agent. I picked up the car and paid the price in full at the time of pickup. A few days after the transaction I received a notice that I owed an additional amount, even though I had receipts stating that I had paid. I was harassed by Steve Thomas personally, demeaned and threatened with a law suit. The broker tried to help by corroborating my story. Steve Thomas continued harassing me and ignored the broker. Finally the broker felt so bad about my treatment that he paid the additional money. More
Ok, so I was in an accident and my thought was, " who else is better to bring the car to than BMW" Well that would have been nice if it had ever got there! I dropped my car off there and a week lat who else is better to bring the car to than BMW" Well that would have been nice if it had ever got there! I dropped my car off there and a week later they told me that they had to hand the car off to another "Steve Thomas Approved" body shop called EPR Collision. Avoid these people at all costs! Anyway, so EPR screwed the car up more than the accident did. They had my car for over a month and when I got it back there were greese stains all over the headliner plus the car drove like crap. I had to beg for them just to clean it. Finally over a month later my car is still messed up and EPR finnally gave up dealing with me. I literally came up to fists with the owner over the whole issue. Now my insurance claim has been re-opened and Steve Thomas is finally doing the work. Well, doing the work is not what I would call it. 1 week later I got my car back again and still the same xxxx thing is wrong with it. I HATE this dealership and I can't wait to get a Mercedes. SHAME ON STEVE!!!! More
This dealership is very friendly so long as you are not complaining or asking for anything from them. I serviced my BMW with Steve Thomas for several years without incident. However, on the last visit, t complaining or asking for anything from them. I serviced my BMW with Steve Thomas for several years without incident. However, on the last visit, they botched a service that resulted in a major problem at highway speeds. Fortunately, I was able to steer the car safely off the highway. I complained about the incident and lack of care regarding my service visit. They merely said sorry without offering any refund or even accepting responsibility. I complained further and they told me to take my business to another dealer if I did not like their work. So I did. Bottom line: if you pay them and keep your mouth shut, all is good. Customer service there is a joke. More
I obtained a small claims judgment against BMW and Steve Thomas BMW. When they failed to pay the judgment I faxed letters to avoid going back to Court. Steve Thomas himself called me and threatened me tha Thomas BMW. When they failed to pay the judgment I faxed letters to avoid going back to Court. Steve Thomas himself called me and threatened me that if I sent him another fax (even though he owed me money and would not pay) that he would sue me for harassment. He then mocked me by saying that if I really needed the money that he woud loan it to me. The whole telephone call he had me on speakerphone with others in his office and everyone was laughing and having a good time at the show Mr. Thomas was putting on. What a class act! Avoid this dealership at all costs. More
