My Review of Cityside Subaru:
Mark Lidano was suggest by a next door neighbor after a conversation at our block party. I contacted Mark right away and he was on the lookout for us for a 2010 black impreza sport automatic and the moment it come in he called my mobile. My wife and I took the car for a test ride that evening and made the deal (with a trade in). Mark took us on a well planned test drive, highway, hills, parking lot(turn ratio test),places to switch drivers, etc.
Mark style is no sales BS or undue pressure. We were satisfied with the trade in process we negotiated and the delivery (that Monday) was smooth.
The reason I rated the the customer service and overall experience good and not great
is that CitySide's promoted interest rate for auto loan is 3.9% and my wife's credit is excellent and mine is very very good. Alan their business manager ran the application late, not on Friday but Monday mid-day and it came in at 4.9% and we were notified of this last minute, with no time to get other options. We were disappointed. We needed the car and I am aware part is of the credit score out of their hands but the delay in running the application did not work in our favor. CitySide should not get people's hopes up, then delay running the application until last minute, could be perceived as a sales move, next time they should not wait 48-72 hours to run the credit app so we all know the reality. We chose to not delay the process regardless.
This loan process is not a reflection on Mark's sales skills but more on the credit/business process at the dealership.
Mark followed up with a hand written note and a friendly call. Also sent a $50 check out to the neighbor who referred us. I highly recommend Mark at CitySide Subaru in Belmont, MA
