My Review of DCH Montclair Acura:
We wanted to buy a new 2009 Acura MDX, and sent out requests for quotes to most of the dealerships in the tri-state area. Of those who responded, Montclair Acura gave us one of the best prices. Looking at their ratings, we decided to go with them, even though they weren't the closest to us.
A problem was that no dealership was able to locate the exterior/interior color combination we wanted, not a single car in the whole North-East: the closest one seemed to be in Ohio. After a week or so, we located one with the color we wanted in Acura of Ocean / Acura of Manhattan (they seemed to have the same inventory). Given their poor ratings, we asked Paul Dujets, at Montclair, if he would be able to get it for us, and still keep the same low price he gave us earlier. He said he would, and a few days later he had the car.
We were a little bit disappointed that they didn't locate the car for us, but we had to find it on our own. Probably, the car wasn't yet at the other dealers when we first contacted Montclair, but we would have expected them to keep their eyes open for us. We also were disappointed with the very low trade-in quote they gave us. They didn't see the car, but the maximum price we could expect from them was way below what edmunds.com said other people are getting in the area. We decided to buy the MDX without the trade-in and sell our old car on our own. (We hope we made the right decision).
We had to call the dealership in a couple of occasions, since they didn't seem to be getting our emails (the people in the internet deparment!?), but overall we had a very pleasant experience (and a very good price for the car).
We would highly recommend them.
