When I called for service, all was fine until I remarked that my steering assembly was making a strange noise. The first thing I was told is that there will be a $140 fee to check it out. The correct answer is "we'll check that out when you bring it in and get back to you on that issue." Then if the problem can't be easily diagnosed, the option for a $140 search can be explained.
