We were able to honestly deal with our salesman Mitch Elliott as well as his supervisor Josh, and we came to terms for a beautiful new 2013 Town and Country Van which we love. Once our deal was made, the dealership was very organized in preparing our paperwork to get us out the door efficiently, but not before giving us extensive education on the van's features. They did everything possible to make our experience enjoyable and troublefree- we would not hesitate to recommend Douglas Jeep! More
I have visited this dealership couple of times. First, my family was thinking to buy a used car, but the price they give us of the car was OVERPRICED. Then, I have thought of our options and thought that it family was thinking to buy a used car, but the price they give us of the car was OVERPRICED. Then, I have thought of our options and thought that it will be better buy a new car. So, first I looked online and the price of the vehicle was little bit over $20,000. However, when I got there was all of sudden $24,000. When I asked what is this they were running like "Oh what she caught us." Furthermore, when I asked for all the discounts the price was still $22,000. How can that be possible? They would not work with us whatsoever. Then they were trying to tell me that I should buy a different car that suited my needs. However, I know what my needs are, what I need for my family. Defiantly not going to buy a car there and not recommend to buy anyone a car there. More
I accompanied my girlfriend when she went to purchase a used jeep with these clowns. first, they delay us by about an hour. The salesman is taking calls and making calls. Maybe he thought it was a slam-dunk and he didnt have to put forth an effort, i dont know. but he didnt seem to care at all. After the inital meeting, my girlfriend came back to the dealership without me present, which is where all the nonsense began. After making her wait for another 90 minutes, paperwork was put in front of her and she was ruched to sign it, with comments like "i have other customers waiting, you need to hurry up"...she was simply reading what she was signing, like any reasonable, intelligent customer would do. After the papers were signed, Ken the "finance manager" (i use the term very loosely, sicne he didnt know what the heck he was talking about) proceeds to hit on my girlfriend and ask her on a date. Then, after she rejects him, sends her home with a new car WITHOUT any necessary paperwork whatsoever except the registration. When I find out and ask her to call the dealership and get the papers needed, josh (the "salesman") tells her that "you must have put in the glovebox. people usually do that"... The experience was horrible, they didnt make one iota of an effort to provide any customer service. The car is OK. no problems yet, but I guess including things like floor mats were just too much to ask for. Calls go unanswered, they rush you and pay more attention to the phones than to the customers in front of them. they wait for boyfriends to leave and then try to pick up the women when they are alone and generally have a negative aura about them. Steer clear. This place has the aesthetics of a reputable car dealer, but it takes very little time to realize that these guys epitomize the stereotypical "used car salesman" and have no clue what customer service or post-closing is More

Came into dealership hopeful and left with a pounding headache! Randy kept professing over 20 yrs. experience selling cars... well, don't know how he managed that. Then insulted my trade calling it a "beater" and was not worth anything without even SEEING it. I LOVED that car... it was an older but well-maintained convertible in storage, so did not have it at dealership until we found the car I wanted. He talked to me like I was a "dumb blond" and even wrote down a "to do" list telling me what I "needed" to do to buy a new car from them. Randy kept playing typical "track store" games... "if I could get you that care for $XYZ, would you buy it now?" Did not even LOOK at my other trade that I had parked out front (drive it, look inside, under hood, body, etc.), so could not get an appraisal for it. Was trying to talk me into ordering a car since they had poor inventory rather than conduct a dealer search. However, Randy also said NO ONE in the area had the model I was searching for (a LIE... found 21 at another dealership!). They had a car on the lot without the equipment listed on the manufacturer's sticker which caused a lot of confusion. Well... this "dumb blond" is buying a car elsewhere and guess what... without the mandatory "to do" list! Very degrading experience more typical of 1980's used car lots. More

During our most recent visit to our residence in Venice Florida an auto mishap prompted us to search for a pre-owned car. Douglas Jeep&Chrysler had vehicles that really stood out. With a lot of patience on their part showing me cars in the heavy rain from tropical storm Debbie we agreed on a trade and purchase price. Craig Nereim our sales consultant gave us a high comfort level thru the process and to do list agreed upon at the time of sale. His follow thru after the purchase was great. Later upon concern about the transmission shifting funny the service group checked the vehicle and offered advice on its use in addition to an unrelated problem discovered and resolved that visit. Two parts that were ordered from the parts department came in promptly. I will have future scheduled maintenance when in town and consider another purchase when the need arises at Douglas.
