I change vehicles roughly once every two years and assist countless friends and family members in purchasing/selling their vehicles. I reluctantly write this review because I frankly disagree with most of th countless friends and family members in purchasing/selling their vehicles. I reluctantly write this review because I frankly disagree with most of these reviews and believe many consumers mistake friendliness with honesty. I called on a Tuesday night to confirm the availability, price and additional fees for a certain vehicle. It was made abundantly clear to me that the only additional fees or accessories Hendrick tacks on are the usual (tax, title, plates) and their $749 doc fee. I arrived the next morning and sought a test drive. The salesman (Khalid) found the vehicle and I took a short test drive because I knew I was ready to purchase. When Khalid found his sales manager (Adam) I clearly heard them discussing how they "couldn't sell the vehicle." They continued to talk for roughly 5 minutes and then came over with no sales order. Adam explained some roundabout story how the 'deal wasn't done' in reference to the previous owner trading it in. Why would the vehicle be listed on both Hendrick's website, Cars.com, TrueCar, among other websites, if the deal 'wasn't done'? Despite this obvious BS story, Khalid insisted that Adam was a Marine (quite honorable), he gets deals done, he's not going to let two deals slip away, etc. I was sent away around 10am with no sales order and a promise that someone would reach out to me before 6pm, and if not, Adam gave me his card and told me to call his cell. At this point, the listing was taken off the website as promised, which lead me to believe they might actually follow through here. Of course I received no callback throughout the day, was sent to Adam's voicemail at 6:30pm, and haven't received a call back. Around 7pm, I noticed the car was re-listed for $6.6K more than originally! I called the dealership and discovered Khalid was still there, but had no answer for the new listing, why I didn't received a call, and insisted I come in Friday morning to make a deal. Mind you, this is Wednesday still. Dealerships make deals in hours, not days. This was extremely fishy, but I decided I would waste more time and take the trip back up there. When I arrived, the sales order was prepared and ready for me to sign...with the new price ($6.6K increase) and a $1,995 GPS tracking system added as an accessory that I cannot remove from the deal! (Thanks for the heads up, Khalid and Grace). After some back and forth with different sales manager, the 'best' deal they could give me was $2K off the OTD price. To recap, I was told on the phone prior to visiting and a TrueCar certificate for just over $33K before taxes and fees. When I came back on Friday, the OTD price was almost $44K and the 'best' deal was just below $42K. Fantastic experience. Good thing savvy consumers have honorable dealers like Koons and Ourisman in the area. More

First and foremost, the car was extremely overpriced-wanting to sell me an old and beat up car for over $7 grand after taxes. I was able to talk them down significantly after much debate and headache. Secondly, I told them the car needed a new ignition when the key would not come out of the ignition. First I was told, there is nothing wrong with it, it just cant be parked at an incline, then- oh the wheel just needs to be straight, then it just needs to be lubricated. I was completely disgusted and to be quite frank I knew I was being played like a fool. I am not dumb and I did not appreciate being treated as such. The car does IN FACT need a new ignition, as I told them. I was also told the car could be delivered to me- in which it wasn’t and I had to go out of my way and find a stranger to help me because my husband is currently overseas on military orders. I will never recommend this dealership. It was slimy and sneaky. I was being lied to and taken advantage of and as a woman, I can tell you that business like that have no place in society any longer.
