(Lengthy review) Last summer, I had an engine misfire issue which caused my vehicle to shake violently while idling. Unaware of what the issue was initially, I took my car in to Lindsay’s service department to have them run some diagnostics, which they happily agreed to do. They told me that my engine needed new fuel injectors and offered to do the replacement service for me, which I agreed to have done. After the injector replacements were made, my vehicle was still misfiring. I asked the service department what the issue was, and they said they were unable to identify any root cause. I asked them if they could keep looking, and they agreed to do so. After about one month of “looking,” and “asking everyone they knew,” they were still unable to identify what the issue was, so I wound up taking my vehicle back. After taking my vehicle back, I noticed a slightly heightened level of shaking compared to when I first came in and was also unable to pick up speed anymore. I also noticed a large new scratch on my hood. I took my car to a certified restoration shop out of state to have it properly examined and diagnosed. After only three hours, the restoration mechanics were able to identify the root cause of the misfire and properly repair my engine. They noted that the Lindsay mechanic who worked on my vehicle not only installed incompatible fuel injectors, but also reconnected two spark plug wires backwards, thus leading to the increased level of shaking and decreased performance. Shortly after, I reached back out to Lindsay Chevrolet to request a refund for the incompatible parts they installed. They denied any accountability of course, and when I asked them to show me the catalog from their GM provider, I was sent a strangely formatted document that showed the part they installed was compatible with my vehicle’s make and model. I cross-referenced Lindsay’s information by visiting the official GM parts catalog website and found no compatibility readings whatsoever. Their mechanic also sent me a snarky e-mail response for discussing the findings from his quality of work. It is now noticeably clear that the document I was sent was fabricated. I submitted an official memorandum to GM HQ in Detroit, and they responded stating they were going to open an investigation. Roughly a week later, the GM representative regretted to inform me that nothing could be done to rectify the issue, and the case was closed. If you plan on visiting a Chevrolet dealership soon, avoid this one at all costs. The level of fraud here is unmatched, and I’ve visited plenty of dealerships across The Nation. This is the only dealership I’ve ever seen take as many active measures at avoiding accountability as they did: forgery, hiding, lying, and bullying their customers to name a few. I also witnessed an older couple yell at one of the service department employees for installing something backwards in their engine which left them without transportation for three days. NOTE TO LINDSAY CHEVROLET: Your customer service standards are impressively despicable. A customer should never have to reach out to corporate to have an issue properly addressed. The fact that this issue escalated as high as it did only reaffirms how incompetent of a dealership and business you truly are. This is also the first dealership I’ve seen actively advocate document forgery just to save face and a couple bucks. I will personally ensure this review gets posted on every single review website associated with Lindsay Chevrolet to warn the public of the serious financial danger of doing business here.
