Bobbi, we apologize for the lacking service experience and wanted to provide some context to the situation to better explain what Stefani was trying to do to help you, which turned out to be a hindrance to the process. Through conversing with Stefani after seeing your review, she clearly could have better explained her intentions and we thought it was important to provide that explanation. While our parts department does have the ability to see possible stock at other stores, it is not guaranteed that parts listed are available for sale. Each dealer is independently owned and operated and may choose not to sell a part to another dealer. Examples of times where this may occur is when another dealer may have the specific part you’re seeking dedicated to one of their customers jobs and thus it cannot be sold. Unfortunately, sometimes as a dealer reaching out on behalf of a customer, we get told no to parts where a customer calling may get told yes. All Subaru dealers do try to work together when we can to enhance the customer experience, but sometimes the answer is just no and as a dealer, we are not always provided the reason. Stefani was trying to provide you a solution that would help you obtain the part needed as quick as possible without making an extra trip to see us as we do not have the part in stock. If we could do it again, Stefani should have transferred your call to the parts department so they could have gone over any available options with the you as she does not have access to that system. In speaking with Stefani about your review, she sees where she could have improved the experience by asking parts department and/ or transferring you to parts so they may go over options. We clearly dropped the ball at effectively communicating our intentions of asking you to call around and apologize for that. We are using this experience as a training opportunity to ensure the rest of our staff knows how to handle calls regarding parts orders moving forward. We apologize for dropping the ball and yearn to better serve you moving forward. Best wishes!
