Wasted money. Wasted time. Lost confidence and a lost customer. My wife picked me up from the airport. While waiting for me to arrive, her 2017 Ford Focus overh Wasted time. Lost confidence and a lost customer. My wife picked me up from the airport. While waiting for me to arrive, her 2017 Ford Focus overheated. A car that has been serviced (outside of oil changes) entirely by 5 Star Ford since we moved to Dallas and by Ford Service since it was purchased new by us. The car had been shifting awkwardly for a while as well. We drove the car straight to service department from the airport and told them about the overheating and the shifting concerns. They had the car for a week. Said that they could not replicate the overheating and didn’t notice any issues with the transmission. However, it did need new brakes on all 4 tires, had a bad CV boot and a bent sway bar. I trusted their recommendation and paid a bit over $2,000 to fix all the items. Shortly after getting the car home, it overheated again and still had shifting problems. I took it to my nearest auto repair and transmission shop with the same concerns. Their words not mine, “Stevie Wonder could have seen the hole in the intake manifold leaking into the engine. That’s the cause of the overheating.” The transmission is going out and on its last leg as well. Their cost to repair everything, nearly $10,000. More than the value of the car by double. They told me not to put the money into the car. An honest recommendation. Both my wife and I called the service department at 5 Star over the last two weeks trying to speak to a manager about this miss by their technicians, we received no returned calls. We ended up donating the car for under $600 on Monday. We also purchased a new car from another dealership (not a Ford). People make mistakes, but I won’t make the mistake of trusting 5-Star Ford for maintenance again. Had they been honest from the beginning, allowing us to avoid completely unnecessary repairs, we likely would have purchased a new vehicle from them. More

I took my truck in for service for an oil leak. What they didn’t know is that I had already crawled under the truck to find the source. But, again, I had already verified the leak was nowhere near the drain plug and was coming from the front of the engine. They didn’t even do a real evaluation before seeing the aftermarket drain plug and assuming that was the issue. More

I found Five Star Ford of Dallas doing an online search for Mavericks. They had what I wanted. Upon arrival I was greeted by Leon in sales. He was friendly but not pushy! He answered my questions and got m for Mavericks. They had what I wanted. Upon arrival I was greeted by Leon in sales. He was friendly but not pushy! He answered my questions and got me in the vehicle I wanted for a test drive in just a few minutes. Afterwards, Lupita from Aftermarket got me the window tinting needed for the Texas sun. Then Alex in finance helped me get the paperwork straight. I appreciated the Sales Manager's help in the process but I did not remember his name or it would be here too.
