My Review of BMW of San Diego:
I just hope SALES people like BRIAN would be consistent with PRICE on extra options when I bought my car. It seems like BRIAN and FINANCIAL DEPT, don't see each other eye to eye....THIS TELLS SOMETHING ABOUT THEIR CREDIBILITY....I bought my car here because I researched a lot of dealership and they have the CAR that I like with several OPTIONS and it is under CPO. I just hope it was pleasant buying experience.

My Review of BMW of San Diego:
Went in to buy a specific car and requested a 09 328 sedan. Mark tried to upsale me to a 09 335 coupe. I said if you can make the price comparable to that of the 328 sedan, then I might consider it. Of course the do the whole dog and pony show "let me go run the numbers with my manager"... He comes back wanting something way over my price range. I laughed at him and said "I can't believe you guys are hurting for business - I've checked the news reports for the past 11 months for BMW national sales and you're sales are under 25% average month over month, and you continue to act this way." He did not like that comment. I also told him I asked for a specific car and he didn't acknowledge my initial request. I went as far as contacting BMW corporate and yet have to hear back from them. For a company that promotes such esteem, they sure don't act like it.

I would think this is a buyers market when it comes to automobiles... no wonder dealerships are going under.

My Review of BMW of San Diego:
First of all, I would bet 100 bucks half the positive comments about particular sales people are the "actual" sales people. First of all, the BMW sales men said the chrome wheels were "factory new" in fact I could out they were not. Especially, when a private company was in the back of the store bringing chrome BMW wheels. Second of all, talk to 3 different sales men and you get 3 different answers. they are dishonest, overpriced, and lie! The BMW "pre-certified" warranty is a scam because it starts from the date of service, not when you purchase the car. Watch out! And I saved 12k by going to someone else. Compare prices! Talk to Brian in used cars and if you buy a car elsewhere he will show his immaturity and say something negative about the new car place.

I noticed they wined and dined me and wifey when I brought my 760 in but when someone else brought in a 1994 540 they treated them different.

ps the BMW keychains, license plates are on ebay, etc. dont get ripped off! Wow 39 for a keychain, wow.

This is my personal opinion.

My Review of BMW of San Diego:
Mark Marques was extremely rude and uninterested in working with me as a customer. The dealer facility is very nice but the lack of customer service is not even something you'd expect in a Kia dealer. Service preformed on my car was acceptable and hassle free.

My Review of BMW of San Diego:
Our family has purchased a few BMWs from Harry. It's always been a positive experience. We're even hoping to get a new 1-Series from him soon!!

Service has always been great, as well! They get my car in, offer a free loaner car if necessary (although, I wish it was a BMW rather than a Toyota), and call as soon as it's ready.

BMWs really are the ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE! :)

My Review of BMW of San Diego:
I leased a 2006 BMW 325i last year. After 4 months, the airbag light went off so I brought the car back to the dealership to have it fixed. It took 2 days not including Saturday and Sunday for them to fix the problem. Two months later, the same problem occured. I had to drop off the car at the dealer for another 2 days. Both times I was provided with a loaner (Toyota Camry 2007). On June 30th, 2007, I brought the car in because of the noise in the front tires. The sound from front tires makes driving unbearable. I have Bridgestone Turanza RFT on the car. Brad Lawn was my service manager at that time. Without even drive-test the car, he told me that the tires are defective and need to be replaced. He said that it will cost me around $500 to replace 4 tires since the tire manufacturer will pay for half the cost of the tires. I told him that's a rip-off since I only had 13K miles on the tires. He rudely told me that's the BMW's policy and there's nothing that he can do. I told him that I spent a lot of money on this car and I expected better customer service than that. Brad then told me to leave and never to set foot in his dealership again. His dealership? Does he own that dealership? When I leased this vehicle, I thought I would get a world class customer service but instead, I got a "Nazi class" customer service. What a bunch of crooks. You should be ashamed of yourself, BMW of San Diego. Thanks for NOT standing behind your product. I will never buy a BMW from this dealership again. This is my first and also will be my last BMW. I got a new name for my BMW now, the Ultimate P.O.S.

My Review of BMW of San Diego:
Bought the car in May 2007 it's been back to the service 3 times now for the same problem. I was refused service the last time because the time I was able to come in wasn't convenient for them "no loaner cars available" (right). They like to get you in and out regardless of the quality of work done which is poor. I have no choice to go somewhere else, this is the only BMW service station in my area.

My Review of BMW of San Diego:
Bought a pre-owned 2001 325i. A year later, I was rotating my tires and checked spare in trunk for first time since purchase. It turned out the spare alloy rim was bent and spare tire was swollen. I took vehicle to BMW of San Diego to explain and show problem, and try to get the spare tire replaced. First, I went to Service dept., they directed me to Sales dept. The new car sales manager was condescending and all but accused me of being a scammer. He basically stated that all used cars are inspected before selling and that there was no way the car would have been sold with a damaged spare. Typical response from a dealer who doesn't care about customer satisfaction the minute the car leaves the lot. From now on, my BMW needs will be met at Cunningham BMW or independent garage.

Absolutely the most on the ball dealship in SoCal to get your BMW serviced. From appt making to checking the car in and get the loaner, this place is a well greased machine.

Absolutely fabulous SA and worry free service made this the place to go for me.

As long as your car is under factory coverage, definitely get services done here.

My Review of BMW of San Diego:
Alright, I know that BMW of SD has been slammed a lot here and in other websites, but my most current experience with them was pleasant. I took my 2005 545i in for service 12/13/05. They fixed everything I asked them to do.
1. Replace all 4 RFTs due to premature wearing. They did this without any arm pulling. They're aware of the SIB regarding this issue.
2. Fixed passenger window issue. They replaced the window regulator.
3. Fixed Nav issue with latest software. My Nav was acting crazy before latest software upgrade.

Now, I too had to wait 3 weeks for my service appointment but I understand since BMW SD is the only dealership in SD county to offer loaner cars to ANYBODY. I got my 545i via European Delivery with Nalley BMW in GA. Most, if not all, BMW delaerships will not offer a loaner car if you did not buy the car from them. I called Harloff and Brecht (two good dealerships I heard through word of mouth) they did not offer loaners. I called Crevier BMW b/c I work in Santa Ana. The person I spoke with said the owner even refuse to offer a loaner to his mother who had bought her BMW from someone else! C'mon refusing your own mother?! When I heard that it left a bad taste in my mouth about Crevier.

Since the latest software upgrade my radio has been acting a little weird b/c of the RDS being enabled. This is not a dealership problem. This is software related. I am waiting for the next CIP update which is 20. I'm hoping that will fix my RDS problem. Currently, I have RDS turned off. I will be taking my car back to BMW SD again for this fix sometime in January or February 2006.
