Their no haggle policy makes for a much more relaxing experience and no question went unanswered. Although I had a very limited scope in which I was looking there were many vehicles to choose from and I was able to find a very low mileage vehicle in my price range. If I had to do it again I would start my search at CarMax. Yes, I would recommend to a friend. In fact, I went there on a recommendation. More
Down to earth, straightforward sales associate. Did everything right and there was no pressure. My guy was Raymond Arbramowitz. Did everything right and there was no pressure. My guy was Raymond Arbramowitz. More
My overall experience with Carmax was good. I loved the sales gentleman that helped me but right after I bought the car the sensor for my windshield wiper came on so you guys put a ticket in to I loved the sales gentleman that helped me but right after I bought the car the sensor for my windshield wiper came on so you guys put a ticket in to get it fixed the first time that I went to the service department. It was a very good experience. The lady that helped me was pleasant. Explained everything that was going on with my car. It was pretty much in and out experience, but I had to come back for you guys to replace the sensor. My appointment was at 8 o’clock on Monday morning. 10 November when I first walked in a gentleman greeted me asked if I had an appointment he checked to see who was supposed to be. I’m guessing the service person that was going to assist me for the day well that person was not at their desk so he had me go ahead and sign in and took my keys and I chose to wait for my vehicle to be done. I was probably there for about 10 minutes and a girl walked in very bubbly seemed more wanting to socialize than actually focus on the job at hand she was there for maybe five minutes and then walked out. My car was done by 8:30. I seen the mechanic walk in with my keys looking for the lady that was supposed to be assisting me, he placed my keys on the desk and then continue to do what he needed to do Has not seen this girl walk back into the service area until around 9 o’clock with Starbucks and a friend behind her. My keys are sitting in front of her on her desk and she continue to just socialize. I have to admit by this time I was pretty mad because my time is precious just like everybody else’s she didn’t seem to be focused on her job it was more about socializing so I finally had to go up to a different service lady and ask hey is my car done because it’s been sitting out there for now 45 minutes she asked who helped me. I explained to her that a gentleman check me in, but he took me over to that woman’s desk that is socializing with her friends right now so she proceeded to go over there and let her know that I was waiting to see if my car was done the girl was like oh yeah, realizing that she should probably be doing her job and not socializing asked me to come over and sign my papers and I asked her. Do you know what was going on with my card? Do you know if it’s done? Do you inspect it anything like that? She’s like oh no the mechanic does she had no idea what car was mine who I was why I was there and I felt that she was getting paid to socialize and not paid to do her job, your service department was actually really good but she left an extremely bad taste in my mouth. If for some reason I have to come back to Carmax for any kind of service. I can guarantee you that is not the woman that I would want handling my service But the other two the gentleman and the short Hispanic lady with glasses I did not catch her name so I apologize for the description. They were there the entire time that I was there helping customers greet them deal with customer issues. They never once left that area unless they absolutely had to and they were back within less than five Minutes so those ones I would absolutely want to help me but the other one, not even close. More
Either this dealership didn't do a thorough inspection on my vehicle after it was shipped from the Reno area to the Centennial location in North Las Vegas, or they hoped that I wouldn't notice that my GPS an my vehicle after it was shipped from the Reno area to the Centennial location in North Las Vegas, or they hoped that I wouldn't notice that my GPS and windshield cleaning system wasn't working properly. When I took it to be looked at, it turned out that rodents had nested in my 2024 RDX and chewed through some of the wiring and tubes for my windshield cleaning system. There appears to be a huge rodent problem in in Northern Nevada, so I thought they would've done their due diligence to inspect upon arrival. My fault for not doing my own inspection and for thinking they would have caught these issues. I had to take it to an Acura dealership because they could not do the work to get my GPS working and my windshield system. . I have the manufacturer's warranty for another few thousand miles, but acts of nature are not covered. Fortunately the dealership was able to reset my GPS and the warning itself wasn't damaged, but there is still some exposed copper warning where the mice chewed through. They told me I could bring it back if the GPS started glitching again, so I'll have to wait and see. As for the tubing for the windshield cleaning system, I'll have to pay $357.00 out of pocket. My insurance deductible is $500, so it's not worth it to claim it. Plus I don't want to give my insurance a reason to raise my rate. I still give this place 3 stars because the process itself was pretty seamless with no pressure. Had I done my own inspection I probably would have walked away if it was a take it or leave it situation. Overall the care is great except for the minor repairs I'll have to pay for, The lesson here is do your own inspection, especially if the vehicle is coming from Northern Nevada. More

I went to the Service Dept. for a warning light that appeared on my’22 Mercedes GLA 250. The woman in the Service Dept. (I’ve encountered her more than once) was rude, but attac for a warning light that appeared on my’22 Mercedes GLA 250. The woman in the Service Dept. (I’ve encountered her more than once) was rude, but attached the handheld computer to my vehicle’s computer system and informed me the vehicle was not “throwing any codes”, but she had no idea what the warning light on my dashboard indicated and referred me to the Mercedes Benz Dealership. I drove the distance between the Centennial Carmax location to the nearest Mercedes Benz Dealership in Las Vegas on Sahara Avenue, 20 miles away. A Service Advisor there informed me the light simply meant the tires required air. I found it despicable a service advisor employed by a diversified dealership, where almost every year, make and model vehicle is sold doesn’t have a better all round education on the machinations of the vehicle(s) sold by Carmax. If she would have simply been privy to the fact the warning light meant the tires needed air, I wouldn’t have wasted my afternoon driving across town. More
I worked with James and he was wonderful. He was answering phones and just going to have us wait. And then decided to hand help us. And he showed us few cars and got a sale.
