My Review of Bournival Jeep:
I haven't visited this dealership in a long time. I bought my last vehicle from them in 1988. I was viewing their website and I noticed that Sid Porter was back with them as second in charge I guess. I went in to say hi to him and look around and I was very happy with the entire process and how I was treated. I think you will see much improvement if Sid has any influence on how the customers are treated, and I love my new jeep too.

My Review of Bournival Jeep:
Absolutely bottom of the barrel service!! Mike Fletcher the sales manager is a slimeball who took zero responsibility and neglected to correct a brake pulsation problem when I identified it at time of purchase and required it to be corrected (in writing). It was to be corrected as condition of purchase and I was told the brakes had been "serviced" and the condition was corrected but soon after the pulsation came back. Turns out there was a Service bulletin out because the calipers were defective and would not release causing the rotors to heat and warp. Not sure what they did, probably just lubed the calipers, but it didn't last long and didn't correct the problem. Because I didn't find out about the service bulletin until I took it to another dealer, after I was outside of 3/36,000K, I wasn't covered. Then just today I found out from another dealer that my extended warrantee that supposedly doesn't cover brakes actually covered the calipers! Too bad that neither the bulletin nor the extended warrantee delineates that nuance. Found that out at 95,000+ miles so I'm out of luck again. Jeep will do NOTHING to rectify the issue either. Just a typical case of no one wanting to take responsibility. NEVER AGAIN! JEEP or BOURNIVAL! DON"T DO IT!

My Review of Bournival Jeep:
I bought my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited from Bournival Jeep in March of 2006. I was covered by thier 3 month 3,000 mile warranty as well as the additional added care warranty that I purchased with the vehicle. Within a few weeks of owning the Jeep I was driving late at night and needed to put the heat on, this was the first time I needed to use the heat. When I did so I realized the passenger side of the vehicle was blowing cold air. I made an appointment at Bournival Jeep the next day thinking they would take care of the problem. I was told that the passenger side accuator door for the heat was broke and would cost $800.00 to fix as it wasnt covered under the warranties. The next day I called Dan and asked why they wouldnt cover the repairs. Shame on me for not checking the heat, it was a warm day when I bought it and was more concerned that the AC was working. I was told by Dan if I found the problem before the sale that the price of my vehicle would have gone up. I told Dan no it would not have because I would of told them to pound sand and I would have went elsewhere. After arguing on the phone with Dan on how they wouldnt cover my vehicle Dan said he would fix it for $500.00. At this point after how I was treated on the phone causing me to raise my voice to match his I wouldn't give them a cent if he offered to fix it at that price! Horrible attitudes, horrible service. Stay Away from Bournival Jeep.

My Review of Bournival Jeep:
I bought my Jeep from their sister dealership in York Maine and have had the Portsmouth dealership perform all my service. I had the 30K and 60K service performed and it wasn't until I had to take my car into another dealership out of state that I realized what Bournival really "didn't" do to my Jeep.

The rear tire didn't have the lug nuts tightened, the coolant wasn't changed and the gap on the spark plugs was set incorrectly. I was lucky that my rear tire didn't fly off and I had the other issues corrected and documented. To be fair, the transmission fluid was changed but they didn't do the differentials.

Originally, I purchased the 75K warranty and was told while the Jeep was protected that I had a potentially bad fuel injector. They didn't replace it because it supposedly fixed itself. Well, another 10K miles and guess what happened.....

I paid $500 for each service interval and thought I was getting the work that was noted on my invoice, but once again a car dealer screwed a customer.

I sent a letter with all the backup information to Mrs. Bournival but I never heard back. I also forwarded a copy to the State Attorney General's office but I might as well just give up on them as well.

A consumer has very little protection against car dealers and in the case of Bournival, I'll never go their again. Gills is located in Stratham NH and my next Jeep is going to be purchased from them. I know for a fact that Bournival is getting killed on their sales volume for new and used cars and I hope they realize that you can't keep screwing the local Portsmouth residents because one day they'll just stop coming back.

My Review of Bournival Jeep:
I live in this town(Portsmouth, NH) have heard all the horror stories about this dealership and its owner! I figured i would give them a shot and see if I could put a deal together on a new Gr Cherokee LTD, I will never buy a part, service, let alone buy a new vehicle from them. RUDE is the only word I can come up with, the price was fair, but how they go about doing there business, asking for a credit card or cash to back up my offer! Give me a break, I ended up buying at Gills for almost the same price, but no hassels....The biggest reason i did not buy was not the salesman but the manager(Dan Murray) horrible manager!!!

My Review of Bournival Jeep:
This is the worst experince i have ever had. I went to look at jeeps one day, sat down talked with the guys about prices and what i was looking for, picked out the car i wanted and i went back a few days later with the person that was co-signing for me and all the figures were different. I ended up buying a different car. when i came to pick up my new car they didn't wash it for me nor clean the inside out, the center console was filled with loose change and other junk form the pervious owner. Ted the person that sold me the car showed up in jeans and a sweat shirt looking totally unporfessional. since then everytime i have to talk to them i just feel like throwing up they are soo rude to me. the talk to their girl costumers like their a child and don;t matter, they give off nothing but attuitude they have the worst reputaion so i don't know why they say its a five star dealership, theres must be some kinda of mix up with that.
