We had an amazing experience at Gettel Hyundai of Sarasota. The entire process was friendly and non-pressure and non-adversarial like many car dealership experiences can be. We genuinely felt like the dealership listened to our needs and they worked with us fairly. Not only did we purchase the one new Hyundai we intended to purchase but we ended up trading in a vehicle and purchasing a second new Hyundai. Overall a very nice and positive experience. Our salesperson John Williams was excellent to work with and was a major reason for the overall positive experience. There was also Sam, the brand ambassador, who also helped us and provided a lot of information throughout the process and after the sale. More
I brought my one month old Sonata Hybrid in because the navigation system was dead. The service person looked at it, said it would take a week to get it into the shop to be diagnosed and then time for part navigation system was dead. The service person looked at it, said it would take a week to get it into the shop to be diagnosed and then time for parts and repair. I explained that we were leaving to return north in May 4. He said the work could not be done before then and offered a rental car in the interim. I explained that a rental car would not help because I needed to get back. He was polite but said I should just get the problem fixed up north. Before I left, I looked for Sam who had explained how the electronics worked when we picked up the car. Sam agreed with me that it was likely a software problem. He helped me connect with Hyundai Link by phone. They said the problem was due to a software upgrade that had recently been pushed to the car. They said a patch to fix the problem should be downloaded automatically on Monday. Sam was incredibly helpful. He is an extremely knowledgeable resource especially when it comes to problems with the car’s sophisticated electronics. Your service department should take advantage of his expertise. You should also figure out a way to reduce the waiting time for service. More

Melanie was so helpful in dealing with a very stressful situation when all my brake related lights went on at once. The car felt dangerous to drive and she handled it in a very efficient and professional situation when all my brake related lights went on at once. My only concern was it took from Saturday to Thursday just to get it diagnosed which she had no control over and I was without my car for almost 2 weeks.
