Driveway - Online Convenience Delivered

Initially my husband and I were very skeptical about the online purchase of a vehicle so we decided to do some research before making a decision. After confirming that Driveway was indeed a legitimate compa online purchase of a vehicle so we decided to do some research before making a decision. After confirming that Driveway was indeed a legitimate company we proceeded with the purchase! I cannot express how happy we are with our purchase. The staff were all extremely helpful and attentive as we often expressed our concern regarding the online purchase of a vehicle. During the coordination of our delivery we were assigned the most amazing representative (Kenneth “Ken” Myers) who removed all of our concerns regarding the overall transaction. He literally removed all of our concerns with his ability to communicate updates as often as we needed them. Ken… you made our purchase the amazing experience ever! Thank you More

The buying process needs some work . .. Had to try buying 3 vehicles before finding one that was finally actually available. They have tons of vehicles listed as available, but you have .. Had to try buying 3 vehicles before finding one that was finally actually available. They have tons of vehicles listed as available, but you have to put a credit application in, verify all of your I fo and identity, then put a deposit down - all for them to "verify" a vehicle is actually available at the dealer for sale... and after you jump through all the hoops you might still find out "oops that vehicle isnt available it was sold already". My next complaint is their delivery process leaves A LOT to be desired - during the buying process they simply that after you buy the shipping department will contact you to "arrange " a delivery time and day... what they actually mean is they will find a delivery driver, who will pick it up in 2-5 days, and at that point they will tell you your car is scheduled for delivery by X day and the driver will call you when they are almost there to deliver... You as the customer have exactly ZERO choice on what time or even what day It will be delivered. In my case I was told it would be delivered tuesday - and on monday while I was at work i got a call from the driver saying he was 15 mins away! The driver was courteous and worked with me at that time with a little flexibility as I was at work 40mins away from the delivery location (which you have to be present to sign for). Vehicle was overall as described - Although not too happy with my purchase - bought a 2018 truck for $26k after tax and shipping ... can tell it has recently had a brake job with cheap parts store parts, brakes are squeaky since being dropped off, engine has a slight rattle , has some sort of sticky overspray/mist/tar or something on the windshield causing the wipers to chatter(that did not wash off at the carwash) AND needs an alignment (steering wheel isnt centered, and pulls to one side) ... not sure if I even want to keep this vehicle since I expected a little more spending $26k. Whole process is a little bit of a circus even though everyone I dealt with was courteous . The downside is if I return the vehicle within their 7 day return period I'm out $1200 for the shipping. So leaves me stuck with a newly dealer purchased vehicle that needs repairs still - or I get to lose money returning it. Feels kinda like a lose/lose situation. If I would have known all of this ahead of time I probably would not have bought it at all and just bought a local dealer vehicle I could inspect and drive ahead of time... More
