The service rep Brianna is great to work with, friendly and shows she enjoys her job. Since then, I’ve been commuting nearly an hour each way to this location for all my services, keeping everything “in-house.” For my third service appointment (oil change, tire rotation, and new filters — totaling over \$200), I arrived at 8 AM as scheduled. I was informed their system was down due to no internet, but I was told it should be back within an hour. **Side note:** While I waited in the lobby, I overheard an employee telling another customer that they had regained access to the system within that hour, confirming the information I had received. The estimated wait time for my oil change was up to 3 hours. I chose to be patient and understanding, especially after driving nearly an hour to get there. Once the service was complete, I was directed to a young female cashier to pay. I handed her my card, and without even attempting to run it, she immediately asked if she could photocopy it because the payment machine was down. At no point did she try to process the payment first. I was visibly uncomfortable, and only then did she offer an alternative: “Unless you have cash, I can take that.” I asked if there was another way to pay, such as Zelle, and she said no. When I asked if she had been doing this with all other customers, she said yes. She repeated several times that they had a shredder and would shred the card copy as soon as the payment was processed. She then suggested writing the card information on a piece of paper instead if that made me more comfortable, but again said it would be shredded. Pretty ridiculous, right? I came in for an oil change — not to have my personal information and money put at risk. I reluctantly told her to proceed with whatever process she had been using, since I did not have cash on me. She ended up photocopying the card because, in her words, “That’s what I’ve been doing with everyone.” I got into my vehicle and immediately froze my card. Within about five minutes, I received two payment attempt notifications from my bank — after I had already left. Keep in mind, she never attempted to process the payment while I was standing at the counter. Now she had a copy of my card and was attempting to charge it. For those unaware, some printers retain records of scanned documents, meaning a photocopy of my card could potentially still be accessible. Writing it down on paper isn’t much safer either. After receiving the declined charge notifications, I unfroze my card. A few minutes later, I received a call saying the payment wasn’t going through. I explained that I had frozen the card due to security concerns and had just reactivated it after seeing the charge attempts. Shortly after, the full charge appeared as pending. Given the circumstances, I was forced to close my account, request a new card, and now have to wait 5–7 business days to receive it. Dealership services are already overpriced, but I didn’t expect to leave feeling financially vulnerable. I was forced to close my account due to security risks and order a new card, which I now have to wait 5–7 business days to receive in the mail. Services at dealerships are already overpriced, but I didn’t come to have more money taken out of my pocket. **Another side note:** The individual I referred — who made a \$55K purchase — also experienced a two-hour wait for a scheduled oil change, further reflecting this dealership’s ongoing service inefficiencies. I no longer trust this dealership and won’t be recommending them anymore. Service is overpriced, inconvenient, and payment security is clearly not a priority here. More
