They keep telling me they ordered parts but they still haven't come in. Their excuse is they have no way to check the order because its all done through computers. Now days even the standard mail can be tracked but one of the biggest GM dealerships in Michigan can not track their part order. What a joke.. More

I was expected to wait an hour for them to arrive to change my oil. Not to mention the several other times I've been here for oil changes, it on average took over an hour by itself. This department needs work and friendlier people! More

If you are looking for a New Buick, GMC, or Chevrolet look no further than Ed Rinke in Center Line! My family and I have purchased numerous vehicles from Ed Rinke through the years, and just recently I look no further than Ed Rinke in Center Line! My family and I have purchased numerous vehicles from Ed Rinke through the years, and just recently I purchased a new 2012 GMC Terrain. I am always happy with the amount of courtesy and professionalism I receive from the sales staff. They treat you like a person not a sale. In the past I have always shopped around for the best deals and payments, but every time I did I always ended up coming back to Rinke. They have the best deals PERIOD! Not to mention quite the selection! I want to give a special thank you to Dennis Thacker (New Car Sales Manager) and Izabela Ziemer (New Car Sales) of the Rinke Buick / GMC store in Center Line for making my purchase fast, painless and no "hidden surprises" Do yourself a favor and check them out if you are in the market, you will NOT be disappointed! Things started out well enough. I was being attended to by Jeff Sredzinski after I called in for a quote on several vehicles. After a little going back and forth there were three vehicles that would be so by Jeff Sredzinski after I called in for a quote on several vehicles. After a little going back and forth there were three vehicles that would be sold to our company. We were happy with Jeff and his service, he was very attentive and always in touch. Then he left the following week for vacation. That's when things took a turn for te worse. I was then dealing with Dennis who seemed helpful. He put our file into the hands of the office manager Jean. As a company, we had a few documents that our accounting department needed completing in order to process approval for the amount we were about to spend on 3 vehicles. Even if Jean had never seen these docs before, she was extremely incredulous and non compliant. She spoke very unprofessionally to me, i.e.."We've never seen these documents before and we are not going to fill them out. You dont need this information. No one else has ever asked for this. We will never agree to filling out this information. Why do you need it? We dont have to tell you who we bank with......" and on and on...she spoke defiantly. It would have been different if she had said, "Gee, this is odd to me, I have never seen this before. Isn't there some way we could get out of providing this information. I guess I do not understand why you need to have it. We want to work with you to make this deal happen, but I need these questions answered first." I was put off by her defiant attitude, it was almost like she was the CEO and was admonishing our company for our usual practices! Dennis was no better, he seemed to put it all in her hands and did not intervene to soften her attitude! Here we are, a large company, and I as the representative was being practically scolded by some silly office manager for trying to process he purchase of 3 vehicles!!!! Needless to say, we revisited our stance on the paperwork that we needed and the deal was done, but not before the buyers order was done wrong two times by Dennis and it was constant monitoring of the whole process from our end! One would think that getting three 2012 vehicles off of the lot would be enough to get some real friendly customer service. I praise Jeff for the initial contact and great quotes and the legwork he did to put things in order. But his leaving threw the entire process into a customer service cluster you know what! I for one, will never do business with Rinke and would not reccommend this dealership to anyone. Too bad for Jeff. He is such a great guy and certainly more customer service oriented than his associates. More
I was greeted when I entered the lot with a smile and a handshake. I was asked what type of car was I interested in and at that time I explained that I wanted to see an 2010 Impala. He asked about what col handshake. I was asked what type of car was I interested in and at that time I explained that I wanted to see an 2010 Impala. He asked about what colors and features. I explained what accessories I wanted and we found an Impala on the lot that worked for me. I took a test drive, it's a Impala after all and it had a smooth transmission. He explained gas mileage, features and after driving it for a while I came back and he gave me his business card. I came back three days later and negotiated a reasonable price with all the accessories I wanted. The salesperson was friendly, non-aggressive and very helpful. I had an excellent experience and would recommend this dealership to anyone. More
My Cash for Clunkers experience with this dealership has been a disaster. I was not given my new car in exchange for my old one, in violation of the Clunkers law, and have been waiting for almost a month. been a disaster. I was not given my new car in exchange for my old one, in violation of the Clunkers law, and have been waiting for almost a month. I call them frequently and am told they are not releasing cars until they get paid by the government. Meanwhile, I already got a survey from Pontiac Customer Relations asking if I'm enjoying my new Vibe (which I still don't have). I also contacted the NHTSA from cars.gov (the official government site)as well as my local TV channel's "problem-solvers." I don't blame the salesman because he's just an employee but he's given us these useless "you'll hear something in a few days" stories repeatedly. We see "clunkers" parked at dealerships around the city, we know 2 people whose deals went through immediately, and read in the papers about other dealers running out of new vehicles due to this CARS rebate. What's wrong with this Ed Rinke Pontiac? He's got to be losing money; his lot is full of these cars (which are promised to people like me) and he seems to be outright stating that he doesn't trust our government to repay him. I would definitely go somewhere else but now I'm afraid that my CARS rebate would be voided and I'd lose out on any incentives (which I don't even know if they're still going to honor since it's been so long!) This dealer joined the CARS (cash for clunkers) program, which not all dealers had to join, and refuses to sell cars by the rules of the program. The program clearly states if you find a car on their lot a which not all dealers had to join, and refuses to sell cars by the rules of the program. The program clearly states if you find a car on their lot and it qualifies and your trade-in-clunker qualifies, the customer gets to drive home that same day with their new car. The only thing that would depend on that is if it is too late to get insurance or the loan, which in case you could drive home the very next day. We have been waiting for a month to take delivery on our new car, which is against the program rules. We signed a purchase agreement and they input into the computer all of our information about our old (clunker) and new car, infact GM already has us listed as the owner of our new car and it's not even in our driveway. I want people to know that they can call NHTSA reporting dealer hotline, The CARS hotline, the Better Business Bureau, The Attorney General. You can find all of these numbers on the internet. I went as far as to get GM involved, The Senator, and e-mailed the Whitehouse. GM has been very helpful in trying to investigate the problem and my bad review has nothing to do with them, GM stands by their products and customer service, my dispute and bad review is against the Dealer and Dealer only!! The salesmanger Dennis Thacker was very rude, along with the second owner in charge Fred Rinke and the main owner in charge Edgar Rinke. I went in and demanded our car by the next day and told them if not I would report them. I also had them make a copy of all paperworked signed, so I had proof of their selling practices and violations. The next day when we went to go pick up our car, everyone was very pleasant as we were waiting patiently, only to have the main owner come up to us in a nice manner and ask us nicely to go outside to speak, so we did, only to be surprised by the police and to have the owner Edgar Rinke yelling at us in the parking lot. I have never felt so uncomfortable and embarrassed like I did that day. He made us feel like criminals. I don't know why the police were called, we were never asked to leave when we arrived, and we never made any physical or harming threat. I only threatened to report them and that I have the government and the law on my side. More
In 20 years of purchasing GM vehicles, I have never experienced such deceitfulness, lack of integrity and discourtesy in both sales people and the owner. The “Pull Ahead” program allowed me to get out experienced such deceitfulness, lack of integrity and discourtesy in both sales people and the owner. The “Pull Ahead” program allowed me to get out of a lease early; unfortunately, by the time I took delivery of the vehicle, that program had expired. Even more regrettable is that this fact was not disclosed to me upon signing the paperwork and receiving the vehicle. I had no reason to believe there was any problem until 6 months later, when GMAC began contacting me for almost $1,000 due to “early termination” of the lease. After contacting the dealership for an explanation of this problem, I was given the run-around and lied to repeatedly. Mr. Dennis Thacker made up a story about a certificate (that I never possessed) and blamed the dealership that I had previously dealt with. The owner Mr. Fred Rinke, was both rude and condescending when he told me there was nothing he could do to help me with this fiasco. I will never deal with this dealership again, and for anyone that chooses to, please be aware of the dishonesty and lack of professionalism you will most likey encounter. More
