I just recently had my car serviced about two days ago. Everyone in the service department was extremely polite and helpful. I've never had an issue with service at this dealership in the past 3 years. So when I bought my second car here, I expected more of the same. My sales person told me when I bought the car that they'd talk in the past 3 years. So when I bought my second car here, I expected more of the same. My sales person told me when I bought the car that they'd talk to the service department and have them call me the next Monday to set up the apointment to apply my protection package. He told me I could drop it off at 7:30 and get a rental for the day. Monday came and went and I didn't receive a call. I called my sale person Tuesday and he said he'd talk to them again and make sure they contacted me. Laurie from the service department called that afternoon and said she thought she had already contacted me. I set up an appointment for Thursday. She told me to come by at 9. I mentioned that I was told I could drop it off at 7:30 and get a rental. She said my sales person was wrong and I couldn't get a rental at 7:30. She told me to just come Wednesday night to drop it off and get a rental then. I was told to come at 5:30 and ask for her by name. I showed up just before 5:30 Wednesday night and asked for Laurie. The person there said Laurie had left for the day but she could get me checked in. I gave her all the information she needed and then she told me that I was okay to leave. I told her I was supposed to be getting a rental. She seemed pretty surprised and said she'd go check to see what she could do. She ended up coming back and telling me I could sit in the waiting area and my rental would be there in about 15 minutes. She did a great job improvising and making up for the problems. But unfortunately, I ended up waiting about 45 minutes for my rental to arrive. The next day when my car was ready, Laurie was the one to call and tell me. I was kind of surprised whe she didn't even apologize for the problems. More
I have had serveral experiences with Hall Honda. Each visit, we are greeted in a courteous, professional manner without the feeling of the salesperson being to "pushy." While visiting Apirl 5, 2011 for routine maintenance; oil change, alignment and tire rotation I was unpleasantly surprised of the cost of a basic synthetic oil change of $38.95. The average oil change not only city but state wide is roughly $26.00. Further disapppointing is the fact that you no longer give a discount to Seniors, AAA or military. The purpose of this email is to THANK a Hall Honda employee. This individual was thorough, yet to the point explaining maintenance taking place, queried the maintenance history ensuring if any upcoming maintenance could be done same day, informed me halfway through of findings and estimated the time until completion, all with a smile and a geniune appreciation for my business. It is very common to make a phone call inquiring why a customer's experience was negative. In this case I would highly encourage the General/Corporate Manager to personally phone this individual and commend him on a JOB WELL DONE! --Jay, services department, who took the 9:45am appt for the 09 Honda Accord EX/V6. I REALLY ENJOYED WORKING WITH HALL HONDA. JOHN CHRISTIAN WAS A GREAT HELP. HE CHECKED ON ME DURING THE WEEK WHILE GETTING MY AFFAIRS IN ORDER, JUST TO LET ME KNOW HE WAS STIL WORKING WITH ME. We originally came into the dealership to have a used car checked out from another car lot that our daughter wanted to purchase. We were passing time by looking at cars in the lot - one of the salesmen, Pap checked out from another car lot that our daughter wanted to purchase. We were passing time by looking at cars in the lot - one of the salesmen, Papa Seck, asked if we needed assistance. Explaining that our visit was just to have a used Honda Accord checked out for possible purchase, and upon hearing the details of the car & price we were going to pay, he said, "I can beat that!" He showed us a just traded in '07 Honda Civic EX which my daughter fell in love with, but was just a bit above her desired price range. We told him we had to talk about it & needed to wait for the inspection on the other car to be completed anyway - so would be back after getting coffee. Papa took the time to walk over to the Starbucks, where we told him we would be, just to tell us he had found another car that might meet our needs and was less expensive (WOW!!!) He understood that our daughter (19 yr old college student) was paying for the car herself - it was not a gift from Mom & Dad, and that her money was tight. It was clear that he truly wanted to help us rather than get as much money as he could. Which is VERY appreciated in these tough economic times! As it turned out, the used car we brought in to be checked was a complete lemon and needed $3200 worth of work! The Honda mechanics that checked it were VERY thorough and took my husband into the service area to show him all the problems they found. Long story short, my daughter ended up buying the first car Papa showed her - the 2007 Civic EX. He knew she would be driving up & back to Nashville, TN from Virginia Beach, VA and stressed the safety features & safety record of the Civic. This made us very comfortable (as parents) and my daughter comfortable with the amount of money she would be spending on a "reliable" car! Our deal was closed late in the day and the car had just been traded in the night before. The only thing we feel that could have been handled better was the "detailing" of the car. We felt it could have been cleaner upon delivery. When we expressed our thoughts on this to Papa, he immediately remedied the situation by offering money off the price of the car to cover us having it cleaned again. This was PERFECT for us. Our daughter wanted to drive off the lot with her new car that night - not wait until the next day so it could be cleaned again. Everything other aspect of our encounter with Hall Honda was fantastic. Everyone we dealt with was happy, pleasant and helpful. My daughter was thrilled to have her photo taken with her new car for Hall Autos Facebook page. I even posted our own video and picture on their page. It was a very satisfying experience! More

She called me, several times without giving up, until we were able to talk abou enough good things about Hall Honda's service manager, Carrie Miles. As a newly single woman who truly does know very little about cars, finding a mechanic that I can trust and depend on with honesty and integrity has become very important to me. J. Horst at Hall Honda in Virginia Beach has exemplified such authentic integrity! Although the price of fixing my 1995 Honda Accord is proving not to be worth it, Mr. Horst has done an outstanding job of helping me understand my car, how it operates, and why possibly a new car would be in my better interest at a far more affordable and long-term rational investment. His clear dedication to excellent customer service has allowed me to openly receive his professional opinion about my personal best automotive interests and I sincerely appreciate him and his team for their care and committment. I purchased my vehicle 4 years ago and I am a very pleased customer. When I purchased my vehicle, I received a great deal, and not only that but I also received "red carpet" treatment as if my vehicle pleased customer. A great customer service is why I drive approximately 90 miles roundtrip to receive regular maintenance. I could have gone to First Team, which was only 20 minutes from my residence, but the service could not match Hall Honda. In fact, I referred my roommate, and the next month,she purchased her vehicle there as well. For anyone looking for a great deal on a car and quality service, I recommend Hall Honda where every visit is a "red carpet" event. More
