My Review of BMW of Oyster Bay:
My right front wheel had become damaged as a result of the brake pad clip falling off while driving. The dealership did the brake job. That was the beginning of the problem although I did accept this as a mistake. Things happen. The dealership sent my wheel out for repair which basically was a paint job. The wheel was damaged cosmetically. It was not bent or unusable. After a few months the paint chipped off. I went back to the dealership to have it repaired again. They then claimed that they had fixed the problem but what they had done was taken my spare out of the trunk and put it on the car. They replaced my spare with a steel generic, non matching wheel. I asked what had happened to my spare. My car came with five matching wheels. They never admitted what they had done. They claimed that my car came with four matching wheels and a different spare. BMW of North America was able to verify that the car came with five matching wheels from the VIN number. I ended up getting my wheel back. They claimed that they had given me a new wheel which was not true. In my trunk is the wheel that needed repair. The wheel on the car is my spare. This was an extremely frustating ordeal.
