A Breath of Fresh Air From the very beginning of when I started thinking about buying a car, I knew I was walking a tightrope between wanting something with great fuel econ From the very beginning of when I started thinking about buying a car, I knew I was walking a tightrope between wanting something with great fuel economy and wanting something that would be good in bad weather. Obviously, a newish Subaru was one of the only ways I might get both, but I was totally convinced I wouldn't be able to get appropriate financing because of my credit. After receiving a message about what I was interested in through TrueCar, however, Gail Segal called me from the Fred Beans Subaru team, and, even after I explained my circumstances and my doubt that they could help, the whole team went hard to work trying to figure out how to get me into a car I really wanted. In the meantime, I went to four other dealerships and test drove about ten cars. I also was receiving constant phone calls and emails from about seven other dealerships. Everyone other than the Fred Beans Subaru team was extremely aggressive, even over the phone, and I felt like a turkey the week before Thanksgiving. It didn’t help things that I was a woman shopping for a car by myself. Luckily, Gail called me late in the day with the news that they had managed to get me approved for a brand new Impreza hatchback, told me exactly what the payment would be, and asked if I would like to come in for a test drive. I couldn’t get there until after Gail had left, but when I arrived she had thoroughly briefed Jon Denny on the entire course of events, instead of demanding I work according to her schedule, as other dealers had. Like Gail and the finance team, Jon was *amazing.* He was relaxed, extremely patient, and answered all of my questions honestly and thoroughly even when I asked for details on how problems in older-model Subarus had been addressed. He went out of his way to put me at ease. I never felt the slightest bit of pressure, and actually really enjoyed the whole dealership and test-drive experience. To top it all off, the financing department had managed to get me an interest rate that was 1/3 to ¼ of what other dealers had offered, and with a monthly payment that was $100+ less than what I had been offered on a slightly used Kia, and the Subaru had a shorter term! Everyone I met at the dealership was a real person. They made the process totally simple, and stayed late so that I could take the car home that same evening. Jon and the sales manager even helped me figure out how to get insurance that would go into effect immediately (at eight pm on a Friday night), and an hour after “closing,” Jon was setting up the Bluetooth for me in my new car! I am totally confident that I am going to have this Subaru for a long time. However, if anyone in my family or friends circle does need a car, I now know where to send them for a top-notch, customer-oriented, and stress-free car buying experience. Great buying experience with Fred Beans Subaru I began looking for a nice used car on AutoTrader.com and narrowed down my search to two cars. I drove an hour to a dealership in Allentown to look at a car that I was told by the salesman was there. I get there and the salesman isn't there and neither is the car. The next day that salesman kept texting me to come test drive, although I never asked him to text me. Even though I liked the car I knew I didn't want to do business with that salesman. I went to Fred Beans Subaru to look at my other car choice and was greeted as soon as I walked in. I met with Dan Agee and looked at a 2011 Camry. I test drove the car and Dan was very personable and knowledgeable. He was not pushy as other salesmen I had met with. Dan gave me a quote with taxes and other fees included so I could make an informed decision. Two days later I came back and told Dan I wanted the Camry. Dan took care of readying the paperwork as I had my financing already in place and it was the easiest car buying experience I have had (it was my fourth car purchase). Some dealers will try to push you to get financing they set up, but Dan didn't try to to keep pushing for that once I told him I wasn't interested. I definitely appreciate Dan's attention to detail, no pressure approach and dedicated assistance in the whole process. So even though I live in SC and the car was located in PA I figured I would give them a call. I first spoke with Keith Butler about the vehicle late in the day on Saturday. After thinking it over and deciding to move forward on the vehicle I called Keith back Monday on his personal phone number that he gave me. Well it ended up being Keith's day off and instead of brushing me off he made sure I got the answers I needed and pointed me in the right direction. I was later called by Jonathan Denny (John) with the follow up answers to the questions I had asked Keith earlier. I explained to both salesmen that I would be coming all the way from SC and that it was very important to me that every inch of the car was inspected and that every detail of the deal be worked out before I flew over 600 miles to purchase. After John test drove the vehicle and inspected it he explained to me the condition of the car and that I would not be disappointed. I told him I was going to think on it over night and let him know what I was going to do the next day. Well I decided to move forward on the purchase of the vehicle and John spoke with his manager Evan Perreault about arranging transportation to pick me up from Philadelphia from the airport since I would be flying in. Evan gave him the ok and even spoke with me and reassured me that everything was as John told me. Wednesday the Subaru team made sure everthing was good to go with my financing company and gave me the go ahead to purchase my plane ticket to fly up there. So Friday morning I arrived in Philadelphia only to be greated by my driver Al who I must say was the most courteous and professional gentleman that I've done business with. Al drove me to the dealership which is about an hour away from the airport which was a surprise that the dealership would even send someone that far to pick me up. Once arriving at the dealership I was greated by John and asked if I needed anything and made sure I was comfortable. After looking at the vehicle and test driving it I was relieved that the car was in the condition that was described to me (excellent condition). John had everthing in order and streamed line the process to where I was only at the dealership for a short time. Evan spoke with me and made sure that everything was to my satisfaction and if there was anything else that he could do. I told him how very pleased I was with his sales team and my overall experience with them. I've been apart of so many of the old used car dealer tactics and schemes and by far Fred Beans Subaru was the best car buying experience I've ever had. Everyone I worked with was incredibly professional and friendly even the finance department was great. So after everything was done I set out in my new car to SC for an eleven hour trip home and I can honestly say I would do it again. The guys even called me on my trip home and made sure everything was going alright. So huge thanks to everyone who was apart of making my car buying experience as excellent as it was. More

To my son and I Josh Landau seemed to go beyond being a salesman. He was so knowledgeable and reassured us we were getting the right car-We are first time Subaru buyers.
