OUR HISTORY Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees. TODAY Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States. We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions. We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. Mr. Botelho, Please accept our humble apology for your less-than-stellar experience in our service drive, this is certainly not the experience we strive for, especially for your first service. Normally a scheduled service (7,500-8,000 mile service) takes about 60-90 minutes to complete. In addition to changing the oil we also rotate the tires and perform a Multi-Point inspection. With this being your first service and your Santa Fe being a complete redesign, we want to make sure everything is as it was when it rolled out of the factory. And of course on this particular visit, we also completed an open recall campaign (Recall #265) for the Main Floor Wiring Harness. Kim, A normal oil change with Multi-Point inspection will take anywhere between 60-90 minutes, but it shouldn't take over two hours...
