My Review of DCH Montclair Acura:
I have leased 6 vehicles from DCH Acura and 7 Acuras total, including my most recent lease of a 2013 RDX AWD. I also have a 2011 TL w/tech package. The only time I leasd a vehicle from a different Acura dealership was because DCH didn't have any. The whole experience with the other delership left a bad taste in my mouth. This is my second lease transaction with Mark Gershman. My experince with Mark has been great both times. I hate the whole process of leasing a new car, but Mark and DCH made the process as painless as possible. Mark worked with me for a few weeks by e-mail on various pricing scenarios and finally made an offer I thought was very good, particularly on a newly redesigned vehicle like the 2013 RDX. After I actually test drove the vehicle I was convinced. Acura, DCH and Mark will always have my business.

Jose made our visit to Acura a painless one. He is a great person and I would recommend him to anyone. This is the second vehicle ive purchased from him and i am looking forward to purchasing an NSX from him in 2014.

My Review of DCH Montclair Acura:
Had a great experience leasing my Acura with Paul Eng, Colleen Amir, and the sales manager. However, that's where the relationship ends. I called in a few weeks ago because my battery had died 4 times on my car and they offered me a loaner. My son took the car in and had midterm exams for college so he needed the loaner since we work during the weekdays and repairs are not done on weekends. They said they could not loan him a car because of his age. A few weeks went by, and the car battery stopped dying by itself. I thought the battery had charged itself, but it died again recently. I called in to schedule a repair appointment and needed a loaner to get to work but they said they couldn't loan me a car. They told me that service loaners are only available for 3+ hours of work - last time I called Acura corporate was involved so I'm assuming they put pressure on the dealership to make things right. All in all disappointed in the lack of consistency with this dealership and the changing managers - our old salesman does not work here anymore sadly. This is why Acura and Lexus lose all their business to Audi, BMW, and Mercedes. All my friends get service loaners no questions asked when any work is done on their cars. Why pay for luxury service when it is not given? Overall, disappointed with this dealership and now do business with Ramsey Acura until my lease ends.

We are sorry and regret the inconvenience you were caused, however, we are bound by certain constraints for loaners. Regrettably, to meet manufacturer requirements, we are unable to loan vehicles to anyone under the age of 25 years. Due to the limited number of available loaners, we needed to change our loaner policy to accommodate customers with service repairs in excess of three hours to allow for more availability when more critical issues arise. To accommodate other customers, we offer complimentary shuttle service and local drop-off and pick-up to help ease the inconvenience during those shorter wait times. I agree that changes in dealership personnel can sometimes result in policy inconsistencies, however be assured these situations are corrected immediately as we learn of them. The DCH Montclair Acura team commits wholeheartedly to providing customers with hassle-free service.

My Review of DCH Montclair Acura:
This dealership is unethical, immoral, and unprofessional.
They pulled a bait and switch on us!
They took a deposit over the phone after agreeing to a price, we spent over 5 hours there after we uncovered some additional fees having to do with taxes which we agreed to and then after we sat down to sign contracts their system couldn’t process our contracts. So they said that they would work on correcting the issue and for us to come back the next day. They did not proactively call us to tell us what was going on until two days after at which point the sales person told us to come in to sign contracts under the agreed to terms. Then he called a few hours later and told us that they would not honor our agreed to price and raised it.
I wish someone would have told me that I was dealing with people that don’t care about their customers and lie to them right through their teeth.

In cases where we sell to customers in states a far distance from our dealership, it is necessary to ensure that all of the registration and tax documentation is complete prior to delivery of the car. Regrettably your case took much longer than anticipated with the financial contract. Extra care and time was necessary to ensure you returned home with a flawless transaction and complete registration documents, unfortunately we must have miscommunicated what needed to be done on our end to complete this transaction. I regret if any portion of your transaction was unclear, but my staff was advised to work diligently at ensuring your registration and tax documents were completed accurately, and without error. I understand your feeling of cynicism and hope for the opportunity to clear things with you. I am thankful that you were referred to us by one of our valued customers. We had a tight deadline to complete the transaction and file the necessary out-of-state documents prior to the manufacturer month end incentive expiration. Regrettably we were not able to complete the transaction before the manufacturer’s incentive program expired.

My Review of DCH Montclair Acura:
This is my second purchase from DCH Montclair Acura and the experience was extremely positive both times. Having done extensive research prior to going to the dealership, I already knew I wanted the 2012 Acura MDX, but needed to see it in person and to test drive it. When I walked into the dealership, Mark Gershman approached and was very friendly providing the space and time I needed to review the car. When we started talking further, Mark's personality and connection was great. His jokes made me comfortable instantly establishing a good rapport. It didn't feel like a typical sales approach eager to get the sale that day. Mark did not push for commitment on a purchase. Instead he took my information and we coordinated in a few days via email and phone. Once I was ready to make the purchase, I returned to the dealership to discuss the details. While Mark provided a great deal on the MDX via email, I was enlightened to learn that I also qualified for the Costco (lower) price plus the Conquest discount. Add to it a very fair trade in value on my Mini Cooper....I couldn't be happier! So I threw in a few more accessories. :-)
Ric Coyle (Finance) was very pleasant and had his information in order by the time I spoke with him to sign the forms.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with my new car. Mark - THANK YOU for such an easy car buying experience!

Mark was a wonderful sales person to work with during the negotiations, he gave me the best price, was very patient, sincere and very honest when dealing with him. When we picked up the vehicle, Mark explained all the features in detail and ensured we were very satisfied. In addition, the paperwork was completed very efficiently and we did not have a long wait time. I have been dealing with DCH for many years and have purchased three cars from them, and all experiences have been wonderful.
Finally, I have to also give praise to the service department. Chris who manages the department does a tremendous job to ensure all customers are satisfied while their vehicles are being repaired or serviced. They have ensured my vehicles are always maintained the right way!

I have owned 3 MDX and the only reason is because of Tom Cardace and the service department. Tom is the best service consultant you could ask for. He does everything he says he will do. He keeps me informed of any potential problems and fixes the issues that are in current need of repair. My 2001 MDX has over 250,000 miles on it, still on the road and I owe it to the service it has received from them. I know that when I leave, my truck is in great shape. As a women, no bigger fear could be is to break down on the road with a child and I fell extremely confident that will not happen. It hasn't happened to me since 2001 and that is saying something....
Tom is the best!

Consistent vehicle care is important to maintaining a vehicles performance and overall safety. With how busy our lives can be, it is almost impossible to keep a vehicle running in tip-top-shape.
