Follow up on items from truck purchase. Jake was excellent to work with and when he had issues he could not approve or have an answer for, he got Chris involved. helping me out a loooong way from home Recently traveled across the US from Toronto, and had truck troubles on a 2016 F 150 almost immediately after I left home. Made it as far as Syverson Recently traveled across the US from Toronto, and had truck troubles on a 2016 F 150 almost immediately after I left home. Made it as far as Syverson Ford and called for some help, and was brought right in. Unfortunately at the time it was in the shop, the issue with the stalling and rough idling wasn't happening, BUT it hasn't happened in the 5 weeks since then either. The crew checked over what they could, and were quite honest about what they found and did not recommend me for any repairs at that time. Being where I was from and the situation they could have easily gone a less than ethical route and recommended a pile of parts and labor, but I am thankful they were professional and did the right thing. Car repair shops have been accused in the past of shady practices, nothing like that going on here. Sales staff even provided balloons and toys for the 2 year old with me to keep him entertained while we waited! More

Fixed vehicle fast on a cold New Year's Eve Saturday morning While travelling over the holidays, my family stayed the night at Albert Lea while passing through Minnesota. Late on Dec. 30th just as we reached Albert Lea, a grinding noise began in the driver-side front wheel. The next morning (New Year's Eve), I called several service shops and Dave Syverson's was able to fit us in, even though they had a full shop of work. It was obvious they want to help us out so we wouldn't be stuck over the holidays, and went out of their way to make it happen. The service shop was able to fix the issue and get us on the road again with only a two hour delay. More
A big thanks for Nothing I would like to take this time to warn people about the service that my father did NOT receive at Dave Syverson Ford in Albert Lea, Minnesota. In 1987 I would like to take this time to warn people about the service that my father did NOT receive at Dave Syverson Ford in Albert Lea, Minnesota. In 1987, my father was in a motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed. He has had to have specialized vehicles in order for him to have transportation. He has always chosen Ford vehicles. He now has a full size E250 van. Exactly 3 years and 28 days ago his transmission went out. It cost him $3,600.00 to have a brand new transmission put in. It had a 3 year or 100,000 mile warranty on it. It went out again, like I said, 3 years and 28 days later. That transmission only had 44,000 miles on it when it went out for the second time and would cost him another $3,800 to fix. My father is not asking for the warranty to be honored as it was 28 days expired, but he was trying to get Dave Syverson Ford and FORD Motor Company to work with him. Maybe cut part of the labor bill or give him a transmission at cost. He is a retired veteran and is living on a fixed income because of his accident. My father talked to many people in his search for help, Tim Mann, the General Manager of the Albert Lea store, who said his hands were tied and that my dad would have to talk to FORD. So he called April who was a corporate customer service worker and April’s manager, both of whom told him “Sorry, but there is nothing we can do.” I find this hard to believe Just be aware that if there are problems with your vehicle, you may not get the help that you deserve at Dave Syverson Ford in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
