My Review of Freehold Ford:
I was quoted a great price on a 2007 Ford Ranger. So, on a Saturday, I accepted the offer, signed a sales contract and left a $1,500 down payment. They told me to come back on Monday to pick up the truck. When I returned, they told me that they sold the truck to someone else. Also, they had already cashed my down payment and would not refund the money! Instead, they tried to force me into buying a 2008 model for a lot more money. When I started loudly complaining, they threw me out of the dealership instead of trying to work with me!!! Don't buy anything from these people, it's all "bait and switch".

My Review of Freehold Ford:
Brought in my 1995 F-150 for an oil change and to have them look at a leak in the power steering. The vehicle had been purchased from them in 1995 and had the engine and transmission replaced over the course of 100K - both under warranty. I paid them $30 to check the power steering and let me know if it was a hose or if it was the whole steering box. When I picked up my truck I was told that I needed a complete steering box and hoses, about $750. I took it to a local repair shop and turns out it was just a rusty hose connection. Both hoses were replaced for $150. It wasn't like I asked them to check some anomolous problem. I asked Freehold a specific question, "hoses or box or both." They never looked. They just went with the whole tomato.

My Review of Freehold Ford:
Freehold Ford is one of the worst dealerships I've ever dealt with. This is one of those high pressure, sock-it-to-ya, rip you off dealerships. They try every trick of the trade, from high financing, dealer prep, to "give me $20 so the sales manager knows your serious." Give me a break! I'd rather be getting root canal then spending my free time shopping for a car.

I bought a 1997 Ford Windstar GL brand new from Freehold Ford in Jan/1997. The Windstar has had more vertical mileage than horizontal. It's not enough that I'm always bringing it in for one thing after another to get "fixed", but they always hit you up for one of those Maintenance Schedules costing another $1000. From day one, they said if you don't have us do the Maintenance Scheduled items, your warranty will not be honored. BULLSHIT! I paid them a fortune for maintenace, and things were still not covered, plus the I would get the car back in worse shape than before! For example, one time the crankshaft seal had to be replaced due to an oil leak. Got back the car, checked the oil, and it had 10 QUARTS of OIL in it. They double filled the engine and NEVER checked the oil. Another time, the front wheel bearing had to be replaced although I never noticed a problem with the front end. After one month, the new bearing went because they forgot to GREASE it!

This is one of the absolute worse dealerships I have ever dealt with. Luckily I recently got rid of the Windstar, and more importantly, got rid of Freehold Ford!
