Him and his used car manager (Aaron) wrote down an offer for $6k after inspectin In Nov 2018 I stopped by to see Kevin (sales Rep) to sell my vehicle. Him and his used car manager (Aaron) wrote down an offer for $6k after inspecting my vehicle. He said to call him if I get a higher offer. Couple weeks later I called back to set up a follow up appointment and spoke with Aaron regarding the deal and he assured me he can do better than his original offer and he’ll write me a check. We set up a meeting for a couple of days later. The day of the appointment, Aaron and Kevin played the typical used car sales man game. After 20 minutes of waiting past our scheduled appointment, and by the way no one was in Aaron’s office (the dealership was nearly empty) he comes out with with a grin and says he found my vehicle online in similar condition and mileage much cheaper so now his offer is $5k. I asked him to show me where he found these vehicles, He claimed he had him up on his computer. We stepped into his office and he was Immediately caught in a lie, he didn’t have the cars he claimed to have found online. Shocks. Instead he pulled up a generic car value estimate and started entering basic generalized vehicle information for auction values. He had no cars to show to justify the sudden withdrawal on the offer, obvious form of bait and switch. From there it was the typical lip service about how he talked to his VP, etc. Do not recommend doing business with them. They don’t stand by their offers. Hopefully this review helps others and serves as a warning to how Aaron (used car manager) does business at Ganley Nissan in mayfield heights. Don’t get manipulated and fall for this classic example of bait and switch. More
Caution Deceptive Trade Practices Shortly after purchasing a used 2014 altima from another dealer, the car began to have ignition problems (not Ganley’s fault, although the car was ori Shortly after purchasing a used 2014 altima from another dealer, the car began to have ignition problems (not Ganley’s fault, although the car was originally from that location). However, after bringing the vehicle into Ganley Nissan Mayfield to diagnose, I was told by Service Manager Leo Beer, Jr. and his mechanic, that it was caused by “bad gas” and my manufacturer’s warranty was now void. On the receipt the mechanic indicated he “removed and wiped the spark plugs.” After following all their recommendations, as I relied on their diagnosis, my car failed to start again while I was out of town. My only option was to due a spark plug change on the fly. While removing my plugs I noticed they were COVERED in oil. This was only a few days after the “bad gas” diagnosis. There is NO WAY a trained mechanic could EVER mistake oil on the spark plugs for “bad gas.” Outraged, I returned to Ganley Nissan Mayfield and confronted Mr. Beer with the oil covered spark plugs AND his mechanic’s statement that he had wiped the plugs. Mr. Beer took the oil covered plugs from me, smelled them, and said, “smells like bad gas to me.” I have never been so offended. I then immediately brought my car to Bedford Nissan for a diagnosis. They diagnosed a cracked block and warranty replaced the entire engine. Bedford Nissan was equally outraged and provided great service and I highly recommend them. Later, I returned to Ganley Nissan Mayfield and requested from Mr. Beer a refund for my “misdiagnosis.” He refused to refund my money following a personal visit AND an email. Eventually, I contacted the Attorney General and was promptly refunded my money. More

I have had my car for about a month, and Dan still contacts me to see how things are going and if I have any questions. That is customer service at its best! I don't recommend this dealership. I purchased a used car from Ganley Nissan, the buying experience was alright, sale guy was okay. However, I started having issues with the HVAC system I purchased a used car from Ganley Nissan, the buying experience was alright, sale guy was okay. However, I started having issues with the HVAC system in the car shortly after the sale. Also I found out a week or so after buying the car that the car had two different tires on the rear with different load/speed rating as well as different martials, which most mechanics don't recommend doing for safety reasons. The quality of there used car inspections, maintenance, and cleaning/detailing is very poor. Before I purchased the car, I put a deposit down to hold the car intill I was able to test drive it. That money was never applied to the purchase of the car. I contacted the dealer a few times about and was given the impression that the money will be returned to me. I have yet to see that deposit money returned and it's a month since I purchased the car. Between the deposit money not being returned and having $1000+ in repairs with in the first month of ownership on a two year old car, I'm a very unhappy customer. More
