Just do your research before committing to anything. Run your own VIN checks and don’t trust everything they show you when you’re there. Look BEFORE you go. Don’t let them take any down payments before Run your own VIN checks and don’t trust everything they show you when you’re there. Look BEFORE you go. Don’t let them take any down payments before you even see the car. Get any promised deliverables in WRITING before you leave if you decide to take the car, don’t just take Ali’s word for it. Also a good idea to get a look under these cars, look for rust, tape, zip ties or panels held on with glue. Oh, and make sure they apply your full down payment to the amount financed, some shady stuff going on with where my cash went. More
I went in exotic motors on 06/17/23. I agreed to the deal I take the car and turn the car on and got 4 lights on the dash. Mind you i haven’t left the lot yet. I sent a message to Ali with a picture of the lights , he was outside parking a car so he pulled up to my passenger side. I tried to roll the window down it does not roll down, i trued the other windows, only 2 work. Ali said the ABS booster might be faulty, i told him that i have to get to work and i will bring the car back to have it repair. Meanwhile, the dealer orders the part and calls me to bring the car in. In terms of the windows , i didn’t even mention it. 2 days later , i am driving about 40 mph, the steering wheel locks up, the Ac turns off, the brakes lock up, my lights went off and i get a list of warning messages. I almost got in an accident I call Ali 3 times, i message him, no answer. Got an uber to the nearest autozone and picked up a battery, went back to the car and replaced it. The car turned on fine. Next day it did the same thing. I towed it to a mechanic. My mechanic told me that i have a small drip of coolant fluid from the radiator, the alternator is faulty and the battery is drained out , i spent $1900 within the first 3 days. I called Ali the next day to let him know whats going on, no answer. Very typical I called the dealer , i spoke to Shawn (Sean), i told him of the situation, and i requested to speak to a manager, he said there is no manager available. He told me that he will let the manager know and have him call me back to set up an appointment to get the ABS booster fixed. I didn’t get a call back that day. 3 days later i picked up the car from my mechanic, alternator was changed, radiator was changed, and battery was changed. Drove the car for a good 4 days without any issues, then the car starts acting up. Doesn’t pull, has a hard time accelerating, choking and basically in limp mode. I called Ali with no answer, i called Mike (finance guy) , he told me to get in touch with Ali. I told him I’ve been trying to. No care in the world. I had 3 remaining days of work for the week, i used uber all 3 days back and forth to and from work. I text Ali that i will be bringing the car back on Monday 07/03. He said they were off until after the 4th. On Wednesday the 5th i go to the dealer and sit for an hour to be spoken to. Ali shows up, up to this point i am calm and collected. He said the my car was sold and i cant return the car ( it hasn’t been 2 weeks). This is where i start getting frustrated. How in the world do you sell my car when you haven’t even paid it off . He responded with “ no body told you to go and spend $1900 to repair the car” i told him the i called him a thousand times and called the dealer but i was brushed off. And what else am i supposed to do in that situation. The manager “Rudy” jumps in and tells me that the mustang is still in the lot. Ali is a liar!! Why would he tell me its sold! Rudy told me to leave the car there and they will have it repaired. Woooof, some type of relief right!? I left the car there from 07/05 until 07/15. I used uber everyday those ten days. Ten days later, i pick up the car, I turned the car on and drive for 30 seconds, all the lights cane back on. only to find out that they only replaced a hose that goes from the transmission to the radiator and added some transmission fluid. 10 whole days. Since the 15th, I’ve been calling Ali, Mike, Rudy, and the shop, no body answers The gist of this is every single on of the staff that I’ve dealt with has dealt with me in bad faith, and has lied to me More
This is what $62,000 buys you at exotic motors. My 2018 M3 with 25K miles rolled off the trailer with a check engine light on and missing 1 of the keys. Rudy was prompt to promise they would make it right. The car went straight to a shop and was diagnosed with major engine problems. The check engine light was a code for unmetered air finding its way into the engine. In this case, it was being sucked in through the front main crank seal due to the crank hub being severely out of round (almost a tenth of an inch). Repair estimates are starting at $10k. They tried to get me to take it to a dealer where they would pay for a second opinion, but never followed through with committing to have the bill in their name. This car had the same problem with the last owner before exotic motors had it (front main replaced 1k miles ago at another shop who reported it to Carfax, I called them and they had the exact same diagnosis). Rudy was all promises until the time came to buy the car back (their choice, I was fine with it), now they are ghosting me. I have never raised my voice to them or swore at them. I keep my cool. Exotic motors on the other hand (mostly their guy named Ali) has accused me of various scams and crime xxxxxxassociated with this car to defraud them. If you want the best reference in the world, call an attorney in the Chicago area who practices dealer fraud law (not lemon law). Ask them if they have ever heard of exotic motors I called to find an attorney and was shocked to find out how famous this dealership is with local law firms. My experience is not rare. It is the norm. These guys are flipping the cheapest auction cars they can find at retail prices and completely concealing all the issues they have. I have never been treated this bad in a car deal in my life. More
