AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP; They have very poor ethics in my opinion! They lied about the extended service contracts. They told me that I would get a loaner car if I had to have a repair done, but that was opinion! They lied about the extended service contracts. They told me that I would get a loaner car if I had to have a repair done, but that was a lie! There's only three loaner cars available in the first place (as told to me by several mechanics), the salesman said the mechanics and shop are a separate entity and he couldn't tell them what to do, and I didn't get a loaner car. I had to rent a car for seven days -at a cost of over $750- while I got two tires fixed. The rental cost more than the warranty paid for! There was a delay getting the tires, but a local shop already had the tired in stock. I could have saved a lot of money by NOT buying the extended warranty and getting it fixed by a local shop. If you already bought the extended warranty, you can cancel it! Write a letter to the dealership stating your intent to cancel the contract, note the date and mileage in your cancellation request, include a copy of the contract, and that's it! The cancellation policy is in the contract. It is my opinion that Schmitt Chevrolet in O'Fallon will say anything to make a sale, including blatant lies. I think this dealership has a serious ethics problem in regards to business, and it goes well beyond the stereotype of a car dealership. This dealership makes ALL car dealerships looks bad. More
