Dishonesty and manipulative salesmenship I signed the lease for the Alfa Romeo Giulia IT 2017 on March 16, 2017 at 9:30pm and took possession of it at 10pm the same night. This agreement was based on the promise that the price I was given by another Alfa Romeo dealership would be matched. Since the car that Alfa Romeo of Manhattan wanted to sell to me was in another showroom, I lost a lot of time with them and the car that I test drove was not the one I finally signed for. During the test drive I told the salesperson Lemiron Starling that operating this car is very difficult for me, also told him that the color of it is not what I wanted, he convinced me that I will get used to the car and the color is nicer than silver gray that I wanted. From 2pm until 10pm, Mr. Starling and Mr. Hassan Ahmed (Sales Manager) kept me there for lack of better word “hostage.” Anyhow, by the time at 9:30 pm when I signed the lease I was exhausted. When I drove the Alfa Romeo Giulia home, I found numerous problems with it and could not safely drive it. Therefore, in the morning of Friday March 17, 2017, at 10:02am, I sent an e-mail to them stating that I needed to return the Giulia and take back my Lexus. I followed that short e-mail with phone calls and another e-mail the same day. Although Mr. Ahmad promised to call me back soon, he never did. In the meantime, my accountant brought to my attention that they have kept the monthly lease the same as what the other dealership had offered me, but have traded my Lexus for which they offered $11,500. This is contrary to what I was told by the other dealership which they promised to match. Therefore, at 2:30 pm the same day, I returned the Giulia to the Manhattan showroom. Mr. Starling was not there and Mr. Ahmed said it was out of his hands and that Mr. Caleb Denic (showroom general manager), had to make a decision. After waiting for over two hours, Mr. Denic said that he had sold my Lexus, and had also sent the lease documents to the lessor (Allied Financial) and had received his fee. Therefore, there was no way that he could reverse the transaction. Since I didn’t believe that they could not stop a transaction that was signed at 9:30 pm the night before at 10am the next day, I called Allied Financial and they said they had not received any documents from Alfa Romeo of Manhattan. They also said that they had no file yet for me or the referenced transaction and have not paid the dealer. In addition to the fact that I am not able to safely drive this car, so far I have found mechanical issues with the car that have not been resolved and in addition the navigation system is very cumbersome and the gear shifting is complicated. This dealer still refuses to reverse this transaction for a car that I am too old to drive which was done through emotional pressure over the course of 8 hours. More

Because my deal was insanely complicated and not once did they express any frustration.. Always accommodating and in the end I am in an amazing 500X for an amazing price. This is my 3rd Fiat (previously had a pop and then a lounge convertible) and while I've always found the dealers to be amenable, no dealer can compare with the awesomeness that is Fiat of Manhattan. Even their service dept rocks...overall they just work WITH you no matter what, and whatever your schedule. They obviously take customer satisfaction seriously. Kudos to the entire team here and a big thank you! More
