Poor experience getting my car appraised here for sale. Was contacted by the dealership after submitting my car info to KBB online. Brought it in for an appraisal. Walked around the car together with one of the sales reps. We went back inside, and they asked for my keys to discuss the offer with the manager. Next thing I know, I see through my car's app that it's being driven at 60 mph in the parking lot behind the dealership. Nobody asked me if they could test drive it - I assumed they just wanted to do a walkaround or check the interior without me present. I certainly wouldn't have allowed anyone to drive 60 mph in a parking lot unsupervised. The best part is they park the car in a random area of the parking lot around the side of the building and can't figure out how to restart it, so I have to walk out and collect the car on my own. The sales manager gets out and tells me "your car doesn't like me." By this point, the car and I have something in common. I leave and follow up with an email to the general manager that never gets returned. I even send a second email to the sales rep to confirm that they gave me the right email for the general manager - that doesn't get returned either. Take your business somewhere else. The sales manager who decided to drive my car at 60 mph in a parking lot did leave me a voicemail, but not an apology. Just know you won't find any recourse if that level doesn't work out for you. I went to this dealership specifically because they had my dream car available, which is unheard of these days. I have purchased several other cars at a dealership closer to where I live, and I have never my dream car available, which is unheard of these days. I have purchased several other cars at a dealership closer to where I live, and I have never had any issues. IF YOU ARE A WOMAN, DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. My experience with this dealership was perfectly fine until I declined any "add ons" that they tried to sell me. I very clearly declined the OPTIONAL addition of Skyforce and Nanocure that totaled approximately $1,000. The second that I declined these options, it was clear that I upset the salesman. He immediately got up and went to speak to the sales manager. The salesman then asked if I would agree to the options if my monthly payment would be the same as it would be without the options. At this time, my husband was sitting with me and our two young children. This conversation continued until we finally agreed. We only agreed because we needed to move the process along because we had already been there for over an hour with our children who were getting tired. Once the finance department took over, my husband left with the children to transfer everything from the car we were trading in to the new car. The finance manager seemed very nice at the beginning of the process; however, when I declined any additional warranties (as I always do), I yet again was faced with an upset male employee. He then began to re-explain why I needed the warranties that he was selling, as if I did not understand it the first time that he explained it. When I again said NO, he asked me why I did not want it. I should not have to explain why I do not want the additional warranty. I told him that I did not want it. He did not stop there. He kept pushing the matter until another employee then came into the office to back him up. They still tried to sell me the premium warranties. They pushed and pushed causing the purchase process to take an extremely long time. This did not stop until my husband came back into the dealership and threatened to walk away from the purchase if they did not finalize the sale in the next 15 minutes. This dealership's sales tactics were the worst I have ever seen. When I did not agree, they belittled me and treated me like I was stupid. I am not sure why I had to say NO more than once, much less over and over again. I am no where new to purchasing cars from dealerships, so I absolutely know that this is not normal or acceptable. The whole process took over three hours, and it was a traumatizing experience for myself and my family. More
I have been going to Galleria Chevrolet since 2020 when I bought a new Silverado. The initial sale went great, quick, easy, and no surprises. It started there but let me tell you folks, the service department is top notch! I take my both of my trucks here now, great advisors and fantastic techs. Can’t say enough good things but I’ll tell you this, if you go for service you won’t be disappointed. No Chevy dealer in the metroplex can touch their oil change prices. Call around and check for yourself. No I don’t work there and no they didn’t compensate me in any way to say this stuff. I’ve had nothing but good experience with them and I hope you do too. More
