Are you considering getting a car from Dayton Toyota; DO NOT. They are liars and they do not listen to the customer. We went there to lease a 2026 Corolla. We had settled on a Corolla Hybrid LE with th NOT. They are liars and they do not listen to the customer. We went there to lease a 2026 Corolla. We had settled on a Corolla Hybrid LE with the LE Premium Package. And we had a trade-in worth $600. The deal was to be $xxx minus $600 Trade-in on delivery and $yyy / month. As we just changed jobs, they insisted on a copy of the 1st paycheck which we did not have yet. So, we did not take the car home. (The lessee has been working more than 10 years, this is not a youngster). After 2 weeks, we had our first pay check to show the dealer but the car was gone. During the 2 weeks, we decided that we did not need a leased Hybrid car but did want the features of the LE Package. But all they had today was a Corolla Hybrid LE AWD without the package. We explained that while the Hybrid and AWD were excellent features, they are unnecessary features for us. But the LE Package features were important to us. And the only way we would take this car was if the deal was excellent - it is not the car we really want. They came back at $xxx plus the trade-in and $yyy / month; an increase instead of an excellent deal. When they asked what we wanted to make this happen today, we suggested a decrease in the monthly rate by $30. The salesman came back with a positive response. He took the appropriate paperwork from us to get the deal going. We were about to leave to bring back the trade-in but the salesman said to wait a moment to make sure he had everything he needed. Suddenly the salesman came back saying this has never happened before. The deal they put together was priced on a standard Corolla LE. His manager appeared, also saying sorry but it was priced for a different car. Both their faces appeared as if they were hiding a smile - trying to be good actors. How can they give us a price on the wrong car - how can they be in that line of work - not know pricing? In the end, we walked out. So much time wasted. They were playing games. And when we later told this story to other dealers, and someone who specializes in leasing, we were told the lease should have gone through on the first try. This was someone who had a career and was simply changing jobs with no break in between. Dayton Toyota has liars on staff. And they do not care about the customer's time. Stay away from Omar and Abdullah. They are not truthful. More
