My Review of James Toyota Scion:
First of all, do yourself a BIG favor and stay away from this place. don't take my word for it, call the nj dept of consumer affairs, the better business bureau and ask around. They are notorious for making deals with people, and printing up contracts with conflicting numbers. So I received an ad for a cheap oil change. I figured I would go ahead and use the coupon, and set up an appointment. When I get there, they tell me that camrys'(their flagship car) are 5$ more than other cars. Even though it was a 4 cylinder, not that he even asked me. 5$ isn't a big deal, but I refuse to tolerate bs like that. I don't care if it's 5$, or 500$. Besides, they didn't mention that on the ad. So I walked out. If that's the kind of crap the pull, imagine what they do on the sales floor.

My Review of James Toyota Scion:
I can't say enough about my car buying experience. Being a single mom, buying a high ticket item can be very scary. You never know who is going to take advantage of you. I heard that shopping on line for a car was the way to go; and indeed it is. Andrea was very professional and undterstood exaclty my situation. She reassured me that James Toyota was a fully disclosed dealership and there would be no game playing. From the Internet Manger, Sales Manager and event the General Manager; they were very honest and made my experience a real pleasure. I would recommend this dealer to anyone; near or far. It is worth the trip.

My Review of James Toyota Scion:
First, let me tell you that this is not a bogus story from a competitor to this dealer. I've waited roughly 20 days after my experience (not finished yet) to write this review.

I wanted a Toyota Camry 2008 model so I went to Route One Auto mall(Sansone). Their MSRP with fully loaded Camry was just over $32000 but I managed to bargain and get the price down to $ 31500 out of the door deal. I wanted a certain color but they didn't have it yet they agreed to locate on in 8 business days (which they did and I drive new Camry now). Since I had a car to trade, I went for more shopping with that number in my mind ($31500). Since James Toyota was the preferred dealer on a famous automotive web site, I drove about 40 miles to Flemington after initial appointment. They were very friendly met the sales person who was very friendly and we sat down after a test ride. Their price (MSRP) for the same car I wanted with all the options reached around $ 33000 but when I told them about the number I got from the other dealer they agreed to give me the vehicle for $31000.00 (out of the door not MSRP). So I put down a deposit of $500 which they immediately rang. I also got the number for the car I had yet I didn't take it with me to show them. I had to go to the other dealership to cancel the order I had so I went there the next day and they matched James Toyota number but gave a better deal for my car. I again took my car to James Toyota to get the actual trade in value and they didn't beat the previous one. So I decided to go with Route One Auto mall. I called the sales person and informed the decision and then he showed the true colors. He was quite dismissive and unfriendly. I asked him to credit $500 they charged as deposit and sent a mail too. Now for last two weeks or so I keep calling them for my deposit yet they haven't credited it. They keep repeating that they would credit. I even spoke to the supervisor of sales but no result. I'm glad now that I went with route 1 Auto mall instead of James Toyota after their treatment. I still need to get my $500 back.

My Review of James Toyota Scion:
Before buying do yourself a favor and call the NJ Dept. of Consumer Affairs @ 973-504-6200 and see if this dealer has any complaints filed against them. If you do decide to buy then please read the contract BEFORE signing any paperwork and check the numbers written in the contract against the numbers you agreed to. I personally would not recommend this dealer to anyone, friend or enemy.

My Review of James Toyota Scion:
Once vehicle was paid for costumer service went from B- to F. I then discovered missing equipment, took close to four weeks to resolve after many phone calls and unreturned calls. Temp registration expired leaving me unable to drive vehicle. Charged me almost triple for Reg. & Title and took three weeks to refund overcharge. I had to tell them that they overcharged me after finding out from the state how much I should have been charged after they told me that my plates were being held because I owed them an additional $50. Would never buy from them again or recommend them to anyone. After owning a BMW, Lexus, Audi, Nissan, Acura, I was amazed at how bad Toyota was at customer service.
