My Review of Ira Toyota/Scion of Danvers:
We were looking for a used 4Runner, and had a price point in mind. Mark Aubuchon showed us a few that he had, but none fit the bill (so to speak). We returned several days later, and lo and behold, one of them was a "Manager's Special" -- a significant savings off the original. We negotiated with Mark -- a very easy negotiation, we didn't have to talk to any tough-sales-managers -- and ended up very happy with the deal. Beyond that, Mark personally worked very hard to accommodate some special requests, finding matching parts of some broken items, calling third-party vendors, and checking up on our satisfaction twice so far.
The only negative thing I have to say about the dealer is that it requires its sales people to interview any prospective client in depth (at least a 10-15 minute procedure, complete with paperwork) about their needs and even their financing plans, even if they come in with a particular vehicle model in mind. This apparently must be done before they show any vehicles. We went through the procedure first in the used car department, then again in the new car department. It was unnecessarily time-consuming and a little irritating.
At any rate, Mark is very knowledgable about the vehicles, appearing to be other employees' go-to guy for information. He is very easy-going, no pressure, super accommodating. He truly wants his customers to be happy. We feel as if we got a great car at a great price, and that Mark was looking out for us. Thanks, Mark!
