My son's 2013 fusion was parked with no error lights on dash and working turn signals. I decided to drive it some since he moved and all service lights were on including airbag failure and now the turn sig dash and working turn signals. I took it to Billy Howell because of an awful experience at the dealership in Alpharetta. They said the car needed a new turn signal module and then the computer was reprogrammed. After several weeks, they called and said the car was ready. Went to pick it up today and the traction control is showing fault. The guy delivering the car to me actually said, all ready, here you go. Absolutely unbelievable. Up until this point, we have been a die hard Ford family. I'm on my 3rd Expedition/Navigator (all with near 200K miles, latest one is at 145K, we have an old Mariner (148K), an old Ranger (201K), a 98 Mustang (88K). None have ever had this type of issue nor anything other than normal wear parts or things that go out after that many miles (water pump for example). It's very clear that Ford is now designing cars that are so complex, their techs can't even fix them and the consumer is left holding the bag or driving a safety compromised vehicle. Needless to say, our next vehicles will not be Fords unless they do some serious quality changes. My father told Chrysler around 1990, "you've forced me to the Japanese." I'm afraid that is what will happen here (except the 98 maybe). Shame is that you can complain or write letters and no one cares. Will update depending on resolution to this. More

I had my 2016 Mustang (low mileage, garage kept, detailed regularly) in for a basic service that was finished the same day. Came to pick it up the next day to find it had damage to the transmission. Was asked to leave it till Monday (it was Saturday) so the transmission guy could look at it, sure. I was only able to pick up my car 11 days later. My service advisor did not call me when my car was ready the first time, did not answer my calls, was defensive when MY car was damaged in their possession and was trying to charge me ~$400 for it. The time I was able to reach my advisor, was by calling another department, and having them transfer me to her directly. In that conversation she told me she'd have the mechanic install the part and call me back next day, she didn't call me the day she said should would, or the day after, and it wasn't even ready when I called in another day after on top of that. The only reason this isn't a 1 star, is because Glenn the service director, and Tyler in service (who was not my advisor) actually seemed to want to help me with my issue. Was still charged for the part, and had to pay for my own transportation multiple times. I've had my car serviced here a few times, this times the last. More

I had my 2018 F-150 transmission serviced on 1-24-22 (and cooling system and spark plug replacement) at Billy Howell Ford. I began to have them service my truck after I moved to Cumming in May of 2021. Within 2 weeks my transmission began shifting VERY erratically. Sometimes going "out of gear" suddenly and shortly after going back into gear suddenly. I spoke to the service, manager (because I couldn't get a return call from Mike Kelly-the service advisor I had seen) and was told it might have something to do with increased viscosity of new transmission fluid. I was told to bring it in to have checked. I finally was able to on 3-28-22 (some delay as their transmission "guy" was on vacation). I waited for the service for about 2 hours and was then told by Mike Kelly that I needed to replace the transmission - cost would be $7,700+ dollars for a Ford rebuilt transmission. I was stunned as I had had no problem with the transmission until about 1-2 weeks after they had "serviced" it. Told them I would take the truck home and decide what to do. Mike told me he would contact the Ford service rep and see if Ford would help out in some way (financially). He said it would take a couple of days to get an answer from Ford. I called Akin Ford in Winder and the cost to do exactly the same-replace with a Ford rebuilt transmission would be $6,500. A week later (about April 4th) I called Mike to see what Ford said. He told me they hadn't responded to him yet and that he would let me know as soon as he heard -he wanted to get it fixed as badly as I did. Today is April 16th and I still haven't gotten a call from him. I have tried to call him twice since April 4th and left messages for him to please call me. I haven't heard a word from him. I have traded the truck now. I mentioned the problem to Akin Ford in Winder and took about a $4,000 to $5,000 loss due to the problem. I will never set foot in Billy Howell Ford again. I'm very disappointed that there isn't a Ford dealer close to me that I can trust. More
Terrible service. We came out of town to visit my husbands family for the holidays. We were supposed to leave on Sunday when our new 2020 expedition started running rough: we had it towed to the Howe husbands family for the holidays. We were supposed to leave on Sunday when our new 2020 expedition started running rough: we had it towed to the Howell since it was under warranty still. It had a bad injector so they told us they were going to call and order the part and it would be here Tuesday morning. Tuesday came and went and we never even got a phone call we had to call and after multiple attempts finally spoke to someone who told us the part never showed up…so in the mean time they started a 12hr job on a different vehicle and are now telling us our 2hr max injector getting fixed won’t be done until Thursday night or Friday. I only found out this info because I called corporate and they called the dealership to get this info since we haven’t heard anything yet again and it’s going on Thursday. The excuse is very unsurprisingly COVID…. Give me a break I love how big companies use that as an excuse because they don’t want to do there jobs if you’re short staffed say that don’t give a time frame and be a week past what you said. I will never purchase another ford the customer service is ridiculous you pay $70,000 for a vehicle and they don’t care if it takes a crap after 10,000 miles as long as they get the money in their pocket! Once it went to figuring out a monthly payment, the sales manager worked with us to get it closer to what we needed. Two weeks later, I had to take it in because something was wrong that should have been caught before it was sold. Even though I was supposed to have a $250 deductible, Jeff Stevens from the service department talked to sales and waived it because “it was the right thing to do.” Even though I agree with him, I’ve never really experienced a car dealership that was interested in what was right when money was involved. In two weeks, I was able to have firsthand experience with sales and service that ensured my future business with them. More

Took my truck in for an oil change, dropped it off 4hrs early for a 2oclock appointment when I went to pick it up at 4pm they haven't even started. After another 2hrs of waiting I asked for my truck back. They reinsured me that it was almost done, they offered me a free oil change and I refused. I suggested that I would start going some place else since this has been a reoccurring habit every time I come in. He actually made a comment that there business is doing just fine. Got home and my truck was leaking oil and they lost a part. After taking it back up for them to fix their mistake they had to order the part. I waited another week with no phone call to inform me about the ordered part, I called them and they clearly forgot to order it. Now it's been another week and I'm still waiting on the part and a phone call from Ford to inform me what is going on. I have called them and left messages but have not received any return calls. I've been working with Jeff. The quality of work and customer service is poor. This is actually my second review, however I took the first one down after the manager called and promised to fix another issue we had months ago. I will NOT be taking this review down and after my truck is repaired I will not be returning. More
