I was very satisfied with my recent visit to the Service Dept. at Poulin in Rochester. My 1999 Jeep did not pass inspection, and I was not sure what to do since I was not able to afford the repairs or the p Dept. at Poulin in Rochester. My 1999 Jeep did not pass inspection, and I was not sure what to do since I was not able to afford the repairs or the purchase of a new (used) vehicle. The Service manager and customer service person communicated with me and worked with me, and I did have the repairs done. I am now very glad to report that my Jeep is on the road again, and I feel good about driving it. I love my Jeep Cherokee, and I was not ready to give it up. I need a 4WD vehicle, and my Jeep has been an excellent vehicle for me. Also, I like my interior and sound system. I listed 'Price' as good vs. great, since money is always an issue that is not pleasant or easy. I highly recommend Poulin, and I have always bought my Jeeps and vans at Poulin. Thank you! I brought my vehicle in for an inspection, oil change, alignment, tire rotation, exhaust manifold bolt broken, leak in front differential. 3/28/12 Scaott from service called to give me the news of all th alignment, tire rotation, exhaust manifold bolt broken, leak in front differential. 3/28/12 Scaott from service called to give me the news of all that was wrong with my vehicle. The list follows: 1. Rear wiper not clearing window. Won't pass insp. with this. 2. Exhaust clamp broken. Exhaust leak. Won't pass insp. with this. 3. Upper/lower ball joints. Can't align, won't pass insp. with this. 4. Leaking power steering pump. Won't pass insp. with this. (I've never added fluid) 5. Exhaust manifold bolts broken both sides. Won't pass insp. with this. Total bill for mentioned work would be around $2300.00 I declined having any of the work done because it all seemed a bit excessive and I decided to seek another opinion. I do alot of my own work, plus I have the vehicle maintained regularly. The following morning I took the vehicle to a local front end shop to check the front end and align if able. (Vehicle had new tires 10000 miles before with no front end issues noted). Vehicle was aligned and no problems were identified with the ball joints. Also, I had them check P/S pump and exhaust clamps. No broken exhaust clamps. No leak from P/S pump. Next, I took the vehicle to an inspection station/garage for exhaust manifold bolt repair and inspection. This Garage identified that the vehicle had failed an inspection the previous day and proceeded with the requested work. Exhaust manifold had 1 broken bolt on one side only and was repaired at far less than the $920. quote from Poulin. Rear wiper was lubed and works fine. I was advised this is not a failable item. No broken clamps or leaks found on the exhaust. Power steering pump in good working order with no leaks. Front end tight with no worn ball joints. Vehicle passed NH State inspection. More
