Making lemonade The 2011 Sonata year was not the best one for Hyundai. Lots of problems. We didn't know that when we bought a new one from Fitzgerald. But we lov The 2011 Sonata year was not the best one for Hyundai. Lots of problems. We didn't know that when we bought a new one from Fitzgerald. But we loved it for most of the time we drove it. But I loaned it to my daughter who was visiting and she drove it to Brooklyn with her family. On the way back the car stopped in Delaware. Had to be towed 112 miles back to Fitzgerald. Needed a new motor. Turned out it was under warranty, and it was replaced at no charge. Then another problem with the steering wheel shaft. It, too, was replaced. And three weeks ago, the car stopped again. This time it needed a transmission. In each of these instances,. as inconvenient and frustrating as they were - Fitzgerald (Rich Sukhram was our service rep and advocate) connected with Hyundai and got the replacement costs covered, Fiitzgerald did the work quickly and we also got a loaner car for some of that time. It is the reason why we are buying another car from Fitzgerald in next month More

During visits where I had to wait no one seems upset about the wait. The Service Reps never make you feel like your being rushed. They take time to listen to your concerns, answer questions and assist in providing workable solutions. Thank you to Donnie and his team for always making me and my family safe with our cars. More
Claudia went above and beyond to make me happy! Claudia understood my frustration at having had three nails in my tires over the last three months. Lester in the service center was awesome and explained everything that was done to my vehicle and even went so far as to put gas in my vehicle after it was serviced. I was fortunate to meet Dottie who treated me like a member of her family and exemplified how important customer service is at Fitzgerald. The professionals at Fitzgerald made my experience one that will make me a lifelong customer. If I could give them six stars, I would. More

We ended up buying the car from the Gaithersburg location and they had to take it out of the Rockville showroom. The service department is absolutely horrible. Yesterday 07/13/2016, the 2013 Sonata caught on fire and I had to put it out. I called roadside assistance and they told me that they will tow the car to the closest Hyundai location. I knew Rockville was the closest and really DID NOT want my car to go there. I have worked with the Hyundai service department in the past in Rockville and I refuse to go back. They are rude and unwilling to help. Lester was very rude and told me to take my business elsewhere as he would not be able to look at my car for at least a week. Outrageous, not that the Gaithersburg location is much better, but I believe Rockville is the worst. More
Great customer service!!! I have been experiencing some unusual problem with my new hyundai Santa Fe 2013. Andy and Brian from The Rockville Fitzgerald service department have been very helpful and respons unusual problem with my new hyundai Santa Fe 2013. Andy and Brian from The Rockville Fitzgerald service department have been very helpful and responsive in finding and resolving the problem with the car. The unusual problem actually required the service tech John to come all the way to my house to trouble shoot. John was very professional and took his time to figure out all the possible cause of the problem. The malfunction appears to have been resolved so far and Andy, the service manager called me a few weeks after the repair to follow up with the result. More
How impressive is it when the person who signs you in for service knows enough about cars to diagnose a very tricky problem?! Shop personnel running mechanical checks had not been able to determine the cause of a check engine light. Brian listened to what I said and realized the cause. Brian is a great example of why doctors TALK to patients. Tests only show so much. Listening often gives far more information than any test can show. And when the service rep is knowledgeable enough to make the diagnosis . . . problem solved! Great work, Brian. Alvin Stenzel More
I received a Recall notice for my 2010 Hyundai Elantra and called to make an appointment. After I dropped off the car, I received a phone call from Andy Portillo notifying me that the part had changed pe and called to make an appointment. After I dropped off the car, I received a phone call from Andy Portillo notifying me that the part had changed per Hyundai and that he did not have it. At first, he offered to drop my car off at home which was very convenient. Later, I received another phone call letting me know that he found the part at another dealer and some employees were on there way over to the other dealer to pick up the part (from MD to VA!). The part was replaced and I was able to pick up my car on the same day. Andy made the effort to do all of the above, and called me when everything was finished! The customer service was outstanding on this particular service call. Thank you! More
Wonderful friendly staff. Felt very comfortable leaving my vehicle in their hands for service. Options were given to me in fixing my car, that unlike any other dealership were helpful financially. My car was given back to me after my service vacuumed out and washed, looking great. I am very pleased with the helpful staff, who took care of me in a very timely, professional matter. More
