Salesperson showed us 3 different cars for my mother who is on a budget. Her trade in barely made it into the dealership. Because of that I believe that the salesperson misjudged us and was completely condescending, rude, and unprofessional. Salesman missed the fact that I drove up in a new 2011 Porsche which I recently purchased for cash. That fact should never have mattered anyway since all customers should be treated with respect no matter what!!!!!!!  After the completely unprofessional actions of the salesperson at Bill Jacobs we went across the street to Lexus of Naperville and I purchased my 4 th car from them that evening.  A beautiful ES for my mom. As always they were professional and gave us a great deal. Mohammad was excellent. 2 days later I went next door to Continental Acura and purchased a beautiful car for my daughter from Kirk Roberts. Over the years my family has purchased many cars from Continental and I could not have been more pleased with this purchase. Bill Jacobs missed 2 sales and treated us in a completely horrible way. Please do not visit this dealer for any reason. More
Ricardo Echeverria was fantastic. He was very attentive to our needs and was very helpful. Not once did we feel any pressure from him. He was very empathetic to our situation and recent move and did everyt to our needs and was very helpful. Not once did we feel any pressure from him. He was very empathetic to our situation and recent move and did everything possible to accomodate us. I would highly recommend Ricardo and this dealership as they are honest, sincere, "real", and not the typical car sales people one would expect. We have never owned a volkswagen, but rest assured, because of our experience, Ricardo Echeverria and Bill Jacobs Volkswagen have another customer for life! More
I am a woman on a budget. I had a routine oil change, but passed my 80,000 mile maint. Bill not only gave me coupon for the oil change, but also helped me figure out how to break up my 80,000 maint. so not t passed my 80,000 mile maint. Bill not only gave me coupon for the oil change, but also helped me figure out how to break up my 80,000 maint. so not to overburden me financially. He even took the time to show me how to change my back turning signal light bulbs. I have been going to Bill Jacobs since I moved back to the Chicago area 10 years ago. The serviced my old Jetta with care, and always treated me like I was driving a top of the line car. I bought my Golf from them in 2006. Didn't even check out any other competitors. Just drove straight to Bill Jacobs and bought what I wanted that same day. In all my years, I have never had a problem. The service guys are very helpful and don't lay the "sell" on as thick as they could. I always get the appointment when I want, and they even squeeze me in last minute. I would highly recommend Bill Jacobs Volkswagen to anyone!! More
We recently purchased a new 2011 Golf TDi from Tony Spadaro. This car replaced our 2004 Jetta TDi Wagon we also had purchased from Tony new. Both experiences were fast and pleasant, this time they ha Spadaro. This car replaced our 2004 Jetta TDi Wagon we also had purchased from Tony new. Both experiences were fast and pleasant, this time they had the Golf I wanted in stock, previously we waited while the Jetta was brought up from Houston distribution, no big deal. We agreed on a price several hundred dollars below invoice and picked the new car up the following day. The only negatives in the transaction was I had to bring the Golf back as the prep guy had left some of the clear sticky film on the alloy wheels although in fairness the car was delivered after dark. Also for some reason we had to fill out a VWoA Credit App even though we paid cash for the car, the claim was they have to look us up with TSA. Huh? Like I'm going to blow up a building with my new Golf, if that is true the government is more screwed up than I believe. Overall our experience was a good one and we would buy our next VW from them. He will always go over all your options and work to find the most cost effective solutions for you and your car. I highly recommend Bill Jacobs VW and suggest you give them a try! More
I am very pleased with the service I received at Bill Jacobs Volkswagen. I got my car in for an oil change and sat in their waiting lounge for a very short period. My service adviser came out and expla Jacobs Volkswagen. I got my car in for an oil change and sat in their waiting lounge for a very short period. My service adviser came out and explained everything they did and everything I needed. He told me when I had to bring my car back and what they would do the next time. I am very happy with the way the service adviser explained everything. More
I recently purchased my 2010 GTI from Bill Jacobs Volkswagen in Naperville and I have to say I have no idea what the other reviewers are thinking. This was the best experience I have ever had purchas Volkswagen in Naperville and I have to say I have no idea what the other reviewers are thinking. This was the best experience I have ever had purchasing a car. The person I worked with was Mike Yesley. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met, yet alone sales people. They went out of their way getting me everything I wanted. Price, color, (that they had to get from another dealership), etc. They even gave me monster mats for the winter at no additional charge. What I really liked is that they were real Volkswagen guys and new their stuff. I like to modify my GTI's and they seemed to take a lot of interest and listened to me. They also gave me good advice and even showed me every single detail of the car before I drove off. The next day Mike Yesley called me and asked me if I was OK and how I enjoyed my car? He also asked me if I needed anything. It was really the best experience purchasing a car I have ever had. (And I have purchased many. If you want a GREAT car buying experience go to Bill Jacobs in Naperville. Class act people! More
Previous to working with Bill Jacobs, I had searched high and low for dealers with a red Jetta TDI. No dealers within a 500 mile radius search had them. Then, by some miracle, I found one at Bill Jacobs. I w and low for dealers with a red Jetta TDI. No dealers within a 500 mile radius search had them. Then, by some miracle, I found one at Bill Jacobs. I went to the dealership that day and talked with the salesman, Chris. We got an amazing price on it! (-$900) and my dad and I were all set to go. I signed a price agreement paper and put a $500.00 deposit on the car, and my dad was planning on returning to sign all the papers. This is where things went terribly wrong. The next day, my dad tried to contact the dealer several times to let him know we were getting the correct paperwork in order and that he would be there to pick up the car in a couple days. We could not get a hold of the salesman and he was not calling us back. This is where I should've known something was wrong. When my dad finally got the salesman on the phone, he told us the car was sold!!! We had a signed price agreement and a deposit on the car and they sold it right out from underneath us! I absolutely could not believe it! Unfortunately for them, I work for a lawyer, who gave me some legal advice and told me that was illegal for them to do that. So getting my deposit back will not be the last time they hear from me. My dad had to buy a silver Jetta instead because we could not find another red one. I am so disappointed in VW and extremely upset at Bill Jacobs. I am definitely going to take this to the next level because what they did was illegal. Please do not buy a car from Bill Jacobs. Go somewhere else. They are sneaky and conniving, and you may possible lose your dream car because paperwork and signatures don't mean anything to them. If you can find the car elsewhere, it would be my advice to do so. More
I called to make an appointment for a 15,000 mile oil change for my 2006 Passat. 'Sure we can fit you in at 1:40pm'. You would assume this means they get your car in at 1.40pm and then actually do the wo change for my 2006 Passat. 'Sure we can fit you in at 1:40pm'. You would assume this means they get your car in at 1.40pm and then actually do the work, but after my wife drove to Bill Jacobs they said they would have to shuttle her back home until the car was ready. They said the car also needed a tire rotation and possible alignment. Now come the problems. I get a call at the end of the day that my car hasn't even had service. They'll need to put me in a rental. They call me the next day to tell me that in addition to the $250 for an oil change, a tire rotation and alignment, that the indicator light is out, I need new wipers, I need carbon cleaning from my intake and that will cost $350. To change the indicator lamp they want $35. Yes $35 to change a light bulb. It's not just the cost, when I pulled into Bill Jacobs there was nothing wrong with the lamp. I think they zapped the thing. I mean is it really a coincidence that a turn signal goes out in the time it sits at a dealer for service? The wipers are absolutely fine -this would have also cost me a rip off amount. As for the carbon thing in my opinion its a well known rip off you can't ever verify. After my alignment, my steering is actually 5 degrees of center and I'm pulling to the left. Did they just ruin my alignment?? I will NEVER return to this dealer. I am certain that no one should EVER go to this dealer for service. In my opinion they are simply trying to take as much money as possible from your wallet with unnecessary and greatly inflated pricing. Please shop around for service - JiffyLube, PepBoys, anywhere. These companies actually do checks for free and by the way the Bill Jacobs oil is the same oil as anywhere else... and it goes in the same hole. I believe these other chains will quote you prices for things you need, not try to make every oil change into $600 bill. When is an appointment not an appointment...when it's with Bill Jacobs. More
