My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
Maybe the DCH Academy Honda representatives can also address some of the shortcomings and negative feedback provided, instead of simply thanking everyone who posted praises here.

We personally had more negative than positive experience with DCH Academy Honda, both in terms of sales and service. This was what happened to us. We went down to DCH and got decent service during pre-sales when we wanted to buy a car. The salesman did describe the car pretty well, allowed us a test drive, showed us the interior of the vehicle and even had the Carfax report. But we wanted to buy a car with keyless entry and the car that the salesman was selling to us didn't have that. So he promised that to install the feature for us as part of the deal. We made the deal at their dealership price (very close to the highest KBB dealership value quoted for the car). I knew that I didn't get a good price, but I didn't mind paying a premium as I had the impression that DCH Academy Honda had excellent pre and after sales service and support. This turned out to be untrue.

When we went down to get the keyless entry installed, it was very inconvenient for us as they claimed that they couldn't do the installation on weekends. So we had to take time off on a weekday to go down. Moreover, they told us to leave the car with them for the whole day, so we had to get our own transport back to our office. This was still tolerable. Unfortunately, when we went down (after taking time-off), they made us wait for about an hour before they realized that they had "ordered the wrong parts"! We were upset but we tolerated that. Then they said that we could bring in the car on a Saturday (we could not do that previously but all of a sudden, now we could?!!) and they will install the keyless entry then.

On Saturday, yes, you guessed it, they did it again. "Sorry, we ordered the correct parts and the box that came was correct, but the parts in the box were wrong." - that was their explanation. And we were told about this screw-up only after sitting in the waiting lounge for about 4hrs. For all these inconvenience, the sales manager said that they would "compensate" us $150 credits for maintenance services (oil change etc) and get us a rented car for a day while we leave our car with them. Is that compensation a lot? Given a choice, we would rather have a hassle-free installation and spend all those wasted time outside enjoying the summer. And we were pretty sure that we paid more than $150 extra for the car from them, expecting decent service. So that pretty much sums up our experience with DCH Academy Honda.

My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
I bought 2008 Honda Accord Ex-L Navigation(Automatic)from this dealer. The whole process is very friendly.First I will start with Internet sales Manager Mrs.Loren.She called me over phone and gave me a quote. She is the best sales person that I ever dealt with sofar.very pleasent and co-operative.I took an appointment and walk in to the door then she came to me and hook me up to the Sales Rep.His name is Hussain Nawaz and he is very friendly, care and very knowledgeable about all kinds of cars.He explained me in and out about the car and the whole deal is very very easy.I am very pleased with this dealer.

Finally I need to mention about the Manager Mr.Suneel.He got the best team and with out him it could'nt have possible to get this deal.

Over all I am very satisfied about my car and the dealer.I will highly recemend anybody to consider this dealer if you really need to buy a car without any hassles and you get the best deal through out NJ.

My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
We just picked up our Brand new Civic Lx from this dealer, we were very skeptical, after reading some reviews, here about them, and visited them because they gave us the lowest price including all fees, they quoted us $15995, and when we asked them about the other charges, they gave us a complete break down in writing via email, another dealer matched their price but his fees were higher, so we went to Academy Honda and met the manager Sunil, who had given us the price on the phone and e mailed it to us, he handed us over to Dan Fisher hwo handled the rest of the transaction, btw, they also included 3yrs/36k miles oil changes in the price. After all was done and we went to thank the manager Sunil, we asked him how was it that there were some bad comments about him here, he explained to us that he likes to make the buying experience easy and hassle free, and when he quotes a price, it is the bottom line, and when people come to the dealership and try to bargain for more and he explains that he did give the best price on the phone and cannot do any better, some customers take that for arrogance, well in todays day and age the price is the easiest part, so we are very happy with our experience at Academy Honda in Oldbridge, and my husband and I are glad we chose them.

My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
I purchased a 1998 Honda Civic Dx 3 door hatchback from this person at DCH Honda. I was told the vehicle went through an extensive checklist to make sure it was perfect. The car was less than perfect. David Brown never even checked on the vehicle himself. He is too consumed with sitting in his office, eating lunch and making the buyer sit and wait for him to get done eating. After $2000 worth of work, vehicle is now perfect. Do not deal with Dave Brown or DCH. Go elsewhere. Buyer beware. They are just interested in the sale, not in customer retention.

My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
This was my second purchase of a new car at this dealership. I spoke with the internet manager Charlie on the phone and he gave me the dealerships best internet price for an 07 Odyessy EXL. I had been researching prices for 3 weeks. There price was within $150 of the lowest I got but I've dealt with them before. I told Charlie I would be there the next morning but he was off that day so he told me to see the sales manager Sunil and tell him the price that he gave me. Sunil varified the price that I had gotten from Charlie and we agreed on the selling price including destination along with all the fees that were quoted to me on the phone. Sunil printed out all the numbers, gave me a copy and gave me over to a saleman named Eric. Eric showed me the car and we took a 10 mile test drive on local and highway roads. Eric explained all the cars features. He wrote the sales agreement up according to the paper the sales manager had given me and I left a deposit. We picked the car up a week later. It was all prepared in and out. We saw the finance guy who gave us the sales pitch for available options such as LOJACK and warrenty ect., no pressure what so ever. We declined all of them. Eric went over the entire car again feature for feature and all the manuals. They gave us a set of wheel locks no charge installed which we didn't ask for. My last experience here was good and this one was even better. I can't speak for their service department as I have no experience with them but in the 2 buys I have made in the last 2 years I have no complaints at all. I always went to the dealership on a weekday morning so as to avoid crowds.

My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
I found the overall process of buying my new Accord at Academy to be very pleasant and professional. After deciding on the model I wanted, I was able to negotiate a fair price for the car without a lot of hassle. The overall closing process, including dealing with the finance person was quick and smooth. Of course, they are obliged to go over additional options with you but saying no is easy with no push back.

My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
I have bought many cars during my lifetime, but this was the most pleasant experience in buying a car that I have ever had. This was due to the fair price given to me as a quote on the 2007 Honda by Mark and the very fair interest rate of 6.19% given to me (due to my good credit score). Also there was no pressure applied by the saleman, and Erich was very pleasant and explained the answers to all my questions and showed me all about the car. He is an asset to the dealership. I would return here for my car checkups, feeling that I am among business people who play fair. No pressure was applied to me during this sale. Thank you all for this experience. I wholeheartedly give my recommendation to this dealership.

My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
I was under the process of buying a HONDA ACCORD EXL V6 CARBON BRONZE COLOR WITH IVOIRY INTERIOR.
I got two /three quote from different dealership. I got hundred dollars cheaper from DCH ACEDAMY HONDA, so rush there, but everything is
alright with the price, but FINANCE people run my credit and comeup with 9.29% APR and with documentation fee since BANK is charging finance fees of $495.00 that is not fair. So I walk out from the DEALERSHIP and I visit to Route 1, Edison dealership and I already have a quote from Mr Bharat, who has given me very fair price with FREE BLUE TOOTH SYSTEM(WORTH $175.00) SO ULTIMATELY I got better deal than DCH and Open Road honda, taken care with better interest rate of 7.49% without any finance charges or documentation.

Those who are looking for a car and buying in NJ , please make sure, that dealership never play with us and go to genuine PERSON LIKE MR BHARAT, and he handled all the things nicely and I got the choice color of car.

The people at Open Road Honda were very professional, not like most people think about car salesmen. It took them two DAYS to get the car I wanted, but during the two days they kept me informed about the progress and any problems they encountered.
It was a great contrast to others, where I'd first tried to buy my car.

I have nothing but good things to say about salesperson BHARAT,(internet sales) and MR JAVA-SALES MANAGER.

I eventually paid $350 less than what I would have paid to DCH ACEDAMY Honda.
Please keep it up and thanks to RYAN AUTO GROUP of NEW JERSEY. I had decided to buy a vehicle only from OPEN ROAD GROUP.

My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
Sir,

I congratulate DCH Academy Honda for the Price and Customer Service.
DCH Academy Honda is No 1.I agree with you.

Open Road Honda, Edison staff have no moral and have been rough with all the customers.Staff has to learn how to behave with customers.
The Staff at Open Road Honda make the customers think that they are begging for car and not purchasing the car.

Thanks,
Sam

My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
I only found out about this site resently so this a purchase I made a year ago but It's a sales experience that someone might want to read. I had never dealt with this dealership before and I asked for an internet quote via Edmund's site from 4 dealers. David Farber from DCH emailed me with a nice price and had the car I wanted. I set up an appointment and met with him. He had the car brought over from their lot for a test drive, no surprises, no change in price as everything was spelled out in the email, price, fees, dmv, taxes ect. . I left a 100 deposit to close the deal and picked the car up the next sat. . The car was ready and maxed out. Naturally the after sale guy tried to sell me extended warrent ect. but no pressure. All and all one of the best buying experiences I ever had. I would definitly look them up again next time.

I would recommend anyone buying a Honda check with Academy Honda first. I would certainly buy another from them if I needed to.

My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
I entered this dealership with all the hate and distaste for dealers that i could possibly have. I had been shopping for a Honda Fit for about two weeks and had been getting a run around by dealers from New Jersey to Staten Island to Long Island. All telling me how popular the car was and that its selling for much more then MSRP. I was not happy nor was i nice. I was going to buy a car that day. and i wasnt going to be messed with. I just wanted the dealer to be fair.

William was wonderful. He took great care of us. no run a round - MSRP and that's that.

everything went very smooth. UNTIL::: it was time to pay for it. I had financing through capital one. and of course Mr. credit manager came over and he didnt like the check. i was going just walk out at that point. (i already put the insurance on my new car!). i hated this guy! but i calmed down (after giving him a piece of my mind and telling him i didnt trust him)...

he came back to me about 1/2 hour later and got me Honda financing with an 8.25 interest rate. to tell you the truth, i still dont believe it! I am still waiting something to go wrong. its like two good to be true.

its been three weeks since i bought my fit. i love it. and i thank the guys at Academy for putting up with my distrust.

buying this car has been an exausting insulting nightmare. now all the other dealers are calling me to offer me their HOT HOT car for MSRP! guess they didnt sell as many as they thought at 2000 dollars over msrp. greedy greedy dealers.

My Review of DCH Academy Honda:
Joe gave the best quote, online, for my 2005 Accord with Nav. He kept all his promises and even got me a special discount APR for being a new graduate.
The finance staff here is the best, extending my payment 6 mos. so that I could get the Hazard coverage.
Great team at DCH. Sale was complete in 10 days and the car rides like a dream - and I never get lost.
