I was giving brand new loaner with less than 3k Service writer and techs and cashier ....all were nice and They greet you when you come in ... DO NOT GET YOU CAR SERVICED AT WEST GERMAN BMW! I normally do not take my car to West German for service, but chose to this time for proximity…I will definitely not make this mistake again. My 201 I normally do not take my car to West German for service, but chose to this time for proximity…I will definitely not make this mistake again. My 2018 BMW X1 with 24k miles went in for routine maintenance. My Service “Advisor” (if you can call him that) called me to tell me that my front brakes needed to be replaced, which was shocking. After I questioned the fact that the brakes needed to be replaced at such a low mileage, my Advisor began to insinuate that the brakes needed to be replaced based upon the way I drive my car (i.e., with a heavy foot). I use my car for my daily commuting, which is all highway. Additionally, I have travelled from Philly to Pittsburgh ten times and from Philly to Boston three times since I leased my car. Therefore, the likelihood of me actually burning through brake pads in 24k miles is completely ridiculous since 90% of my driving is highway. If such driving caused such a need, the only legitimate answer would be that BMW is now making inferior brake pads. Furthermore, for the past 10 years I have leased other BMWs, including two 3-series and one X3 and have never had to replace brake pads on any cars even when driving into the +40k mileages. It is interesting to note that this is the first model year BMW that I have leased since BMW removed brake pads from their included maintenance plan. Coincidence - I think not! One thing to keep in mind about WG is that they told me I needed to replace my brake pads at 4/32”, when the PA state inspection limit is 2/32”, which I found out later. While I appreciate WG notifying me that my brake pads were worn, WG was completely deceptive and deceitful by indicating the brake pads needed to be replaced now. WG did not mention that I was still above PA DOT’s limit and that I could get many more months or even of year of life out of the existing brake pads. Doesn’t sounds like a good Advisor to me. After my Advisor reiterated that I needed to get the new front brake pads in order to continue to drive safely, I gave in and told him to do it. Three hours later, he gave me a call to tell me that WG would need to keep the car overnight because they needed to order a new brake line that was leaking. Turns out the brake line hose that was leaking was connected to the exact brakes that he told me needed new brake pads. Sounds like just a coincidence, right? When I questioned my Advisor about this coincidence, he was not willing to respond and constantly said they were unrelated. He then belittled me multiple times, acted as if I did not know anything, and said, “Do you even know the way brakes work?”. After multiple times of trying better understand the situation, it was clear to me that he was not going to listen to me or even answer my questions. So what did this event tell me about WG service department? 1) They will find something requiring of service that is not covered under the included maintenance plan to make more money. 2) They will be deceitful and not tell you the full truth in order to get more money from you. 3) When you have questions or disagree with their opinion, they will belittle you, ignore your comments, and still force you to pay. Do yourself a favor and take your service needs to Thompson BMW or BMW of Devon, because West German is just going to steal your money. More

Send Help...or Stay Away! I took my BMW in for my scheduled service on Monday morning. When I arrived I wasn’t greeted or welcomed by anyone. I could understand if it was busy I took my BMW in for my scheduled service on Monday morning. When I arrived I wasn’t greeted or welcomed by anyone. I could understand if it was busy but at 9:30 in the morning the AM rush was gone. Thirty minutes after I arrived I was out the door, later in the day I was called with a follow up on what my car needed. During the conversation I inquired about the tire service plan I purchased when I leased my car. the service guy answered my question then I asked for a copy of the service plan. He told me he’drequest a copy for me. Later when he called to tell me the car was ready I asked if he was able to get the service plan we discussed earlier. He stated he was working on it. Three hours later when I arrived to pick up my car, there was no document for me as we discussed. When I inquired about it was instructed to go over to the finance department. The woman at the front desk was very sweet and asked how she could help, when I told her what I needed she went back and talk to the two gentlemen in the finance department and later came back out asking for my email address telling me that they would send it over immediately once they had my email. Here we are 36 hours later and I still have yet to receive the document I have now requested at least six times I’m not sure what the problem is with this dealership. I also noticed there was a used M550 on the lot according to their website so I inquired about that vehicle when I was in the showroom. I was told the sales manager had that vehicle and it wasn’t there. Much to my surprise nobody asked if I would like to come back to see it. I don’t proceeded to walk around the show room and lots for additional 25 minutes and much to my surprise not a single sales rep came out and asked if they can help with anything. To say it was a disappointed would be a complete and total understatement. More

I paid for servise and they damage my X 1 .Never expect something like this from any BMW dealership !!! They lost my and my fiends business.I will not give them my lawn mower to fix!!! More

West German BMW Strikes Out Again Took my can in for inspection and this is where they failed again. The car was taken for a wash although they know I do not want the car washed, wh Took my can in for inspection and this is where they failed again. Every time they wash my car something happens where I am put out; this is what happened when they took the car to be washed and cleaned: 1 . Car Registration card is missing 2. Insurance card is missing 3. Had a bank statement for the American Legion Post where I am the finance office missing - now I have to get the board together to let them know our Post's EIN number and bank account number are out there 4. Had a copy of a BFI (Buyers Financial Information) in an envelope in the front seat and that is missing - Now I have to close my bank accounts and open new ones But they did not throw away a pack of opened cigarettes that might of been under the front seat for maybe a few weeks, they place the pack nicely on the passenger seat. As I would smoke an opened pack of cigarettes that has been seating in a hot car for a week weeks. These people are so fascinated with washing the customers cars that it is beyond OCD and mental illness. There should be a new class of disorder just for them WGCWD (West German Car Wash Disorder). The service is terrible, they have caused issues and they think that peoples information being out there is no big deal in an era of identity theft, they are stuck in the 80's. This was the same issue as my prior review, where they gave another customer my information (name, address, and license number) and they gave me the other customers info by mistake. If they put as much emphasize on protecting peoples information as they do washing the cars then there would be no issue. I have a lease so I am stuck for the next 10 months but after leasing since 2003 with them, I will be moving on to another dealer and make of car. BMW USA should really look at this place and how they provide service (I use service loosely when associating the word with West German Sales). More

335xi Steering Issues - Difficult to resolve My 335xi had an issue where it pulled to the right. The car went to the dealer multiple times. I had lost hope in a fix. Once the issue was escalated to the service manager (Richard Lanci) extra attention was taken to ensure me that the issue would be resolved. The service manager drove the car and called me almost every day to let me know what was done. At the end of it all there was actually a problem with the alignment machine and an adjustment that needed to be made to the steering rack. Even though this issue took a while to figure out and resolve the dealership did a wonderful job. Thanks -Mark More
