My Review Of Honda of Salem:
Ugh. Contacted the dealership to learn more about their Odyssey. We wanted to test drive the car, so I got a phone call from the Internet dealer who arranged for us to come in that morning for a test drive. Unfortunately, they had only 2 on the lot. And they had just arrived that holiday morning. So the guy we were to meet didn't have the keys and pretty much couldn't get the keys. We left thinking that they should have given us more information before we made the trek to the lot. Frustrating. A little more openness and forthrightness would have been appreciated.
It was my one and only trip to the lot. Won't ever return.
Since posting my review, I have been contacted by one of the local managers. I was pleased that he took the time to listen to my experience and sincerely apologized for all that happened. I *can* understand that it was Labor Day weekend, so things weren't exactly normal for them, and poor Jeremy was flustered by the whole situation (keys were locked in Service). So perhaps it was more an accumulation of unusual events that led to a poor experience on my part. Probably under different circumstances, things would be much different. Upon this reflection and the personal attention given to me by the manager, I've amended my rating. Probably my experience was a freak experience, and even at that, I've received the personal attention of the manager and a sincere apology along with their utmost desire to make things right. They've shown me that their customers do matter to them.
