My Review of Cityside Subaru:
From the moment that I was greeted, the entire sales experience was upbeat, positive and I felt like I had known everyone all my life. I have bought cars previously from this dealer and other dealers and spent the better part of a day completing the process. This experience was a few hours and very pleasing. We shared stories outside the sales transaction, joked and had a really enjoyable time.

We purchased a 2010 Subaru Forester from Cityside Subaru. Mark and Alan were very helpful with answering all questions and being very clear with all of our options. We also finance through Subaru and are very happy with the rate and ease of process. I would highly recommend Cityside Subaru and am happy with our purchase.

My Review of Cityside Subaru:
Just bought a new 2010 Outback. Mark and Nathan were both great to deal with. We were very picky in terms of the color and options and couldn't find our car in stock anywhere. Nathan agreed to a great price and told us there was a matching model on an inbound shipment and we could expect our car in about 4-6 weeks. The next day I spoke to Nathan and he told me they had located a car for us and were working on a swap, but, not to get my hopes up yet. The day after, Mark called and told us the car was on its way and we could come down to take a look at it. Drove it home the next day, weeks sooner than we had expected!

All the way through the process, when dealing with Mark and Nathan, we were kept well informed and felt like everything was above board and very laid back. I would definately recommend buying from Cityside and working with Mark and Nathan.

My Review of Cityside Subaru:
Mark Lidano was terrific to work with from start to finish. My first visit to Cityside was strictly fact-finding, and I never felt even the tiniest bit of pressure to do anything more than just ask questions, all of which Mark answered in as much detail as I wanted/needed. I mean, he was obviously trying to sell me a car, but he wasn’t trying to SELL ME A CAR!! I could tell from the beginning that he was really listening to me, and that he really wanted to help me find the best car for me and the two Golden Retrievers I chauffeur around.

The first car I looked at was an ex-loaner from the Service Department, perfect in almost every way except for the color. I just hated the thought of two Goldens shedding all over that beautiful black interior. I don’t know exactly what magic act he worked out, but Mark managed to spring another loaner from the Service Dept. in a color and model that were perfect for me, and now my pups are happily messing up the Golden-colored interior of my new Outback.

Lots of other people have mentioned Mark’s All Star Test Drive Route, so I won’t go into any detail on that, other than to say that it includes just about every situation and surface you’re likely to run into. And Mark, I think you’ll be pleased to know that I’ve gotten a lot gutsier about gunning it when I go into those hairpin exits off Route 2.

Bottom line ... I absolutely love my (almost) new Subaru, and I’m looking forward to lots and lots of great years with the car and with Cityside.

Mark Lidano and his team at Cityside Subaru in Belmont, MA, extended every effort to reflect every one of our concerns in setting out our options in regard to both new car features and pricing factors. We especially appreciated the honesty shown in recommending features that are worth the added cost and discouraging options that are not worth the added cost. Cityside researched car availability in the entire New England market to ensure that we had the broadest possible range of cars to select from among those that met our core criteria. If you are seriously considering a Subaru purchase, I would strongly encourage you to give Cityside a chance to win your business.

Mark did an outstanding job of helping us select our new 2010 Outback which we love!
The service was outstanding as this is our second Outback. The new design is outstanding and we are so happy with our new purchase.

I would recommend anyone looking for a Subaru to contact Cityside Subaru and specifically Mark as you will not be disappointed with their selection and service

My Review of Cityside Subaru:
My wife Gladys and I were looking for a BASIC new Forester as already was pretty much decided upon. Still we wanted to know what we might regret not having if we did not inquire further. Glen took us through the various levels of models to our satisfaction and was not at all pushy about add on possibilities before we left the dealership and gave us a reasonable price with our trade in Forester. After a visit to a competitor dealer we were confident that Cityside had more to offer at a fair deal. A call back to Glen (day off) got us to Mark who was very accomodating to a final price for what we wanted. The transfer of funds for car went smoothly under Mark's assistance. No regrets.

Dealing with Mark was a great experience. We evaluated several models, and Mark gave us straightforward advice on the differences and considerations for purchase. Mark was always straightforward, friendly, and prompt in all of our dealings.

Mark followed up with a hand-written note and a phone call to address questions after the car was delivered. He has been the best car dealer I have ever dealt with.

My Review of Cityside Subaru:
Mark Lidano was suggest by a next door neighbor after a conversation at our block party. I contacted Mark right away and he was on the lookout for us for a 2010 black impreza sport automatic and the moment it come in he called my mobile. My wife and I took the car for a test ride that evening and made the deal (with a trade in). Mark took us on a well planned test drive, highway, hills, parking lot(turn ratio test),places to switch drivers, etc.

Mark style is no sales BS or undue pressure. We were satisfied with the trade in process we negotiated and the delivery (that Monday) was smooth.

The reason I rated the the customer service and overall experience good and not great
is that CitySide's promoted interest rate for auto loan is 3.9% and my wife's credit is excellent and mine is very very good. Alan their business manager ran the application late, not on Friday but Monday mid-day and it came in at 4.9% and we were notified of this last minute, with no time to get other options. We were disappointed. We needed the car and I am aware part is of the credit score out of their hands but the delay in running the application did not work in our favor. CitySide should not get people's hopes up, then delay running the application until last minute, could be perceived as a sales move, next time they should not wait 48-72 hours to run the credit app so we all know the reality. We chose to not delay the process regardless.

This loan process is not a reflection on Mark's sales skills but more on the credit/business process at the dealership.

Mark followed up with a hand written note and a friendly call. Also sent a $50 check out to the neighbor who referred us. I highly recommend Mark at CitySide Subaru in Belmont, MA
