This is our second suv we have bought from this dealer and all I can say is wow. Our sales person is kaylon and he is great. Made our buying experience great. He needs a raise for sure. I took my Mazda in for a 100,000 mile inspection, tire rotation, and oil change. I was concerned that my car was not running well and that I had a nail in my tire resulting in a repeated slow leak in my t rotation, and oil change. I dropped it off on Sunday evening and they called me an hour after they opened on Monday and said my car was ready for pick up. I was shocked! I asked if they had the correct car. They charged me for the inspection, tire rotation, and oil change. Said everything was good. The following week, my tires did not pass state inspection. I still had to have the nail removed from my tire that Gorman McCraken insisted was not there, and then two belts finally snapped as I was traveling out of state for my new job. All the reasons I had put my car in their shop to be proactive. I will never do business with this company again. More
I waited over a week to hear what was wrong with the car, another week to have it repaired. At pick up I had to pay almost $ 200 more that was originally quoted. DO NOT BUY HERE! ! If I could give them zero stars, I would have. I was pre-approved for a used vehicle at a set price. Had been working with them for 4 days before ! When I did arrive, the price had jumped 4000 dollars. Said it was a market adjustment. Then said they would honor the original price. When it came down to price, they would not negotiate price of car, only the monthly payment. I asked the sales rep earlier in the week what the APR would be, and she wouldn't give it to me. Then the finance director told me what it was, and when my wife asked if that was what the bank said or was it his, he got up and walked out of the meeting, and said have a nice day. He said nothing to me when he left. No thank you, no hand shake, nothing. I confronted him about his behavior in his office (finance director) and he said he felt offended by my wife asking "all those questions". And said that our questions about the numbers were offensive and that we were being difficult to the sales reps. A verbal confrontation ensued, when he sarcastically apologized. Went to the new car side, after speaking with another sales man, he informed me that the finance director told him that they would no longer do business me me, and would not longer purchase my trade in, because I was being difficult. So not only did I not buy the car I traveled 2.5 hours to buy, but he black listed me at the new car side, because he was "offended" So, at Gorman McCraken, you better not ask any questions! Just take what they give you, be a happy ignorant person, and take the car salesman at their word. And remember, whatever your APR they give you, it's be jacked up atleast 4 or 5 points. More
AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP! !!! My vehicle alerted me that I had a tire losing pressure. I stopped at this dealership for them to check it out. The female service person attempt !!! The female service person attempted a scare tactic to force me to purchase a $450.00 tire that I didn’t need. She fabricated damages that were not there. I took the car to a tire repair center and they found a nail in tire and repaired it at no charge. Gorman McCracken has dishonest business practices. I will never do business with them in the future. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM GORMAN MCCRACKEN IN LONGVIEW TX! ! This dealership lied on pricing reneged on trade-in offer and tried to force a $3000 warranty and refused to sell it without the warranty. Also would only offer 9% interest on financing with a 720+ credit score lol ridiculous! Long story short I left in the car I went with, and if you want a good car purchasing experience I would choose any other dealership!! More
I will try to be as fair as I posible can to do this review, I have always been I loyal costumer of Gorman McCraken volkswagen Mazda of Longview, literally all of my cars have been purchased here I have review, I have always been I loyal costumer of Gorman McCraken volkswagen Mazda of Longview, literally all of my cars have been purchased here I have not a problem with VW cars, but recently (December) I took my truck for a repair, they gave me an estimate for over 10K, I ask if it still was under warranty which they said NOT COVERED, Ok, I double check on my own and my truck was still under warranty, so I came back and told them and they said that they have to check the truck again and I said, “so the first estimate for over 10k is not good anymore? What’s wrong with that estimate?, I may be missing something I don’t know, they agreed to repair my truck mean while I ask for a loan car which they said there wasn’t any available, ok fine. Got a call from dealer requesting permission to fix an arm that goes from transmission to the wheel, they said it was broken and wasn’t safe to drive ( not broken when I first took the truck) not happy about it but I agree after all Am not going to be spending much, fine. Got truck “fixed” drove it and was a big surprise TRUCK RUN LIKE CRAP, shaking, diesel fumes in the cabin, took it back next day and they work on it for almost another month. end of April 2022 almost 4 months now, have to pick up my car since I don’t have another car, still not running right after paying for parts that they thought was the problem, but no.I End up with a car that is running worst that when I brought it to them. More

A year and a half later, (now $53), still not paid and sent to collections under MY name, despite numerous conversations and assurances that they would or did take care of it. No sir. That vehicle was not registered to me at the time of the fee. NOT MY FEE. Absolutely ridiculous. And the vehicle was delivered with rear end damaged, that was not present at time of purchase. They did pay for that FINALLY, 3 days after the repairs were finished. What a bunch of bull! NEVER BUY FROM THEM!!! More

They rushed through the paperwork not explaining any details and I check my credit report and it shows a lease account. I also, told them I didn't want my payment over 600 dollars a month. This agreement was for purchase, and I find out that its 606 dollars a month for a lease. This agreement was for a purchase, as I told them I did not want a lease! I went up to the dealership today and the sales manager stated, "it's not a lease, they just process it on a lease form." They stated they didn't understand why I didn't want to lease, because the salesperson Kris and the sales manager both do it, and 50% of buyers do it. I told them I was not in that 50%, I wanted to buy the car. The sale manager stated that if the lease was funded he couldn't rewrite the lease to a sale. I called VW finance and asked if that was correct and they stated, "No that's not correct, all the dealer has to do is rewrite the contact and submit it, but they could force them to do so." Yet another lie! The bottom line is they stood to make more profit off a lease than a sale. Do not trust these people. I spent 4 hours with them and having VW Finance, as well as VW Corporate America filing complaints against the dealership. More
