On March 28, 2026, I purchased a 2012 Porsche Panamera Turbo S from European Motors for nearly $29,000 at full asking price, plus a $4,490 extended warranty sold by their finance department. What I got wa Turbo S from European Motors for nearly $29,000 at full asking price, plus a $4,490 extended warranty sold by their finance department. What I got was a vehicle with ~$22,800 in undisclosed mechanical and safety issues, and a dealer who used my own warranty to cover their obligations. The repairs within weeks of purchase: I took the vehicle to an independent Porsche specialist (Fix N Go in Plano) for inspection. On April 22, 2026, I paid them $10,805.22 for: Front brake pads and rotors: $2,221.18 (worn through, immediate safety hazard) Rear brake pads and rotors: $1,545.36 (worn through, immediate safety hazard) Brake fluid flush: $124.11 Rear shock absorbers: $3,293.78 (failed) Front left lower control arm: $1,217.94 Front left CV axle: $2,390.82 I also separately spent ~$2,000 on four new tires. The originals were manufactured in 2018, visibly cracked, and well past the safe service life recommended by all major tire manufacturers and by Porsche. Selling a high-performance car in 2026 on 8-year-old cracked tires is not acceptable practice for any dealer, let alone one operating its own service department. A second diagnosis weeks later identified another ~$10,000 in repairs (steering rack, front air struts, strut mounts), forcing me to sell the vehicle after only two months. Total: ~$22,800 in mechanical and safety issues on a $29,000 car. None disclosed at sale. European Motors operates its own service department. Any competent in-house inspection should have caught the tires, brakes, and rotors immediately. The warranty issue: I reported an AC problem to European Motors BEFORE leaving the lot the day of purchase. I returned within 3-4 days specifically for this issue and was told they "could not find a problem." Weeks later when it persisted, I returned again. They diagnosed a blend door failure and billed the repair to MY extended warranty rather than absorbing the cost. Under Exclusion #19 of my service contract, pre-existing conditions are not covered. The AC issue was disclosed before I left the lot and reported again within days. European Motors used a warranty I paid $4,490 for to cover their own obligation. When I canceled the contract after deciding to sell, that paid claim reduced my refund by ~$1,500. I called Sam in their finance department to express my frustration. His response was underwhelming and offered no acknowledgment or resolution. European Motors had the chance to make this right directly. They chose not to. For future buyers: Get an independent pre-purchase inspection. Don't trust their in-house inspection. Check tire DOT codes for actual age. Tread depth doesn't tell you if rubber is too old. Get every promise in writing. Verbal commitments mean nothing. Issues you report on day one may be billed to your warranty without your knowledge. Assume undisclosed issues. Budget accordingly or walk away. I wanted to love this car. Instead I'm walking away from a Porsche after two months because of decisions European Motors made before and after the sale. Brakes worn through. Tires 8 years old and cracked. Suspension failing. AC broken on day one and billed to my warranty. None of it disclosed. When I tried to resolve it directly, they didn't engage. This was my experience with European Motors. Buyer beware. More
Worst experience ever. Approved for a deal was told everything was approved right before they closed for the night. I was told my car would be there for my agreed time (to Approved for a deal was told everything was approved right before they closed for the night. I was told my car would be there for my agreed time (to sign papers) for the very next morning. Called to let them know I was on the way only to be told that the car was sold after hours. No call, no explanation, not even a conversation or an apology - after getting 7 hits on my credit. More
Did not have very good experience other than the car is running and they have a decent financial department. I bought the vehicle remotely since they offer free shipping to Texas and Oklahoma. I asked t running and they have a decent financial department. I bought the vehicle remotely since they offer free shipping to Texas and Oklahoma. I asked the salesman to help me check the vehicle on all points. When I receive the vehicle, I found contradicting discovery: - steering pulling to the right (alignment issue) - vibration when going over 60 mph (balancing issue) - brakes must be pushed deep and it vibrates - paints swirls all over (over buffing) - seat AC not working - headlight high beam does not work Aside from all these, the shipping delay was a mixture of lies about the car be re-checked again, the AC filter being replaced, the air filter being replaced and there is no transporter available. I had to find them the transporter to deliver the vehicle. They are smooth talkers for sure. Beware. See the other 1-star reviews. More
Sam was my contact at European Motors. And he took care of everything. I bought 'long distance', which I was apprehensive about, but the experience was smooth, professional, VERY helpful, low pressure, and of everything. I bought 'long distance', which I was apprehensive about, but the experience was smooth, professional, VERY helpful, low pressure, and every step was explained fully and every question answered. And the car was exactly what I expected, and delivered to my front door in perfect condition and 'detailed' inside and out. Highly Recommended. More
Excellent customer service!!!!! From the conversation on the phone and on the way to the dealership, this dealership took care of me without any questions ask. I ask my car salesman From the conversation on the phone and on the way to the dealership, this dealership took care of me without any questions ask. I ask my car salesman which was Bruce to give me a deal over the phone which other dealership refuse to do and that what really sold me on European Motors. These guys are always willing to go the extra mile for there customers. I ask Bruce to have the car pulled around to the front and start on the paperwork and he was there with the door open waiting for me and my wife to test drive. My wife drove a block down the streets and it was a done deal within 45 mins. Mr Sam the finance manager was on the same page as Mr. Bruce in and out with all the bells and whistle. You guys rock!!!!
