My Review Of Honda of Salem:

Well, I must say that my used car buying experience was an extraordinary one. The entire process was very "simple" and very painless. I think knowing exactly what to expect at my level was important. Normally dealerships, salesman etc make me very anxious and nervous but not today. The entire experience was a positive one indeed. Jon Hansen never once lied to me, and nor did he lead me to believe something could come true if really he didn't in fact believe that it could be a "true" reality. Let me tell you I viewed what they had available on their used inventory lot, test drove two vehicles and am now driving an 2010 Honda Insight and I love it and 43-51MPG on the highway who wouldn't? This vehicle has perks, the look, and it's clean, and very dependable. I don't think my experience could have gone any smoother if I had gone any where else except Salem Honda. Thanks Jon Hansen and thanks to the Finance manager as well. I'll definitely recommend Salem Honda to anyone whom is looking for a trouble, and stress free experience. Thanks guys.... Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas to me....

Honda of Salem turns the phrase "honest car dealer" into a true statement and not an oxymoron. Warm, pleasant staff that kept a straight-up, honest demeanor throughout and altogether reasonable, pleasant car buying experience. Worth the drive from Portland -- expand your search away from Tonkin/Dick Hannah and you won't be sorry to end up at O'Brien Auto Group. New customer for life here.

My Review Of Honda of Salem:

I took my Accord in for some warranty work and was very pleased with the experience.Trevor Spencer was the technician that worked on my car and he was very thorough in his inspection of it. He pointed out a few issues I wasn't even aware existed. The repairs were done ahead of schedule so I was only without my car for a short period of time. I would recommend this dealership for service work.

My Review Of Honda of Salem:

I just bought my new 2013 Honda CRV from this dealer last Saturday, using Costco Auto Buying Program, best price, wonderful staff. They even gave me a loaner car that I used while waiting from my car from the factory. The price they gave me was the Costco price which helped. They made car buying a pleasant experience. No one was pushy, and I was not pressured. Best of all, I got the car I wanted.

Pushy salesman that gave me attitude on the phone. They seemed to not readily know what vehicles they had in inventory or on order,and wanted to get us there do show us things we didn't want.

Service could not have been better. Shawn had me in at the time I requested and with the write up guy meeting me at the door, we were ready to move right on to the customer rest area, for coffee and daily paper. Very pleasent experance, and the car was washed and ready well within time frame.

I just picked up my new CR-V a three days ago and am thrilled with it! Jim Mally was our salesman and he took very good care of us explaining all the details of our new car. I appreciate the time he took and also how he kept us in the loop until our car arrived. This is our first brand new car in many years and we are looking forward to lots of fun adventures in our new Honda!

All of the staff that my husband and I worked with at Salem Honda was exceptional! They went above and beyond to explain everything each step of the way. It was our first time buying since we have been married and we both felt very confident that they were extremely fair. They walked us through each step of the process. My Review Of Honda of Salem:

Ugh. Contacted the dealership to learn more about their Odyssey. We wanted to test drive the car, so I got a phone call from the Internet dealer who arranged for us to come in that morning for a test drive. Unfortunately, they had only 2 on the lot. And they had just arrived that holiday morning. So the guy we were to meet didn't have the keys and pretty much couldn't get the keys. We left thinking that they should have given us more information before we made the trek to the lot. Frustrating. A little more openness and forthrightness would have been appreciated.

It was my one and only trip to the lot. Won't ever return.


-----------------Addendum--------------------

Since posting my review, I have been contacted by one of the local managers. I was pleased that he took the time to listen to my experience and sincerely apologized for all that happened. I *can* understand that it was Labor Day weekend, so things weren't exactly normal for them, and poor Jeremy was flustered by the whole situation (keys were locked in Service). So perhaps it was more an accumulation of unusual events that led to a poor experience on my part. Probably under different circumstances, things would be much different. Upon this reflection and the personal attention given to me by the manager, I've amended my rating. Probably my experience was a freak experience, and even at that, I've received the personal attention of the manager and a sincere apology along with their utmost desire to make things right. They've shown me that their customers do matter to them.
