My Review Of Gretna Auto Outlet:
Came to Blair Auto Mall because I found a nice looking Ford F-350 King Ranch online. I went to the dealership, and the truck was as nice as advertised. So I drove it for a night, came back the next day & handed them a check. Pretty easy. Then, the fun started. In our sales contract we listed a leak from the power steering line that needed to be repaired as part of the deal. So I agreed and drove the truck home. Less then two days later, the truck broke down. The power steering line which was in question, gave out completely dumping all the fluid on the street below. I texted the sales associate, his name was Alex, he said no problem we will have it towed to the repair shop that Monday. So I agreed to wait till Monday. Monday came & never heard from him, so I had to call him. It turns out they would not tow the truck, and told me they would drive it to the shop for me. Keep in mind this thing was shooting out power steering fluid like a faucet. It only took minutes to empty it. I argued back & forth with them via text msgs for the next couple hours. They said, oh we talked to our mechanic, he said it's ok to drive it leaking. Finally after getting sick of dealing with Alex, and others at the dealer above him, I drove the truck into their so called fix it shop(which was a auto-body shop) I stopped along the way to buy 4 can's of fluid to keep the truck filled up while driving it. After stopping three times to fill up in less the 10 miles, the pump ran dry, causing it to fail. To find out, from the owner of the shop they had me take it to, they would only put a used power steering pump on my truck, as Brian, the owner says it's a used truck, so they wouldn't pay for new parts. Coming from the owner of the repair shop, said "Brian would not pay to fix it right, you don't want me to do the work." Regardless if it was their bad not towing it to save their $150.00, which was the price of the tow(which i've had to do twice in less then 2 weeks)
So back to the story, after fighting with the owner, Brian Gibbs, I decided to take it to my own shop, that I trusted. Brian agreed to pay for a remanufactured pump, $53.00, and only $200 of the labor. Leaving me with the other $100 plus in costs. So they installed a new remanufactured pump, and I had to pay part of the bill as Brain, the owner wouldn't pay anymore. They just kept pushing the warranty the sale, the ASC warranty, which covers nothing and cost $3,600.
So I take the truck home from the shop, and what's it do? It breaks a serpentine belt, I only got about 10 miles from the shop. Could it get any worse? Yes, so I then find out it has a bad drive belt tensioner, another $415.00. So finally I take the truck to a diesel shop in town to get a health check up. Turns out that my new, beautiful truck has no EGR left, & needs $3,000 to repair and drive home.
I contacted Brian, the owner, who literally told me to stop texting him, sorry for my luck, and you could have bought the warranty. Even though the warranty would have cost me $3,600 to purchased, and would have cover nothing that happened to me. Trust me, I called the company myself and asked, they do not cover the EGR, and they said the tensioner was a maintenance Item, which is not covered.
Turns out I found all kinds of the bad reviews online, so its obvious these guys are up to no good. I even found friends who have had similar experiences with the owner, what a hoot! I want anybody and everybody to stay as far away from this dealership as possible. This entire place is crooked. They rip people off by selling super nice looking trucks, but don't mechanically look at them one bit. Once your out the door, it's yours, they don't care one bit about the customer. They know what they are doing, look at all the reviews, most of these stories are like mine. Sad to say but these people are crooks and I hope they get whats coming to them. STAY AWAY! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BLAIR AUTO MALL!
