My Review of Lexus of Portland:
It's hard for me to compare this experience with other service experiences because I dont have many. We had just bought a '94 SC300 and knew that it needed some work (timing belt). Thought it would be best to go to Lexus. They are expensive but its ok because I dont know anything about cars. For $278 worth of parts, the labor costed $906. Didnt seem all that reasonable. The loaner car was an '05 ES330. Boring as hell car even with a V6, and hella ugly. I'm not much of a Lexus person, but I do enjoy the IS, and SC. I have no idea how beneficial it was going to Lexus vs another auto service place.

My Review of Lexus of Portland:
I've owned many cars and dealt with many service departments (Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche included) this was my first Lexus (bought used from a private party) and this was my first visit for an oil change and an alignment. Now I know what all the hype is about and why Lexus has developed such a following, especially amongst the affluent who are used to being treated well.

Even though I had the cheapest $30K+ model, I was treated like I bought a $100K car. I was even offered a brand new RX330 "loaner" car for the few hours that my vehicle was in for service. I never even considered a Lexus SUV but enjoyed the 3 hours of driving it so much that I will most likely trade in my problematic X5 for it next year. Great sales strategy, make sure your current customers get a feel for the new models. Great hours for appointments and extremely efficient staff. I'm anticipating very few visits to the dealer given Lexus vehicles' track record, however I don't mind paying for top-notch service. This won't be my last Lexus.

My Review of Lexus of Portland:
They used to be fabulous, but service seems to be slipping. My tires wore out at 25,000 miles and they told me it was because I had been driving with the pressure too low. I had asked them twice on servcie appointments if they tires looked OK because they looked low to me. They added air once, but never mentioned the issue later - even when I requested rotations. Also, it now takes at least two weeks to get an appointment.
