Less than 2 months ago, I purchased a 2008 Cadillac xxx from King Richard's Auto. I've heard in the past that King Richard's wasn't a good dealership from numerous people on separate occasions. These peopl from King Richard's Auto. I've heard in the past that King Richard's wasn't a good dealership from numerous people on separate occasions. These people I am referring to don't know each other but are familiar with the dealership in one way or another. I WENT THERE FOR THE CAR, not for the dealership! I had been eyeing these Caddy's for a while. While I test drove the vehicle, everything appeared to be in working order. The car drove beautifully. However, I tried to step on the gas a little and the sales lady told me she would let me know where there was a good area for that. That time never came. She directed me through the whole test drive. Got back to the dealership and negotiated the price. 4 hours later into the whole process, price didn't budge. They responded that they mark their cars low on the internet(where I originally found the car) in order to bring customers in. They leave no room for negotiation. The car was actually a grand more in person. Long story short, I ended up buying the car. No gas, no change in fluids. From oil to windshield wiper fluid, nothing was done to the car. That night I noticed the buttons in the car don't light up. Wasn't the fuse, so I made an appointment. Before the appointment, noticed that the car would buck on the highway@2000 rpm. Engine light flashing during all this, but didn't stay on. Brought it to AUTOZONE, they ran it, 2 cylinders were misfiring. Needs a tune up. I mentioned this to them, they said they would take a look. They had the car for 3 days. They argued with me about what time to bring it in. I brought it in at 830am like they said, they didn't start to even look at it till the next day. I checked. Not to mention, every person in that dealership is rude, with bad attitudes. The owner of the dealership runs the service department and was the one who made the appointment. When I got the car back, the lights in the buttons did work. Got on the highway, car was still bucking, but this time the engine light stayed on. I specifically asked the owner of the dealership if they did the tune up. He and the mechanic said yes, that it was all done. Brought it to AUTOZONE again to check the light, same thing. THEY LIED. All they did was delete the code from the system that triggered the engine light and said they fixed it. Not the first lie they told. They told me to bring the car in again and that they would take a look. They also mentioned on that call that they don't cover the parts for the tune up, straight from the owner's mouth. I told them "then never mind, rather you not touch my car." Coil springs alone cost $780. King Richard did this all under the impression that I would buy an additional vehicle (Jeep Commander) for my mother. I told them I would buy the Jeep if everything with this one goes okay. Obviously, I didn't end up buying the Jeep from them. And I will never buy another car off of them again. More

A must read for anyone car shopping....To say I am really frustrated right now is minimizing how angry I am. My husband and daughter went car shopping and bought a Durango at King Richards Auto Center. Less frustrated right now is minimizing how angry I am. My husband and daughter went car shopping and bought a Durango at King Richards Auto Center. Less than TWO weeks later, Sara and my four grandchildren are stuck on the side of the road with a vehicle that has NO STEERING! And King Richards says, "OH WELL. We will look at it but you figure out how to get the car here!" How about FOUR YOUNG CHILDREN and a single mom stuck on a busy road. What, are they supposed to PUSH it there? What about how is this NOT ROAD WORTHY car going to get there, and why would a NOT ROAD WORTHY car be sold in the first place. Waiting for the owner to call me back....TO BE CONTINUED Cannot believe that we would have bought a car without checking out the dealership first. ABSOLUTELY the worse experience! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE Service. Once they have your $$$ you are left with a questionable vehicle and an OH WELL attitude from King Richards. How does a company do this to a struggling, single mom with four kids More
My son purchased a 2009 Mazda three from King Richards auto in Rhode Island. When the car was delivered to him the tire pressure light was on. They told him to bring the car back the next day and they'd f auto in Rhode Island. When the car was delivered to him the tire pressure light was on. They told him to bring the car back the next day and they'd fix it for him. Upon arrival the next day they told us they couldn't help us because we didn't have an appointment. We had driven 28 miles to get there and I complained about the gas involved in coming back and they said when we came back they'd give us some gas. We made the appointment and brought the car back but no one put any gas in it. Shortly before the 30 day warranty was up the tire light went on again. My son called to make an appointment during regular business hours but no one answered. He left a message but no one returned the call. Shortly after that the check engine light went on and we brought it our mechanic to check out. He told us that the tire pressure light had a bad sensor and that the check engine light was caused by a faulty gas cap. My son, who was leaving on an extended trip the next day called King Richards and left a message and again no one called back. He called again later that day and said if he didn't get a return call within a couple of hours our mechanic would have to fix it before his trip the next day and they'd have to pay for it. No one ever called back so he had the repair done. He brought the bill to the dealership and the owner wasn't there. One of the sales people took the bill, copied it and said they would put it on Richards desk. We never heard from them. So I called everyday until I got hold of the owner who told me he'd never received a bill so I faxed it to him. He called me back and said they wouldn't pay for the entire repair but that they would reimburse some of it. I asked when I'd receive a check and he said they'd cut one that very day. A few days later a check arrived in the mail, made out to my husband, who has been in Africa for months and the amount of the check was $0.00! When I called back I said I wanted the money for the entire bill and they've not sent anything. I've called and left three messages and haven't received a call back or a new check. The total amount of the repair was $272.53. The car was still under warrantee so both items should be paid. When I first spoke to Richard I said I'd just take the money for the tire repair but now I believe both issues should have been taken care of by them, especially after receiving a check made out to someone that had nothing to do with the purchase and for $0.00. If they had returned any of my sons called before he had to leave town with the vehicle we could have worked something out. More
They meet the stereotype of bad used car dealers. The changed the price, played down the check engine light, hid things in fine print, and pretended that everything was fine when it obviously wasn't. Th changed the price, played down the check engine light, hid things in fine print, and pretended that everything was fine when it obviously wasn't. They even tried to get me to use "their" neighborhood mechanic for a vehicle inspection. I would never recommend them to anyone. More

Underhanded sales techniques, missing paperwork, unexplained parts of the contract, you can't test drive off the lot they have to drive off then park then you can drive, inexperienced sales people, unexplained parts of the contract, you can't test drive off the lot they have to drive off then park then you can drive, inexperienced sales people, and some salesmen had no license More
Never buy from this place. I recently had to buy a car because my old one died and I needed to replace it quick. I admitted went in a bit hastily and bought a car here. When I bought it the blower fan w because my old one died and I needed to replace it quick. I admitted went in a bit hastily and bought a car here. When I bought it the blower fan was making a weird clicking sound which the dealer said they'd fix. Less than a week after I bought my car the check engine light was on. When I brought it in to fix the fan they "fixed" the gas cap, and for a week the check engine light came on again. So I brought it in again. They fixed it but refused to document that anything was wrong with the car so I don't have any proof that this car has been giving me problems. NEVER BUY FROM HERE! More
Beware, do not buy a car of this lot until you get it checked with your mechanic. They will NOT fix the problems after you buy the car, very diseatfull. I really hate used car salesman but this guy takes checked with your mechanic. They will NOT fix the problems after you buy the car, very diseatfull. I really hate used car salesman but this guy takes the cake. Wrong size tires, frame damage, broken hood, belts cracked, battery ready to go, rear brake rotor destroyed, wrong muffler system just to start. Please please please,if i can help one person out i will feel a whole lot better about my purchase.I baught the car because he said "he would take care of the problems". My daughter was graduating college and i had to rush, bad bad move. Just walk away from King Richard's Auto Center period. More
I went to this dealer based on a recommendation from my brother. I bought a 2004 Hyndai Santa Fe. The car handled poorly on the test drive and the brakes were gringing. It went right back to the lot. My sa brother. I bought a 2004 Hyndai Santa Fe. The car handled poorly on the test drive and the brakes were gringing. It went right back to the lot. My salesperson Bob assured me the car would be fixed upon my pick up on Friday, if I wanted it. I was told the vehicle would be readu the next day, but at 3:45 was that the back brakes abd tires were being replaced and I would need to wait until Saturday. I arrived an hour after my pick up time only to discover the car was still not ready. After an additional 1 hour wait I rece'd the key to the car and told the salesperson I needed to test drive it. Hwe agreed but the drive last 5 minutes because he needed to get back to more customers. The steering still did not feel right. I took it home and had ny boyfriend drive it to confirm and sure enough the fron end still was not right, I took it right back to the dealer and was tol I would need to wait to make arrangements to have it worked on. Thsi happened three times. I had just bought a car and had to get several rides to work in the first two weeks. The "brakes" were worked on 3 times 1 strut at a time was replaced and 1 ball joint. After I took it to my mechanic to conform it had issues. I was only given one key and the foloowing weekend realized the key only opened the drivers side door. I was told not my problem we only fix safety issues. And the $200.00 referral my brother was supposed to receive has been sitting on the "KIngs" desk for over two weeks waiting for a signature. I would advise anyone that is looking for a used car if at all possible go to a "REAL" dealer. More
