I had a premium maintenance plan which supposedly covered "everything". Well I went there for my 15000 mile service, and after the work was done, the guy shows me a big bill of $250, saying that I owe that m "everything". He said, well you should've told us earlier (translation: we're too busy/ignorant to read the screen that pops up in front of our face everytime you make a reservation which shows that you have a maintenance plan). Anyway, after about 20 minutes of arguing (I made sure other customers heard/saw exactly what was going on), the guy finally let up. A few days later I noticed that my car was wobbling, steering wheel was shaking too much. So, even after all the attitude, they still couldn't do the job properly. Anyway, I'll take the car in one more time to get them to fix the problem (which they created), and if they make a fuss then that's the end of my relationship with them. I'd rather drive to the Leesburg dealership than Tysons. More

We walked in- I am on crutches- and were greeted by a nice woman, only to be left standing at the door for 5 minutes and then passed off to an unknowledgeable "salesperson" whose shirt- not a uniform- wa nice woman, only to be left standing at the door for 5 minutes and then passed off to an unknowledgeable "salesperson" whose shirt- not a uniform- was half tucked in. He didn't even hold the door for me or wait for me to trek across the lot- in 95 degree weather. We were walked through the lot only to find that he had no keys to any RAVs we wanted to see, knew nothing about the RAV options or features, and spoke ina low mumble mouthed tone when he DID speak. He peeked thru windows to point out knobs and dials- WOW. He then took us inside to see another salesperson when we aked about options and packages, this gentleman didn't introduce himself, didn't pay attention to our request for a red REV, didn't seem interested in ALL in customer service or giving us what we wanted. We had to ask for a brochure, and were left sitting while he talked on the phone. He told "salesperson #1" to go get a car for us to test drive, and then he left. 5 minutes later, neither of them showed up again, so we took the brochure and left. No one at that dealership even knew we left! Lousiest service I had ever experienced- there is NO WAY I would consider this dealership for anything. I will tell everyone I know to steer clear- there are TOO many other choices to waste time at this poorly managed awful place. More

This is the worst dealership ever and the salesperson is not reliable at all. I was in the market for a new hybrid and unfortunately ended up in Koons Tyson. The salesperson ( Tom) claimed that he is the most knowledgable guy in Hybrid and is the number 1 sales person for Prius in USA. We put down 500$ for reservation of a Camry Hybrid fully loaded and he told us that it will be ready between 30 to 40 days and he even would pick me up from airport. After 40 days waiting and frequent calls and many lies I finally tlked to the manager to find out that I have to wait additional 4 to 6 MONTHS. Unreliable and not trustworthy. More

I went into this dealership about a month ago looking for a used CPO or new Toyota Camry. After wandering around the used car lot for about half an hour looking at their line of Camrys (the salemen saw me i a used CPO or new Toyota Camry. He was friendly, and I told him what my plans were. He showed me a number of CPO cars, one of which I was very interested in. However, it had a large scratch (which had been very poorly painted over) and a problem with the driver's seat, which he was unable to figure out (I later learned this was just the automatic lumbar adjustment, which he had no clue about!!). The car was priced only $1000 less than a new one and he offered no resolution to the gouge on the car, so I asked him about looking at a new one. He then disappeared!? As I wandered into the main showroom (not really a showroom - there are no cars in it), I was descended upon by other salesman. I explained my situation and started looking at new Camrys with one of them. Then, my original salesman reappears (must have been coffee break time!) and gets into an argument with the guy helping me. I finally tell both of them what I really want--either a really nice CPO car or a good deal on a new one. They promised to get back to me. Never heard another word from them even though I told them I was definitely going to buy a car in the next few weeks. Bottomline - if you want to put up with a lot of xx and hassles, you may get a good price on a car from Koon's. It depends on how much negotiating you want to do. If you want a longstanding relationship with a dealer with a strong customer service ethic who will treat you decently, go elsewhere. I've bought and had serviced two cars from Koon's dealerships, and they all treat cusotmers the same way--the sales and service departments are abysmal. If you are looking for good Toyota dealers, go to Bill Page in Falls Church or Alexandria Toyota. I ended up buying my Camry from Alexandria. More

The most excruciating experience of my life till date. Employees are extremely rude and patronizing. They are also very prone to telling untruths. They change their mind every 5 minutes and deny any previous deals and/or statements they made to you in the past. Ensure that you get everything in writing as they speak to you. Do have your car checked by a third party BEFORE paying. ASK! ASK! And ASK! Till you get an answer. They are very good at sidestepping the important issues. They offered warranties and I asked “what does it not cover?” I never got an answer till I was in the financial department. (The only cordial person by the way). I was yelled at, talked down to and called several names (indirectly) such as “simple-minded”, “racist”. Negotiating was no small feat. I felt I had been through the gates of xxxx and back. I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy. There were 2 of us, and we both felt the same way. I am still amazed at their attitude and decorum towards their clients. I observed how they interacted with other clients as well. They are demeaning, discourteous, uncouth. Their primary goal is selling a wrecked vehicle to who they feel is an ignorant and therefore dim-witted client. And this is how you will be treated. TAKE HEED. More

Those swindlers tried to sell me a car that they couldn't produce. They made a false promise that they could get me a Toyota Corolla fully loaded. I would've left where another dealership that had it, but they convinced me that they could create one. They had one with everything except a 6-CD in dash but promised it would be installed. After the deal, they ignored their promise although they admitted that they had made the promise (in writing). They sloppily installed a cheap disc changer that they claimed was worth $700 although online it was $120. It didn't connect to the current stereo, it had a controller that popped out of a hole drilled in the dash, and it connected via FM modulation (poor quality). In short, it was the cheap way out, all on a brand-new car. I would've settled for them taking it out and giving me $500 of the supposed $700 disc changed, which the customer relations manager(forgot her name) agreed. But the sales manager, Tony, mocked me for expectations of a brand new Corolla, implying it was a cheap car. This after he tried to lie to me that there was a problem with the trunk design that didn't allow for the in-dash head unit(????). Complete liars. I refused to pick up the car. The next day, when I asked to cancel the deal, their true colors came out when they thought I accepted the car, and basically told me to screw myself. Since I hadn't picked it up, I told them to keep it and give me my money back. With their foot in their mouths, they agreed but said it would require two weeks to issue a check. If it weren't for my bank rushing the stop payment, I would've had to wait for my $19K for who knows how long until they wanted to issue a check. So taking the advice of their sales manager, I realized it was "just a Corolla" and got a Civic which handles and drives better, not to mention has every option (nav, premium sound, etc). I didn't get that great of a deal on it because of the demand due to the model redesign, but I'm a lot happier giving my money to someone who appreciates it. Try Brown's Honda. They were straight-forward. My salesperson, Ash, didn't lie or exaggerate a single bit. He said I could probably work pretty hard and find a better deal, but the money I'd save, I would earn dealing with weasels and feel terrible for giving them my money. With the Koon's experience, he was definitely correct. More

Customer Service was great, Mike (I would give customer service a five if all I had to deal with was him) was quick to attend to whatever problem I had. Although the Used Car Manager, didn't give me KBB for my trade, (when I had even put it in Fair condition) they gave me more than 1000 less than what I originally wanted. I told the salesman that I wanted to take out the head unit ($400) and asked if they could get the speakers (upwards of $400) The used car manager was furious when I took my CD player (and I never did get my speakers...)and told me that if I didn't return either the factory head unit or the one I took out of the car than he was gonna pull the deal and I could return the car. The manager was very unfriendly, and did little to make me feel more comfortable with the deal. Fianace just continued to make me unhappy saying I could not get the interest rate I wanted and I am paying more than $50 more a month than I told the salesman I was able to. By the end of my visit, I just wanted to hurry up and go home, and not deal with some of these people anymore. And for those of you who read this and care, the person who posted below me "Aperdikis" is the General Manager to Koons Tysons Toyota. Is it fair to accept a biased opinion from a man who married into the Koons family and runs one of their dealerships? More

I already knew what kind of car I wanted when I entered the dealership, so I didn't need a salesperson per se. None-the-less, I was completely ignored until I said that I wanted to buy a car, at which poi the dealership, so I didn't need a salesperson per se. None-the-less, I was completely ignored until I said that I wanted to buy a car, at which point I was approached by a little man who stood behind the manager waiting hungrily for a sale while never saying a word to me. They made me give them $500 with the promise that my car was on it's way and would be here in 7-10 days. 10 days later, no car. I called, and they could not find the salesperson, Jose. They said "Oh, 7-10 days from when it's shipped, and it's still in New York." After this clearly upset me, they made up a ridiculous story about the website not being updated from last time I came in because of Labor Day, which had been a long time ago. I called and visited the dealership several times after that, and Jose (the weasely little man so anxious for a sale) never spoke to me once. So, 10 days after my 2nd promise of "7-10 days, I called and asked about the status of my car, as which which point an extremely rude sales manager told me he would call back, and never did. When I called back, he was so extremely rude that it left me fuming. Oh, and 30 days later, still no car and they have not given back the $500 that they claimed was just to reserve my car. NEVER EVER GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP! These people are greast little thieves who are delighted to take your money and then leave you with nothing. Next time I'm buying my car from the black market in Southeast D.C.; they would be much more honest, I'm sure. More
