My Review of BMW of the Main Line:
When the dealer was owned by Don Rosen my experiences were all wonderful. Now that's it owned by Main Line, after letting most of the former employees leave, the quality of service has declined tremendously. Though I bought my car there, and it's still under warrranty, it takes 3 weeeks to get a loaner for planned maintenance; for unscheduled problems, like the car won't start, I can't get a loaner. The car has been in 4 times in as many months for a spark plug problem they claim is just a fluke (after initially denying there even was a problem--ultimately, a dead car made problem recognition essential!) The service guy, though nice enough, is unable to discuss what the mechanical issues are. The focus seems to be on short term profit maximization, not on long time customer satisfaction. I've been a BMW owner for a while now, but my eyes are roving....

My Review of BMW of the Main Line:
The pits. I thought I had scraped bottom with the other dealer from whom I bought my pre-owned BMW (DeSimone in Cherry Hill, NJ). Not only did these guys not fix what they said they would fix, but they broke a part in my car. Then, to add insult to injury, they tried to say that I had broken the part (although they had to move it to fix one of the problems) and then had the nerve to demand that I pay hundreds of dollars to replace the part that they broke! Stay away! Stay very far away! And unless you are a masochist, or have your own reliable, private mechanic, never, ever buy or keep a BMW that is not covered by a full bumper-to-bumper warranty including all scheduled service. BMW builds a fine car, but their dealers take all of the enjoyment out of owning one with antics such as those of this dealer.

My Review of BMW of the Main Line:
I had an appointment to meet with sales person one afternoon. She stated on the phone that she didn't think she could get our monthly payments where we wanted them to be so I responded to her "tell me how much money I would need to put down in order to get the payments right." She did not return my call so I never met with her that afternoon. A few days later, received a call stating she never heard back from ME and that I must have been too busy to get out to the dealership to meet with her. A few more days later, received another message stating "I thought I really sold you the car, I spent a lot of time dealing with you, I stayed late to let you test drive..." Meanwhile, we went to other dealerships to compare prices and I get another call stating "I stayed late to let you test drive, I heard you were at another dealership, I thought I sold you the car. A week later, yet another phone call stating the same thing "Stayed late to let you drive a bmw, I thought everything was good, I spent a lot of time with you (40mins I guess is considered a lot of time especially when your buying a 39,000.car). I really felt these messages were inappropriate and therefore I took my business to another BMW dealership.
Thanks for staying LATE... I thought it was your job. Purchased a 2005 BMW from a different dealership where I felt comfortable and not pressured!
My Review of BMW of the Main Line:
Hello, bought my car Jan of '04... Brand New 2004 BMW 325CI.
Loved the car, ordered it on the spot in Jan and received it March 12th. After about 1 month of ownership and 2000 miles, I began having problems.... Hey, things happen right? No big deal (So I thought) The cluster on the dash showed an error, the "D" screen went blank and the DSC light stayed on. Had to take the car in to get fixed (1 week for appointment) computer reset/problem fixed. PAID 20 Bucks in Gas/Insurance for my "FREE" Rental.... One month later my alarm stopped working. It would arm itself maybe 1 out of ten times. I would have to stand there and unarm and arm it several times before i could get the chirp to arm. Brought my car in about 3 times over a 2 month period for the techs to fix the problem... (spent about 40 bucks in gas/insurance for my "FREE" rentals...) The problem was not and STILL has NOT been fixed to this day 12-10-04.. The manager told me that "The car knows that you are trying to test it, therefore the alarm wont work everytime" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! HaHaHa Even AFTER I showed the manager in front of him the issue and replicated it, still they said "The computer didnt throw any codes, therefore the car works" Great Job! ((Roll Eyes))
Some time after on my way home from work, my window started rolling up and down by itself and the instuments on the dash would light up... Another 20 bucks in "Free" rentals and computer reset....
I would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone that is interested in buying a new OR used BMW... Their service center although FRIENDLY is not very helpful in servicing their cars that they sell...
And their sales team.... Well, lets just say that I knew more about the cars that they sold then they did...
I still do love BMW, yet NOT as reliable as Lexus....
I plan to purchase a new X5 very soon and possibly an M3 as well... But Not from this dealership

My Review of BMW of the Main Line:
2004 5 series. Horrid service. Promised a loaner when set appointment, then completely refused a loaner when we showed up. Did not return calls for over a week. Car in shop for over 3 weeks. Lied to multiple times. One thing came out their mouth, another thing went on paper. Closed R.O. over a week before they were done working on our car, just so they could close it for the month end-- that part is fraud. Failed to fix over half the faults we brought it in for. Very impolite, difficult to deal with & NEVER returned phone calls! Also a very difficult pick-up routine.
