As a customer of Bill Estes Chevrolet we are concerned that you feel you were not treated in a fair and courteous manner. At Bill Estes Chevrolet we strive to offer the best experience in both sales and service. Unfortunately there are some situations for which there are no mutually acceptable resolutions. When a solution that doesn’t satisfy all parties involved does occur, we do our best to offer as many options as possible. In this case we are faced with several issues. The first being price. We recommend the use of GM parts on all repairs that we perform. These parts have a GM warranty that covers parts and labor at any GM dealer across the nation. While we also can offer aftermarket parts at a cost savings, the savings is the result of a limited warranty and parts quality. Most aftermarket parts not only limit their warranty but also do not cover labor or nationwide coverage. The second issue is product quality. A check of the NHTSA’s web site resulted in no known brake issues on the vehicle described here. The causes of brake pulsation and or rotors warping are many. Driver habits, sticking calipers, improper torque of vehicle wheels and rear brakes that have not been adjusted properly are just a few possibilities. Due to different driver habits, road conditions and situations (city verses highway), it is very possible for one vehicle to get 60,000 miles out of a set of brakes, while another gets less then 30,000. The last issue is with the return of old parts. It is our policy to always offer the return of replaced parts to any and all customers who request them. The only exception to this rule is when the repair is covered under GM warranty. GM warranty policy requires us to return all replaced parts to them for inspection. This insures that all replaced parts are checked for defects and are inspected for possible improvements by the venders who supply these parts to GM. In conclusion, we regret that this customer was not completely satisfied with the service they received at Bill Estes Chevrolet. Without more specifics we can only offer our apology and the fact that we maintain one of the highest rankings in both GM training and Customer service in our entire market. We wish that Ms Josleyn had contacted us to resolve her concerns. Unfortunately we can only solve the problems about which we are made aware.
