Julia, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry your experience was frustrating. To clarify, the documentation requested during the lease process was required by the lender due to a recent employment change. Lenders establish the income verification requirements, and we are obligated to follow those guidelines before completing a transaction. Additionally, during your return visit, our salesperson mistakenly quoted a stock number for a Corolla LE rather than the Corolla Hybrid LE being discussed. Once the error was discovered, it was immediately brought to your attention. This was an honest mistake, and we apologize for the confusion and inconvenience it caused. Ralph, Thank you for your response. It shows you do care about your dealership. My comment about the lease process and documentation is based on verbal comments received from several other dealers and leasing people (not working for dealerships) when I told them what had occurred on our first experience with your dealership. I will take your response as your preferred lender follows different guidelines. Regarding my return visit, I was there for approximately 3 1/2 hours before the failure in the process. Honest mistake and confusion on the part of your staff should not cause that much loss of time to a customer. That's an honest mistake that should never happen, but it happened to us. That much time loss caused us to miss another weekend of car shopping. You also do not make reference to the muted smile (my interpretation of what I saw) that both the salesperson and his manager had when they apologized for the error. So to summarize, - your dealership is disrespectful of the customer's time - this was a very dishonest episode caused by your staff's error Sincerely, Julia

Julia, Thank you for your follow-up. I understand your frustration, particularly regarding the amount of time you spent at our dealership. Regardless of the circumstances, a customer should not invest 3½ hours in the process only to leave without completing a transaction, and I apologize for that experience. While we may view the pricing error differently, I can assure you it was not intentional. The vehicle was mistakenly quoted using the wrong stock number, and once the error was discovered, it was immediately disclosed. That does not change the inconvenience it caused, and for that I apologize. As for your interpretation of the reactions of our staff, I can only speak to their intentions. I do not believe either employee was attempting to mislead or disrespect you. However, I understand how the situation may have appeared from your perspective given the frustration of the moment.
