I used this dealership for my first oil change in my 2025 Explorer ST (purchased 11/24/25). Oil change went as expected, my next visit to this dealership did not. I have left multiple reviews for Five St Explorer ST (purchased 11/24/25). Oil change went as expected, my next visit to this dealership did not. I have left multiple reviews for Five Star Ford of Dallas that have landed on deaf ears. I have a crack in windshield on passenger side top edge with no evidence of impact, it is most likely a stress crack based on my experience as a veteran with a background in aviation maintenance. I was spoken to as if I was inferior and knew absolutely nothing about the vehicles or glass in general. They demonstrated "the pen" test on my crack, they took a ball point pen to check to see if the tip catches by running it along the crack. First of all, when I called one of the representatives tried to tell me there isn't warranty coverage on windshields. The only problem is I read my warranty before I called and quickly mentioned the 1 year / 12,000 mile warranty. This is when they put Felix the "Ford Master Certified Service Advisor" on the phone; I'm assuming he is the Ace in the deck to prevent the dealer from spending money on a warranty claims. Felix says, "I think I feel a chip at the top edge of the windshield, I need to get my service manager" (I already have done this test prior to arriving, and I had no catching whatsoever). The manager came out and walked right past me without even acknowledging me with a pen in hand and started perpendicularly jamming and dragging it in my windshield across the crack so hard it left ink all around the crack (he tried wiping it off right before he told me it was a rock chip after him putting on his performance). He then attempted to inform me that stress cracks cannot form on the exterior windshield, I did confirm that he was saying that it was impossible for stress cracks to develop on the exterior piece of the windshield (Stress cracks can form on the exterior piece of glass for the record). To make this even more obvious that they had committed to not honoring the warranty the manager asked me if I purchased the vehicle from them. I informed him that I had not, he replied "maybe try taking the vehicle back where you bought it from". This seems to be the usual when dealing with Ford, I have had nothing but negative experiences purchasing my Explorer ST and now just when I started to think maybe I found a dealership I can continue to do business with, they try patronizing me like i don't know any better. Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way is when I asked how much a windshield replacement costs, they were not able to confirm a price and didn't offer to get the price for me. At this point, if I have to pay for a windshield that I feel should be covered under warranty so be it. I'll be happy to give another dealership a chance to earn my business going forward. Pay attention to which reviews dealerships choose to respond to, and more importantly the ones that they don't. More
