Luke, the gentleman who helped me find a car was very nice. I have purchased my past two cars from Honda Serramonte with cash. This time I had a very uncomfortable situation. Considering that I’ve been a long time customer and always paid with cash, I assumed that there would be no problem. Unfortunately, there was. They would not accept my check, I was forced to go to a bank just before closing to get a cashiers check. That’s my first complaint. When I went through the final process of delivering the check, the gentleman who handled it had no way about him. He handed me papers without explaining what they were and asked me to sign here and initial there , I could’ve been signing my life away. He seemed to be in a big rush to get rid of me. I did not appreciate this treatment so in the future, I may consider going to a different dealership. More

What I thought was a great experience turned into the worst experience the next day. I reached out to this dealer to see if they participated in clean cars for all program. Which they said they do. I sent my award letter to be reviewed to be sure it was acceptable. The letter had sac metro air district mentioned along with clean cars for all program. I was advised they could accept this. I drove 2 hours from Sacramento to San Francisco in heavy traffic. I purchased the car with this grant and some money of my own. The next day, I got a call from clean cars for all case worker saying they could not honor the grant. I was told I need to give the car back and come out of my pocket an additional $9,500 to keep the car. I feel this is a huge inconvenience to me and quite frankly unfair. If I ask if a company takes a grant. They reviewed the letter, tell me yes… sign paper work that says it’s good… then turn around and tell I cannot use it? The sales manager is supposed to be the expert in what programs are acceptable. I believe that corporate should honor the agreement. This is not my mistake. Had they said they did not take this, because it was Sac Air District, I never would have driven out there to get the car. I am hoping someone can make this right. Currently the whole situation has me stressed. God forbid I would have already taken my old car to be destroyed . More
