30th Aug, 2021, I was giving a quote by Green Chevrolet, Service Department, East Moline, IL. The quote was $2100 dollars to replace an AC condenser and recharge the AC. I asked to see the brea Chevrolet, Service Department, East Moline, IL. The quote was $2100 dollars to replace an AC condenser and recharge the AC. I asked to see the break down of the cost. Condenser cost $236.00, recharge cost $175.00, labor 5.2 hours X $150an hour = $780 Add together $236 + $175 + $780 = $1,191.00 plus taxes. Keep in mind, the quote was for $2100. I said to the service writer that something is wrong here. The service writer was immediately on the defense. The service writer shrug his shoulders and said that he does not care. He insulted my intelligence and started to tell me that I should know because of my background. This is how I was treated as a 20 year active duty Military Veteran. Green Chevrolet in East Moline, IL, lost a loyal customer due to disrespect and the discrepancies in the price. Not a veteran friendly business. More
Do NOT buy an extended warranty with Green. Both times I took my vehicle in for service I was told that they could not help me and that I had to take it to a Kia dealership.
