My attempted purchase with this dealer was without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. I wanted to purchase a Maverick hybrid. I knew they were in demand and there would be a doubt the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. I wanted to purchase a Maverick hybrid. I knew they were in demand and there would be a wait so I placed an order on Nov 1, 2024 and didn't expect it to arrive until Spring 2025. I received a confirmation email from Ford that an order was placed but no specific information about the order was included. I did not receive any further communication from Ford or the dealership regarding the order but I followed up with the dealership a couple of times to make sure things were on track. They said they checked with Ford and the order was fine with no delays due to parts or other issues. I also tried calling Ford directly to make sure the order was in their system but they told me I had to contact the dealer. After 7 months of waiting, the vehicle finally arrived however it did not have the options on it that I ordered. One specific option was critical, the 4K tow package, which includes an aux transmission cooler that cannot easily be added after the fact. So after waiting 7 months I did not have a vehicle and I had just sold my previous vehicle. The worst part about this whole experience is how Heritage handled the whole situation. The first reaction was to point the finger at Ford. They made different claims: that they placed the order correctly and Ford just built the vehicle incorrectly; that Ford sometimes just configures the vehicle differently to avoid delays and doesn't inform the dealer; that Ford just ran out of parts for the options. Obviously I have no way of knowing what the truth is, but none of their claims seem credible. When a customer places an order with specific options, why would Ford just deliver a different vehicle and expect a customer to accept it after waiting more than half a year! The most likely scenario is that Heritage incorrectly submitted the order and in the 7 months of waiting never once checked to verify the order was correct. Things got worse from here. No matter who was at fault, Heritage is supposed to be Ford's representative. After deflecting blame, they offered not even the slightest accommodation to help me. Absurdly, they said I could purchase this vehicle, place another order for the correct vehicle, wait another 6+ months, and then trade this one in when the new/correct vehicle arrived. They had the audacity to try to tell me this was a good deal they were offering me - a deal where, after taking the depreciation on the trade, I would end up likely paying thousands of dollars more for the vehicle I needed because of either Heritage's or Ford's error. I even agreed to place the order again and asked them for a loaner vehicle but they refused. In the end, it was clear they knew they could sell the incorrectly ordered vehicle to someone else and they could not care less about doing the right thing by their customer. Avoid this dealership at all cost! They clearly don't care about their customers. More

Let me preface this review by saying I have been in the Chittenden County market for 30 years and have had some very poor experiences at dealerships. Both the Sales Rep (Ryan Fish) and the Finance Manager (Theresa Moss) were an absolute pleasure to work with and operated with MY best interests in mind, which was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. The level of knowledge, professionalism and customer service was top notch and both Ryan and Theresa were everything I could have wanted in sales/finance consultants. On my next vehicle purchase I will START by reaching out to these two professionals for their support and service. To the Management of Heritage: It would be in your best interests to keep these two employees happy, as they are stellar representatives and add great strength to the Heritage Brand! More
