My Review of Koons Tysons Toyota:
Friendly dealership with good selection of vehicles, however very dishonest. I was shown an invoice that showed the dealer cost, dealer options cost and freight charges to arrive at the overall dealer cost. I made a deal based on this cost and was given the "offer sheet". The offer sheet showed my agreed price, taxes, tags, freight, etc. to arrive at our final price. We agreed.

After later examining the sheet, we discovered the extra freight charge....they were double charging us for the same freight. When confronted about it, Kaveh, one of the sales managers "confessed" that double charging freight is a standard practice in the industry and is done for profit when deals are being made at just over invoice. If this is the way Koons Tysons Toyota does business...they won't get mine anymore. In fact, I will not set foot in any Koons dealership again.

If you go there....be very wary of what charges they are hitting you with. Make sure they only hit you with them once....and when the numbers don't add up on the invoice...make sure to get an explanation of what the "missing numbers" are. Plain and simple....they are just crooks there.

My Review of Koons Tysons Toyota:
When I signed the papers they didn't inform me I'm actually signing rent-a-car contract. 40 days later they voided the contract for sale and didn't leave me other option eccept to buy their car. They took my car and sold it without the title leaving me without any car and with a debt. I want to report it stolen and the Fairfax police said it's impossible to report it stolen. The only option I have now is to sue them and I don't have enough money to do it. Do you have any suggestions?

My Review of Koons Tysons Toyota:
I am only listing his country of origin (Iran) because the sales guy is the one who brought it up, repeatedly, when making an offensive comparison between how selling cattle was like selling his sisters off into marriage.

We were recently looking at SUVs, and this sales guy who was first helping us seemed OK and helpful at first...until my wife started asking questions. He didn't want to make eye contact with her in the first place and only wanted to deal with me, but my wife had more specific questions than I did, like about the standard features which we couldn't get a straight answer on.

He finally got exasperated with my wife's questions and said (paraphrasing): "Look, I'm from Iran. We know a lot about bartering, so selling cars is little different. It's like how we do in Iran, we barter livestock for daughters hand in marriage. There's no difference in trading cows or women."

Well, this didn't go over well with my wife, especially since the guy was smirking when he said it. Then he butted in when my wife and I started discussing something and said "You are not listening to your husband!!"

At this point, I told him I wanted to speak to his manager because he was being offensive. He disappeared FAST. His manager made the usual apologies but didn't seem sincere at all, because I told him he should be FIRED.

We told them their dealsership STINKS and got far better treatment at Chantilly Toyota.

today 03-23-08 SUNDAY EASTER DAY AROUND 12:00 TO 2:00 PM i am came to koon toyota in tysons virginia try to buy new camry XLE 4 CYLINDER for my dad but i have to deal with a sale manager so stubit that i have see before. I DONT KNOW WHY HE CAN RUN THAT BIG DEALER AND HOW MANY CAR HE CAN SALE A DAY I AM YOUR CUSTOMER FOR LONG TIME NOW I HAVE BUY MORE THEN 2 TOYOTA FORM TYSONS THIS SALE MANAGER I AM NOT RECOMENDATOIN TO ANY ONES TO BUY TOYOTA FORM HIM BECAUSE HIS DID NOT KNOW HOW TO SALE AND TAKE CARE CUSTOMER PLASE LOOK HOW MANY CAR DID HE CAN SALE SINCE HE CAME TO KOON TYSONS .

My Review of Koons Tysons Toyota:
Terrible in terms of being non-responsive, poor follow up, poor quality. Make you feel they are doing you a favor to fix a service bulletin. Every repair has needed to be redone. Ordered parts and didn't follow up for months to indicate they had arrived. And this is a new 2007 Camry Hybrid with every option.

My Review of Koons Tysons Toyota:
I went to Koons Tysons Toyota to buy out my lease. What a mistake! I was told i would be charged $500 for a "cost of doing business" fee. I was also told that if i did my buyout at ANY OTHER toyota dealership other than Koons, i would be charged sales tax. though another dealership was willing to charge me less for this mystery fee, i opted to go with Koons Tysons b/c i would not be charged sales tax. I was charged sales tax...and i was told that it would be refunded to me. Despite my arguements i was told this is how things are supposed to work. One month and another set of temp tags later, i inquired about my tax refund and after numerous calls, i was told that i shouldnt have been charged tax and that my loan paperwork needed to be redone. After about 5 more trips to this dealership and hours of time lost at work dealing with this, my new paperwork was processed. i then started receiving calls from collection departments saying my first loan was in default. i've been trying to get this fixed for 2 weeks with this dealership and everytime im told someone will call me they wont. i leave message after message and always seem to find that the person was on vacation. this dealership clearly doesnt seem to have any regard for their customer and their time. if they had done this paperwork right to begin with, i AND the dealership wouldnt be wasting so much time now. this situation has NOT been cleared up as of today. i have already filed complaints with BBB and the management of this dealership.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION regarding any sales at Koons Tysons Toyota.

I will, however, say that the service department has always been fantastic. at least one part of this company is doing something right!

My Review of Koons Tysons Toyota:
I had my own financing arranged, I made this clear from the start and had no desire to finance through them. The salesperson seemed alright with that but then later handed me a "Homeland Security Form" to make sure I wasn't on a list of some sort. Well this form was mislabeled and said "Toyota Credit Application" at the top. I don't appreciate that kind of tactic and in the DC area, they should know better than to try to pull a stunt like that...everybody is a fed here!

The finance manager was strictly business and barely greeted me. Had I not been in a pinch for a car, I would have gone anywhere else to buy my car.

My Review of Koons Tysons Toyota:
I took my Prius in for the 30,000 mile service, and it went ok, but a week later I realized that my front tire was low on air. At first, I thought, oh no biggie, that tire has a very slow leak after being repaired for a nail hole, so I often do this. Then I thought, wait, I just had this 30,000 mile service done last week. It should NOT be that low so quick. Surely, checking air pressure is one of the things they do, no? Yes, as a matter of fact it is on their list .... right along with tire balance and rotation. So, obviously, they did now of these as the tire was not only very low ... but in the same place (driver, front) where it was when I got the flat last year. Koons Tyson's Toyota sucks, don't go.

After agreeing to a price and signing when I went to pick up hte car, Walsh raised the price and then said he did not want to sell a car to me. There is something very wrong with this dealership and I recommend that no one go there.

My Review of Koons Tysons Toyota:
Bad customer service, bad technical knowledge about the cars they're supposed to sell, outrageous offer for my my trade-in car (almost 3 times lower than the lowest estimate provided by Kelley Blue Book !), waiting 1 1/2 hours to find out they don't even have a brochure or a pricing list for the car I wanted to buy, huge list of fees added to the cost of the car and they weren't able to explain most of them and finally, they didn't have the specific car I asked in inventory ( initially, they said differently), etc, etc.
Simply avoid them !
